Mob gets dumped by his crush making all his efforts trying to improve during all the story worthless

interesting, that's actually pretty good

Attached: 1550388967269.jpg (1280x720, 98K)

The extra epilogue implies he's still in contact with her.

I prefer S1, S2 after the house fire was really good though.
Best episode is still this one.

Attached: 1526769292567.jpg (1280x720, 376K)

mob should have gone for tome. she seamed more interested in him out of all the girls

How much is left of the manga? Is there enough for another season?

I also prefer S1 but Reigen arc is 10/10 best part of the series.

Thats some shit taste you got there
And? The manga is finished with no hope of returning
Agreed

That's exactly what I loved about the ending. Based Tsubomi, she even proved her worth by waiting so long in mortal danger.

>worthless

are you retarded

No u

>Thats some shit taste you got there
seems like you don't understand what the ending meant.

Attached: 1539385214654.png (752x1200, 2.59M)

why would you risk your neck for someone you dont even like? Thats just shit writing

Is there a single decent Mob thread up atm? I feel like threads for S2 have been absolutely awful compared to those from S1 which were comfy for the most part. I don't get how such an inoffensive and genuinely good show can cause this much shitposting.

>jojofag

Attached: 1545443981416.png (1600x1600, 2.93M)

what chapter is this?

Life isn't all about wish fullfillment, getting rejected is part of life and growing up. It's time for you to grow up too.

Because they were childhood friends, and she still cares for him as such, therefore placing more value on what he had to say when inviting her out over the phone in a shaky voice. It's all right there in the manga. Did you even read it?

Shounen = shitposting, especially now that S2 has gotten people's attention for being well made.

You talk like you've never had any human relationships, you sound like a fucking bot based on what otakus perceive as reality.

imagine being such a loser that you can't comprehend the idea of self worth or what determines it.

I just feel like it ended too soon and abruptly. I wanted more.

Attached: 1546199369215.jpg (480x480, 36K)

final
back to /r/eddit
mobfag defending garbage as expected
Thats exactly what happens idk why are you so butthurt

ok shitposter

I think he’s the only one in this thread taking things seriously

Because she was worried about her childhood friend who was shaking on the phone. She was also characterized as someone of strong character who is not shaken or sway by external pressure. She is someone who does what she wants. Hell Retsu even forshadowed that she wasn't the kind of girl for Mob.

its a fitting end

Mob was trying to escape this idea of being a star to some manga, he wanted to be a normal boy with struggles.

if it all ended with him getting the girl, after literally going through an archetypal coming of age shounen story, it wouldn't of been the "good" ending in the meta sense.

Sure he gets the girl, but it just fulfills the idea of him being someone special in his story.

being rejected solidifies as just a regular guy that will have to work for what he accomplishes, and that's exactly what he wanted.

I think its smart.

Mob just isn't very good honestly

I like the first season and there are some good parts of s2 like the reigen press conference but all the other parts are just so fucking preachy and one sided

>durr just be happy bro
>YOU'RE JUST LIKE ME X 1000
>Don't bully others!
>Muh Friendship
Fucking Barnie for adults

It makes me confused how One was able to create great scenes like Mob vs Teru when his basic idea's on what's morally right or wrong is literally on par with a child

Attached: 1552121402541.jpg (784x1145, 431K)

isn't the whole story supposed to explore itself from the perspective of a middle schooler?

esp being a symbol for your talents and our intelligence? a person going on to high school and juggling his emotions, while figuring out his place in his life and how to tame his potential.

why would exploring it from the perspective of anything besides a middle schooler make any sense?

NO, REIGEN, HE'S ALREADY DEAD

Attached: reigen.jpg (1000x557, 127K)

Someone spoil me in more detail. I never thoug Mob had a chance with the girl and agree with the whole getting rejected and self worth being more important stuff, but if the manga literally ends right after the rejection I get people being pissed even if op sounds like a bitch, at least show him after moving on and being happy by himself

Like half of the episodes are dedicated to Reigen and how he deals with being an adult with Mob being a minor character on the side while they do wacky adventures, than it moves onto cults and group think and than it moves onto how you shouldn't have retarded ideals as an adult with the entire scar arc.

And s2 are basically the same tropes revisited
So I have no idea where you're coming from with the retarded opinon of having a middle school perspective

The only time they even did a major part on the middle school is when Mob had to run the track

Attached: 1550517991615.jpg (1920x1080, 692K)

That anime sucked
First season was okay
Second was garbage

I meant the approach to these issues, such as mob mentality, adult life, crushes, fitness, morality and so on.

I didn't mean it literally, as in an episode of mob running a track meet in middle school

fair enough though, I see what you mean.

>show him after moving on and being happy by himself
The actual last chapter is showing mob going around and being happy with his friends. This is the last page.

