The animation was a bit disappointing, with the strange running animation, Wakaba changing places all the time, the tree looks, the simplistic scenery, Rina leaf doing nothing in the end, and more.

Ritsu's Midori kept a memory or Wakaba and attempted to "fix" him when it had enough strength to do so.

Here, you see Midori growing out of original Wakaba's body. That Midori tree grew huge and left some leaves/branches on Island 6.
A branch is found by Ritsu and grew up.
Midori then creates a clone Wakaba from original Wakaba.

The doujins will be glorious.

The ship probably crashed on Earth because there's nobody to pilot it. It's a good thing that Rin destroyed the huge red mutant tree before she left the ship, because otherwise that thing will drink all the water in the world and be completely unstoppable.

I feel like the last episode was rushed.
The three sister's farewell could've used more screen time.
The last boss fight could've been more dramatic and extended. The way the three sisters just cheesing the root was kind of anti-climatic.
They could've added more screen time for Ritsu/Rina/Shiro fighting scene.
They could've added extra scenes like alien Wakaba/Riri being proud of what their "daughters/son" has done to defeat the root.
All in all, I feel like this could've been split to two episodes and end it at episode 13.

2019: The world was built by space faring Wakaba

2012: Midori made a fruit that is Wakaba
2019: Wakaba turned himself into potting soil for Midori, who then grew a clone of him as a fruit

2012: The First Human died immediately after splitting apart
2019: Riri had died and reborn twice, first from Wakaba's 3D printer plant, then from splitting herself up into adult Kemurikusa humans

It's mostly discussed in ep 11 user. The ship is a kemurikusa based floating copy of some of Earth's places to create displays and study the culture of the humans that all died. Since the alien tech is kemurikusa based, the red tree ruining stuff is probably the main cause for the ship going down and landing on the Earth
