I swear even the "serizawa doesnt like natsuo so she's not gonna do the role" arc was more dramatic. The only redeeming feature is straightforwardness of misaki's design, but we can't have nice things so she's gonna disappear forever the moment arc's over.

Stay in denial all you want. The fact is that Rui lost by her own design and intentions. Rui was the one who broke up with Natsuo on her own terms with the full intention of being Family again.
she destroyed all her chances of even being with Natsuo without second guessing or hesitation or doubts.
She broke up on the grounds a relationship between them wont work as they cant make each other happy, they make each other more angry and miserable, and she cant save Natsuos writing which he values more than her.
moving on from Natsuo and just going back to a platonic family is all she wants from him.

for that to happen, everything about the story would have to be completely pointless and Rui would literally become a soulless manipulator for breaking up with Natsuo, on valentines day, after giving him chocolate, after spending the night together, after reconciling after a fight, only to leave him when he needs her support the most.

Unlike you Ruifags who think its all a scheme for Rui to get back with Natsuo later, i actually like Rui despite her flaws, and would prefer she isn't some soulless manipulator who'd break Natsuo's heart just for the intention of skipping out on working through the rough patches of the relationship.

There is no reason for her to get back with Natsuo after she herself made all this clear to Natsuo. Natsuo even had conceded to all her points which is why he couldn't argue against her. She made Natsuo realize everything she said was true, and that's the end of it.

Forgoing fan fictions that turn the majority of the story pointless or small interaction between them in the future, there is no way for Rui to win or be back with Natsuo after that kind of breakup. Especially since, if she hoped they'd get back together, there would be some sign of it.

Even Hina was given plenty of signs she was not breaking up with Natsuo because she wanted to on both the chapters she had to break up and lie to him.
For Rui, it shown she's broken up with Natsuo because she want to, that she believes they wont work as lovers, and that she wants to move on.

I took her breaking up with him as acknowledgement that Natsuo can only be creative when he's got drama.

I have a very convincing theory that Natsuo is in fact the reincarnation of Yoshikage Kira

If we look at Natsuo's behavior and personality, along with his actions it's pretty apparent. The main desire of Yoshikage kira was first and foremost to have a quiet life. Natsuo has the same desire. It may not seem so because Natsuo has a fundamentally different approach to this goal than he did in his past life, but it's the same goal. Natsuo want's a quiet and peaceful career as an author and to have a loving wife. An author is the most quiet profession. Natsuo seeks to have the stability in order to have a quiet life.

Natsuo is not a murderer like he was when he was kira, this is due to the fact that biologically he does not have the same physiology. Instead his desires manifest as real love instead of murderous intent. Yoshikage Kira wanted love himself, but his broken physiology caused this to manifest as murderous intent. That is no longer the case, Natsuo's manifests normally.

There are a lot of hints that suggest this through out the manga. Rui is someone that natsuo was in a relationship but ultimately does not love. Natsuo felt LUST for Rui. This is apparent in his lack of self sacrifice for her and the way their relationship started from a meta narrative perspective. And remember how Rui was injured? It was her HAND. The LUST that Natsuo felt for Rui also coincides with his obsession with hands, Rui's hand injury represents Natsuo's (Yoshikake Kira's) lust for hands and for Rui. Hina has no focus on her hands, because Kira-Natuo's love for her is not based on lust.

Natsuo is Yoshikage Kira reincarnated.

Hina hurt Natsuo so that he didn't throw away his Future and ambitions, so nothing could stop him from pursing it. She didn't hurt him so that he could be inspired by the pain and drama to create his best work, she hurt him so that no scandal or social issues could prevent him from pursuing his Dream.

To say Rui broke up with Natsuo so that he could be inspired to create better work would be cruel on Rui's part. i can understand why Ruishippers would want to believe it.
But if Natsuo was to suffer another writers block, do you expect Rui to break up with him again so he can create better work? do you expect her to take harsher measures to hurt Natsuo so that Drama can inspire him each time he suffered a block? Or to even leave him when he needs someone to help him the most?

Natsuo writers block is something his partner needs to help him overcome, even if that help is just being there for him. Thats all Rui had to do, especially if she wanted a long term relationship.
Ultimately she realized that she couldn't help him over come the writers block, and she was not enough to fill the hole the writers block caused him.
To admit that she couldn't help him with something so important to Natsuo as a person is 'almost' like saying she's not the one for him.

Hina on the other hand had already developed feeling for him by that time from their talks on the rooftop, and although she wasn’t a virgin, she at least lost it to someone she loved and not what was just supposed to be a one night stand.

I just fell asleep on my couch an had a dream about the whole situation. I went to negotiate Natsuo and Misaki's safety instead of the bartender. But the main mafia guy looked completely different. He was wearing a business suit and a pumpkin on his head. Instead of 3 million yen, Misaki owed him 15 million dollars. When I asked him why does he need the money he said that it's "the first step in reclaiming what's rightfully his" and "setting the world's wrongs right". Basically, he wanted to take over the world.