Attached: x15.jpg (664x998, 345K)

there's an epilogue chapter with mob welcoming new body improvement members and pranking reigen at his birthday party

Based hunterchad poiting out how shit mob is

Attached: 1553183423452.jpg (271x275, 14K)

>Mob decides to confess to Tsubomi
>calls her out to a meeting place and goes to her with bouquet of flowers
>on the way there he gets hit by a car
>goes ???%
>keeps walking towards Tsubomi, tearing up the city while doing so
>it takes the collective efforts of his friends to stop him
>Mob himself has a conversation with Shigeo (the part of him that accepts his powers) and they accept each other
>goes to Tsubomi
>gets turned down
>accepts it but cries
>final chapter shows mob displaying a full range of emotions in a healthy way

>getting a girl makes you special
not really, there's billions of people that applies to.

>being rejected solidifies as just a regular guy that will have to work for what he accomplishes
>that will have to work for what he accomplishes
but that's what he did, and then he failed. the lesson from that ending isn't really that hard work will get you the desired outcome.

>huge autist tries to get super /fit/ and sociable to please the class idol
>actually ends up becoming overall less autistic than her
Her sociable nature is a learned mask.
She is likely a high functioning sociopath.

Attached: Tsubomi jiiiiiiii.png (1192x652, 482K)

youre really gonna tell me that in fiction and media, the trope isn't "the guy wins the girl at the end"

that's what I mean by makes him special

plus in the context of the anime and manga, it would make him special because we have seen multiple instances of rejection throughout.

based on that, if he were to be not rejected, he would stick out like sore thumb, which is the opposite of what has happened with him relating to his school life.

he didn't get first in the race
he didn't become leader of the esper club
he doesn't ace all his classes
and he didn't win school president (if I remember correctly)

it would therefore make him "special" in context, and also "special" as in fulfilling the typical fiction ending trope.

winning at one or two things doesn't really make you special. I won the archery nationals two times and yet look where I am right now.

true, but relatively speaking he hasn't put in THAT much hard work.

from my perspective its been a journey of learning to adjust to regular life for him.

he still mob, just mob set on a path of improvement and human journey.

The body improvement club is a great example, mob looks nothing like them yet. His relative work put in is still not much at all compared to them.

psychologically, sure he has, but one he is adjusted psychologically, that's when he can continue his journey in his interaction with the world

Attached: 274774227.png (862x769, 214K)

WHY DO EVERYONE KEEP CALLING KIDS SOCIOPATHS!

>hurr durr the moral of the story is so simple
>too dumb to notice the actual morals and themes
that's some serious 'missing the forest for the trees'. the overarching themes aren't even that high brow.

Ever see lord of the flies?

Kids are fucking sociopaths

>he hasn't put in THAT much hard work.
he's overcome his social isolation, he put in all that work with the body improvement club and so on. he did put a lot of effort into stuff, enough if you want to stick to realistic scenarios where the MC doesn't have to perform some Herculean feats

Alright my big brained nigga, explain to me what are the high capacity 2cnd level morals over the base morals

Attached: vengance.png (1020x507, 1023K)

why does Yea Forums have such a weird look on life where your effort doesn't count unless you become the best of the best and second place is only first loser?
the guys from the body improvement club are clearly not normal in universe, it's not JoJo. none of the other normal characters (that aren't espers with super strength powers) are on their level.

ok. but from the perspective of a middle school girl, what has he done?

that's the point. it would be so cliché and shounen if she just was like "wow mob of course, youre so awesome"

none of those things you mentioned were things that actively improved the relationship he had with her.

the end was a strict reminder that mob is, like any kid who thinks he has some special gift, just another kid.

all that self improvement, (and I say "all" speaking relatvistically) did nothing to start a relationship with the female. it just helped mob, and we see his growth at the end.

could you at least see that?

What kind of lunatic leaves during a game of hide n' seek?
It's up there with torturing cats or doing the Naruto run in P.E, you know that kid is going to grow up into a fucked up adult.

Tsubomi is a shit character, why would you even like her?

>but from the perspective of a middle school girl, what has he done?
What has any middle schooler done? He's a good kid who works hard on himself, that's the only thing they can really do. Middle schoolers aren't in any position to do something of relevance (if you're ignoring the shounen aspect of it).

I am not saying that he should have won her, her role was so minor that I didn't really care. All I'm saying is that him getting to go out with her or whatever would have in no way made him more special than he already was, or elevated him above the level of effort he put into it. Relationships aren't the Olympics where only one person on the planet can win.

im not saying they are big brain, but I love listing and thinking of moral themes and lessons so here goes

- futility
- humility
- opportunity even when it appears your being used
- self autonomy
- the idea of civilization and its reason (to help and continue the flourishing of the individual)
- the problems of profit > people]
- the role of family in growing up
- your struggles (ie mobs growth) are not acknowledged by others (the girl not noticing)
- learn from the mistakes that others have done
- arguments against moral relativism
- spirituality ie. something bigger than us
- and obviously things like self control, emotional support, care for others, self improvement and all the in your face things

theres more but they are more of a stretch

these are all more than "don't bully your friends hurr durr"

did you just skip over the entire manga and read the last few pages just to shit post? the entire last chapter was a huge exposition dump explaining Mob's major internal conflict that has been haunting him for the entire series.
even the anime has gotten past the point where it's revealed that Mob realizes his foundational moral of "don't use ESP against people" was just an off hand comment from a con man and doesn't follow it to a tee anymore. so I don't see how a reasonable person would think that that's the primary message of the entire series.

i have to agree, i like to think mob goes onto marry tome after the ending and she and him inherit reigan's office and run it as a family business helping people with mobs powers and their kids.

>>What kind of lunatic leaves during a game of hide n' seek?
>around 10 or so
>playing hide'n'seek in the local forest with a friend
>couldn't find him
>start panicking thinking something might have happened
>no mobile phones at that time so I also couldn't just call him
>spent hours looking for him and it turned out he just went home
Fucked me up quite a bit. He also never apologized for it.

It'd better if Mob went with the writing chick anyways. Or literally any of the other ones. He barely interacted with Tsubomi in all of the manga, and while they are childhood friends and she cares about him, there was also obviously no real chemistry. At the very least they keep in touch, which is nice.

I think at the very least, Mob would have reacted differently if he didn't develop at all. He probably would've gone Serizawa's route of being a shut-in and wouldn't know how to deal with it. The final battle and a lot of the last arc is accepting his emotions, accepting his friends, and accepting himself.

The problem is not that he gets rejected, is that the final was just that, like it was just wasted potential for more material, something that would make this more worthless, is the reason that things keeps going which makes it dissapointing, because we'll never see more of that.

not sure how much the manga adds in terms of internal dialogue regarding her but from the anime it's hard to tell if he even really cares about her or if it's just some infatuation with her good looks. I don't remember any really meaningful interaction between them, even writing chick seemed to have more chemistry.
though I might be forgetting about some season 1 stuff because it's been a while already and the Reigen recap didn't really cover her

>futility
Except for the fact that they break this lesson everytime by having Mob be able to do everything he wants making him have almost zero limitations

>humility
I already addressed that with "don't bully others" because that's essentially how deep it goes with the moral lesson of humility by having all the other characters submit to mob's overwhelming force
So what's the actual lesson?
"Be humble or else some god king autistic kid is going to beat you up"
Like ???
What?

>opportunity even when it appears *you're being used
You mean the latest episode with the neet?
His literal thing was trying to be friends with someone who hired him to do something, it's a retarded fucking lesson on par with "try to be friends with your boss"
So again
"Muh friendship

>self autonomy
I think you're confused, the lesson for that is "don't be a delusional adult"
Who's moral lesson is basically "Bro just be happy and be the cog in the system, you're not special and never will be because here is someone who is special but preaches that he isn't"

>The idea of civilization and its reason
You mean the one literal throw away line of
"Don't break cans because you didn't make them"
Yeah, great fucking insight
Guess what, most people don't actually make cans or farm.
In the modern world it's mostly all automated with people being assigned jobs to basically oversee the tasks.
Most of the time people aren't even needed.

>the problems of profit > people
Where is that in the series?

>the role of family in growing up
What role does his family even have in any of Mob's dilemma's
In fact other than his brother his parents see him sort of as a lament and his dad just cracks jokes while mob silently eats
whilst his brother got super jealous and had to put on a fake happy face to keep the kid from sperging out
And the conclusion to that was "Well I guess I have powers too now so I no longer need to be jealous."
So what was the role of his family?

I ran out of space.
ur gay

Attached: 4192634-8651256821-37062.jpg (1280x720, 74K)

Takane literally means unattainable, she was never meant to be a realistic partner for him, but his goal to keep pushing himself beyond his limits, she's more of a plot device than a person.

The primary lesson that's inhibited throughout the series is that

>no one is special and everyone is essentially the same except the people who aren't but they should act the same as the ones who are because they might need the non-special people to make their fucking hamburgers

It's incredibly fucking retarded and can be disproven by literally going outside

Attached: flat,550x550,075,f.jpg (550x310, 27K)

the point of Mob getting rejected is to spotlight the idea that you don't need external acknowledgement to validate self improvement. people reading the series are pushed reflect on how they still feel proud of what Mob accomplished, instead of just being happy that he got a girl. Mob getting another chick just undermines that.

nope, missed it again. that's not even brought up in the final arc.
you'd be a lot better at trolling this series if you actually read it.

you assumed most of those examples incorrectly and concluded wildly different perspectives from my initial analysis. if you would like I could break each one down further.

for example, the lesson of futility is continually addressed throughout. you got one aspect of it, mobs ESP ability far surpassing others. you missed the other, Reigen the worthless conman being this all powerful espers "master"

its not as simple as just "mob can do everything and anything so therefore the writer obviously was not trying to comment on the importance of futility in the human experience"
to paraphrase you.

its a juxtaposition between the awkward, weak, completely helpless average middle schooler, bringing other high and might espers back to earth, this establishes the first tenant of the stories futility lesson'

1. You are not great, because even the smallest of the small can accomplish more than you have

another way of putting it is "god works in mysterious ways"

this first tenant ties in to the idea that we should value all things, such as the ant and the fly, as theyre role in our existance is as monumentally important as your ego.

another strenghthening argument for this is the idea of innocence, and how that innocence can overcome the constant struggle and corruption of the troubled life. ultimately rendering that persons idea of grandeur or depression futile.

the juxtaposition is with that first tenant/mob, and the character of reigen. a literal scumbag, adult who uses ever trick in the book to make money of helpless people. even going so far as to take advantage of mob for profit (see opportunity even when it appears youre being used AND problems of profit>people)

the reason for this contrast is that after establishing mob as this all powerful esper, this lowlife completely average person is his master, because in the context of real life (non esp) mob must accept his futility to grow and improve.

2nd tenant- accept your futility and you can grow

Or maybe the author wrote basic brainlet cape shit ideology which is repeated in every marvel movie and you're adding your own personal beliefs into something that's 1 dimensional

Tsubomi is a thot

>its a juxtaposition between the awkward, weak, completely helpless average middle schooler, bringing other high and might espers back to earth, this establishes the first tenant of the stories futility lesson'
>1. You are not great, because even the smallest of the small can accomplish more than you have
not him but that's not really a good way of portraying it. if it wasn't for Mob simply being the strongest Toichiro would have succeeded. one single case doesn't prove or disprove a general concept.

Succeeded in what exactly? Annoying the living shit outta everyone till they acknowledge him as some supreme ruler in name only? He can't exactly rule by destruction alone.

continued

by mob accepting this average person as his "master' it echoes the teachings of jesus Christ. not to value yourself over others.

as mob continually understands that there are those stronger than him in life, (any middle schooler can see that in a teacher or a father)
he can be ok with being at a lower point in life, with the certainty that he can and will grow through observing and learning from those around him

ill ignore this because ITS LITERALLY SPELLED OUT in the season 1 finale, where they tell you and use metaphor to show that by trusting his master 100 percent allows him to not only understand his own futility which allows him to just let an adult handle it, but take a backseat and witness what he himself does to other espers throughout the 1st season. The creator literally put it right in front of your face by flipping the roles, and you still didn't get it.

to reiterate. the second tenant, accepting futility allows for room to grow, is shown by reigen through his relation to mob as an adult, but a worthless one at that. one that has so much to teach him because we can learn from everything and everyone. This world is much bigger than us, and pretending that it revolves around is denying your own futility.

everyone is worth something because of this.

i understand the whole "maybe the curtains are just blue, it doesn't have to mean anything" but you also cant assume an author doesn't try to create something beautiful and meaningful with his own interpretation of life. and sure i might be incorrect but at least acknowledge the validity of my arguments and the logical reasoning.

whats the point of asking for examples if you aren't going to try to understand?

btw i love hunter x hunter too. idk if its some weird fandom thing for you but in the end they are both great works and you shouldn't be so offensive imo

my main point wasn't held up by the toichiri incident, its mainly strenghthened by the continued dynamic of mob and reigen, their roles in society and there roles in the esper world. Reigen helps mob by beating the hardest espers, and mob helps reigen in finding meaning in life. these are the exact opposites of what they are trying to do with each other, and shows that futility is not a bad thing, because positivity can arise from both situations and accepting it allows you to learn and grow. idk its hard to explain in a quick forum post lol

Congratulations you've officially made the gayest post on Yea Forums today

>Mob teaches you about jesus christ

If that's not fucking reaching than I don't know what is

Attached: ya tripped her nick.png (725x440, 443K)

>by mob accepting this average person as his "master' it echoes the teachings of jesus Christ.
seriously? I'm not one to disregard personal interpretations, but this is huge fucking stretch. I don't know why you're writing an essay for a troll in the first place but your wacky head cannons aren't going to help.

so when is murata going to redraw mob psycho? i'm waiting until then to pick it up. just can't stand one's art

I think he could have caused enough of a destruction to gain some high center of power in Japan or the world just to appease him

Sort of like a Kim Jun Un Character but rather than nukes it's psychic powers
Mutual assured destruction guarantee

Also it's not that crazy of a concept either, that's literally what the mongol army was
You can 100% rule by destruction

allusion noun
al· lu· sion | \ ə-ˈlü-zhən

\
Definition of allusion
1
: an implied or indirect reference especially in literature
a poem that makes allusions to classical literature
also : the use of such references
2
: the act of making an indirect reference to something : the act of alluding to something

If mob teaches something, and jesus Christ taught something, that's an allusion to its ideology. its not just jesus if that triggers you, its also guys like Confucius, the buddha, and some greek philosphers. Jesus was just the first and most mainstream one i could think of that taught respect and love for even the sinner and smallest of things. yall need to chill lol

But that can only work if you already had a nation to spend, one person alone can't accomplish shit. The 600 men army isn't even close to what is required to rule a nation.

despite the people mocking you for these posts, i think it makes sense what you are saying. i just wanted to let you know that.
god bless you.

thanks i guess haha. stuff like this is fun for me, i loved English class and most people look down on anime, so its real fun talking about this with people but i appreciate the thanks either way. god bless you too

Again, that's not true at all

9/11 was basically 2 people and destroyed 2 buildings but it changed an entire country to the point where Americans still celebrate 9/11 every year for 20 years now
Fucking take someone like Hitler who had even less people when he started with basically just people he talked to at a bar and managed to usurp an entire country
Or a Lenin who basically through one revolution took control of the worlds biggest country

Your assumption is that destruction or power stays on a plateu and never grows from the initial plan when the reality is that through an individuals actions a party or ideology continually grows larger and larger

600 men today becomes 1200 tomorrow

Attached: 1550807014044.jpg (1435x774, 104K)

NEEEERD

what? I'm saying it's a dumb reference because Mob never fully accepts Reigen as his master. if anything it sounds like you're manipulating and shoe horning the the story into a narrative you're already familiar with.
>i loved English class
apparently not so much with all of those grammatical errors.

just watch the episode where he 100 percent puts trust in reigen. its the last one (or second to last) of the season for a reason. i really think that is him accepting reigen and either way my other points stand.

and i loved English class because of its abstract thinking and thematic discussion. admittedly i did not have good grammar (by choice) and was constantly ousted by the teacher as not focusing on the detail as much as the bigger picture. i love looking at a stories big picture, so i loved English class. math science and grammar are all very specific, detail oriented issues. i was good at them but they weren't as exciting to me.

When will Mob get a gf?
At this rate his brother will lose his virginity before him.

>S2 after the house fire was really good though.
I personally consider the claw arcs are the worst parts of both seasons.

t. someone who doesn't understand what the series was about
Mob was about his own personal growth to not being completely dependable of his esper powers

Just because you put your trust in someone doesn't make it an allegory to Jesus you absolute fucking retard
I put trust in my fucking waiter not to spit in my food or a taxi driver not to ride off of the road, Doesn't mean I'm accepting theological virtues in my heart because of it

Attached: come on now.png (608x755, 801K)

>tsubomi turned him down
if she only knew who she turned down.
but, i'm glad, i never felt the vibe that they would get together.
mob deserved someone better.

>implying chadtsu is a virgin

Tsubomi knows what Mob is.

but i wasn't saying that's what makes it an allegory to jesus. youre arguing something i didn't say.
>by mob accepting this average person as his "master' it echoes the teachings of jesus Christ. not to value yourself over others

MOB. this basically omnipotent being, puts accepts someone who is basically an ant to him, as his MASTER. this allows im to trust reigen to literally defeat his enemies for him. LITERALLY DEFEAT HIS ENEMIES FOR HIM.

this echoes the TEACHINGS of jesus Christ, that EVERYONE is worth something

and now that i take a second look at it, you made me realize it is even MORE of an allegory to jesus

SINCE HE LITERALLY DEFEATS MOBS ENEMEIS RIGHT IN FRONT OF HIM BECAUSE MOB TRUSTED HIM

i don't get what your point in arguing is? is it funny to you to incoherently argue against strawmen and throw out ad hominems at a random internet poster on a thread about a childrens anime?

if you want to learn that's fine if not whatever.

It's true. I changed a lot since then but as a child I was really fucked. And my dad didn't care to fix it while my mom thought it was a good thing because it meant I was fairly quiet and didn't cause too much trouble.

Multiple threads, and even counting the fujos' by far this is the cringiest one

Mob's fanbase never cease to amaze me

>i really think that is him accepting reigen and either way my other points stand.
again, you're just ignoring the context of the scene to fit a specific narrative. if you like abstract thinking you're doing yourself a disservice by relating everything back to ideas you're already comfortable with.
>admittedly i did not have good grammar (by choice)
this is just retarded. I'm guessing you're trying to be quirky or unique, but you're just sabotaging yourself.

Is Mob literally a deconstruction of the capeshit genere, by pointing out that capeshit is inherently gay, so he obviously doesn't get the gril in the end?

Attached: x-mob-esperman-chad.jpg (825x464, 46K)

i am not ignoring the context of the scene. how about you explain why the context of the scene falsifies my assertion?

why would i care about being quirky on a rando internet forum? i didn't care about grammar so its by choice

At least mob has an ending and no boring green island training arcs fag

Unlike Ed from fma b
He gets winry bitch

>i am not ignoring the context of the scene
>MOB. this basically omnipotent being, puts accepts someone who is basically an ant to him, as his MASTER.
Mob isn't portrayed as an omnipotent being bestowing his power to some lowly peasant to do his bidding. the scene is very explicitly about a scared child without the maturity or resolve to handle a situation.
with that level of mental gymnastics you could see any story as a bible story, instead of enjoying it as a new perspective.
>why would i care about being quirky on a rando internet forum?
well you said it kept it bad for your English teacher, and that practice persisted into your casual typing. I have no idea why you'd want a habit that makes you read like a 5th grader.

it's just some retard trying to rile up people by pretending to be """hunterchad"""
probably heroacafag or something
look how all of his pics so far are just taken from google

>worthless
Fucking retard, you learned nothing.

Why is he always sad?

>Based Tsubomi
Yeah so based
Mob suffered multiple anxiety attacks centered around his powers, risked his life multiple fucking times, had dozens of crisis of character, all while trying to get fit to impress this chick and she says 'no'.
She's a fucking cunt, most of Mob's crisis revolved around trying to become better so she'd like him and she just turns him down.
HE FUCKING SPENT 6 MONTHS IN A FUCKING ILLUSION WHERE HE WAS BULLIED EVERY SINGLE DAY, I DON'T GIVE A RAT'S FUCKING ASS ABOUT 'MUH ANTI-WISH FULFILLMENT' GIVE MOB WHAT HE FUCKING EARNED.

tome was always the right girl for mob. she has always been there for him ever since they meet even asking him out on a canon date. it can be assumed they end up a couple after the end. she even asks mob about tsubomi, as she cares about his emotions and how he feels.

But it was good

Same. I've had good discussions about Mob on other platforms, but Yea Forums has been consistently shitting on it all season for some reason, this last episode bringing out the worst Mob threads of them all. I'm almost happy it'll be over next week so the threads will stop.

thanks, I'll add that to my tripfag opinions document

that's life, faggot. Sometimes things never workout, but it doesn't mean you should give up.

S2 really felt like a dumpster fire except for the reigen episodes and some of the later fights

Thats a whole lot of a better ending than I would have expected from the ongoing Claw arc in the anime. I feared it would boil down to some powerlevel final fight wankery.

Guess it's to drive home the point that your internal change isn't necessarily appreciated or even recognized by your external surroundings, at least not immediately.

what if things never work out?
asking for a friend.

I think a lot of people are forgetting that Mob has had a very obvious (and childish) one-sided crush on Tsubomi since the beginning. Ritsu was scared of her rejecting him for a while even before Mob thought about confessing. He was never going to get the girl. I think the ending was fine, even great, I am glad that Mob reconciled with his repressed self. Just think about it, if he destroyed the entire city and endangered his friends and family just to confess to Tsubomi and gets rewarded for it, it would feel kind of cheap.
The only other choices is to either keep on going, or end it all, and ending it all is cowardly and running away from your problems. Sometimes life is just fucking shit but there's millions of people who are in the same boat as you so that's why the world won't give you special treatment. Think about what Reigen said to Sakurai/sword guy

yeah but what if life doesn't stop being fucking shit, no matter what?

Stop being a fag about it, there's no other option, focus your energy elsewhere

I mean, last year was an extremely shit year for me. Almost lost my life from a rare disease from a foodborne ailment, lost a close loved one, my MS program didn't work out for me, friend was suicidal, etc. Life doesn't have a guide, you just gotta keep at it, how cheesy that sounds. Everyone has this belief they're the main character to this story called life. I'm no one special, and so are you. But that's what makes life interesting, the struggles of it and learning from it. Reading Berserk, Mob, and watching movies made me realize that, and makes me appreciate life even more. Also, I was pretty pissed as I was dying that I wouldn't finish Berserk.

Brainlet. The whole point of the manga was Mob growing as a person. Tsubomi was just a mcguffin.

Attached: 1468769909159.png (400x500, 183K)

I don't think there's a concrete answer since I don't know if the problems that are causing your life to be shit are solvable or able to cope with in a different way. Like I said, you have two choices. If you can go out and fix yourself but are hindered by your own wallowing, the only person who can help you is yourself. If you're alone, you have to put yourself out there even if it's terrifying. If you're physically unable to do things due to brain chemicals, other medical issues, or lifestyle, seek to change that or learn skills to cope with it.
Speaking as someone who's wasted almost 10 years of their younger life lamenting how shitty everything is and accepting it, it's better to force yourself to move on. Tough self-love and forcing yourself to not focus on the negativity of life is hard to cultivate, but you're going to look back on wasted years and really regret it, I did. That what makes me move forwards every day.

Attached: consider the following.png (1143x636, 1.08M)

S2 literally adapts the worst parts of the manga. The Claw arc is unironic action shounen and it's very boring. At least the anime is blazing through it

It's a little embarassing to admit how much I think about the ideals of MP100 in my daily life, I realize a lot of it is simple statements of being a good person but it's stuck with me for so long

This.

user that sounds awful, my heart goes out to you, i'll keep you in my prayers tonight.

>you're going to look back on wasted years and really regret it
Not him but I already do. Doesn't help that it wasn't really me wasting them and more me being the Shit-Midas. Despite my best efforts, everything went wrong and now I'll never be in a position to get another shot at these things.
Sometimes I wish I wasn't just born regular-dumb but blissful-dumb.

I just watched the most recent episode and holy fuck. The power of friendship and moralist dialogs are getting really fucking annoying.

Then this show isn't for you, stop watching it and then we won't have to hear your shitty opinions here

Thanks, I really appreciate it. I really do.

You can change that regret by taking advantage of future opportunities instead of accepting that you fuck everything up. You have the choice to not let those years add up. It all sounds like hurr durr be positive stop being sad, but trust me once you start forcing yourself to think that way, your mindset will change. You can research this topic yourself but the human brain is very elastic (called plasticity) For example, depressed people wear figurative grooves into their brain when being depressed, causing their mindset and thoughts to veer into negativity easier and easier with time. There's legitimate physical changes. It's why therapy also includes positive thinking and different perspective options alongside any other treatment.

Isn't it implied that they are still in touch and phone each other?
Doesn't seem something that normal friends do.

Mob has been preachy trash all the way though.

Not him, but this arc is honestly the worst. I love Mob, but this arc comes off as generic battle shounen. The next two arcs after this do a much better job conveying their message without being so annoyingly straight forward.

Lmao assblasted fanboy. I'll watch whatever the fuck I want.

>normal friends don't keep in touch
What?

I'm pretty sure he said he wouldn't. They've made some other one shots together though.

Based as fuck, this is the best way it could've ended

The point is not to change yourself for someone else but to recognize who YOU want to be, if you keep chasing after some thot you're never gonna make it

>Lmao
upvoted XD

it's no problem, i'll be praying for you to have a long healthy life and for love and joy to find it's way to you.

It's not that I don't try to take opportunities because I assume I will fuck them up, it's just that I do fuck them up whenever I take them.
And some opportunities are reserved for your youth, you don't get another shot at them later on.
I can definitely see the figurative grooves thing being real though.

>Doesn't seem something that normal friends do.

I find my (american) culture in general to be quite harsh on people who've failed to meet the expectations of others, people who haven't become "successful" in the eyes of the independent-oriented society.
Those who don't meet the standard are generally cast aside by their peers and loved ones, something about it really irks me.

Sorry I was trying to make some kind of point but then I lost my mind for a second
What I wanted to say was, this is an English language website and we get English speakers here no matter what country they're actually from
And I guarantee a lot of those people learned to be fluent in English by watching John Connor score touchdowns against the Terminator

>some opportunities are reserved for your youth, you don't get another shot at them later on.
That is true. Unfortunately there's no time machine to change that fact. At times, I think about how if I did something differently in my past, I would have the life I want to have. But thinking about that doesn't help me in the long run, or even the short term, it just bums me out. For every opportunity you fuck up, there's multiple more opportunities that you may not be looking at.
There's no magic cure or answer to letting your past haunt you to the point where you may feel stagnant. It's a long process that you will fuck up in and return to harmful thinking, but the good thing about attempting to change your outlook on life is it's impossible to fail at. If you think you're failing at feeling better, you're actually acknowledging that you need and want to feel better, which is just an integral step to coping with life. I'm being vague on purpose because bringing examples will turn this into blogposting but I hope you can take any ideas I've said and incorporate them in your life.
Mob has people around him to help set him straight, if you have no one irl there can always be some user willing to talk shit out even if it's on some fucking thread on a Japanese spirit exorcising forum.

Attached: umbrella.png (1141x634, 982K)

It's amazing how people say that Mob deserved it. The whole show drives the point that you're not the super special MC. Tsubomi while kinda shown from the perspective of the show apparently as Mob's final trophy was always hinted to be more than that, and especially the chapter. Mob worked hard, but so there might've been yet another character Y that worked even harder off screen and had better chemistry and more actual contact with Tsubomi, and so there is Tsubomi that isn't just supposed to be Mob's trophy for being a good boy.

World is comprised of winning and losing. When you want something there aren't MC priorities that make sure you will get it over yet another person working for something.

I think the problem is some people believe that if you work hard enough you WILL get the girl you want if you focus on her, I hate using this term but it reminds me of a "nice guy" (Why doesn't she like me when I did X, Y, and Z) SOmetimes she just isn't the one for you.

>Just b urlsef
Very helpful, asshole.

>missing the moral of the story this hard

What's your answer, be someone else? That's going to disappoint you more.

This is exactly what i hate about mob and its fans, You're not trying to help people. All you do is act like smug cunts and offer platitudes.

Cute. Source pls?

Sorry if it seemed condescending or smug. It's just how I deal with my own issues. I'm no therapist or enlightened person, nor did I say I had a concrete answer to the user but he still deserved some kind of reply.

Don't apologize, he doesn't even enjoy the show. He's shitposting

He has a valid point, nothing I say is going to instantly fix anything, nor will any ideals shown in Mob, but it doesn't mean that they're totally useless in the end. It can still help someone, not everyone or everything.

Sometimes people aren't worth apologizing to. His point isn't valid

I like this about Mob. Makes him relatable.

Attached: cute_mob.jpg (1280x721, 71K)

I think what the other user meant is that Mob basically never interacts with Tsubomi. They've grown distant, so him asking her out comes out of the blue.

What type of cat would Reigen be?

A dog (or non-cat animal) that looks and acts like a cat to fit in with the whole fraud trope. Maybe even fox

Foxes are basically cats in canine clothing, so yeah I could see Reigen being that

>Tsubomi owes him love because he went through some shit to get to her.
Literal incel logic. I unironically feel sorry for you. I hope you're a teenager so there's hopefully a chance for you to mature.

I would say its good. Women(and people in general) don't give a shit about efforts they want results. In fact showing effort make you look like tryhard which is turn off. You need to pretend you succeded effortlessly.

Damn, will have to get new glasses. Thanks and sorry.

Not him but I just never liked tsubomi in general. She doesn't owe him love, but she's still a cold-blooded cunt in her own right. They never had good chemistry either imo, he saw her with rose tinted goggles even though she was a little shit to him as a kid

Better than soul eater’s manga ending

>fan service ending

It's literally a showcase of Mob's character development. He takes it like a champ showing us that all the growth he's gone through wasn't in vain and didn't disappear with his goal to get together with Tsubomi ending up in failure.

I feel like Mob getting rejected was a sign of maturity. He moved past the one-sided childish crush he had

Oh I knew he was gonna get rejected from the start. Although sometimes I wonder if he moved on since they still have contact. I thought that he was gonna move on from his crush at the end of the manga, before I read the ??? arc

Maybe not completely. But I doubt he will pursue her anymore.

I was always a bit annoyed at how he fawned over her despite how she treated him in the past and her completely ignoring him, but I guess that's from being on the outside looking in from a reader perspective. I guess it also reminded me too much of me when I was younger

He's 14, 14 year olds have some real dumb ideas sometimes. I think that alone is universal.

It's already been said a million times in this thread, but to say that it makes mob's growth throughout the whole series worthless is to entirely miss the point.
He had the goal of wooing tsubomi. That failed, which is fine, she's her own person who has the right to turn him down.
Mob used that, though, as a means of becoming the best version of himself he could be.
Besides, no single relationship is the end-all. Now that he can be satisfied with himself, maybe his next crush will be more interested in him.

Oh it's funny how stupid most childhood crushes are. I remember falling for my brother's roommate just because he thought I was pretty

Tsubomi is the ideal image of maturity, the only cuntish things she's done were during early childhood. She is very socially aware and is very capable of establishing healthy boundaries.

Get rekt, mobfags

Attached: Suiryu.jpg (405x633, 50K)

I seriously doubt they are interested in each other. Not every caring relationship has to be romantic, tome is just a very good platonic friend.

Tome is a little stupid in the romantic department too, in the Reigen spinoff (basically a Tome spinoff) she gets hit on by a guy and she's totally oblivious to it.

>basically a Tome spinoff
Yeah this really disappointed me in the long run, I wish it was more about Reigen

He had his cool moment in Chapter 7. I'm not sure if it's a side effect of not having Mob around to constantly put an act for, or learning his lesson in the main manga, but he seemed more subdued in his manga.
On a related note, ONE said he was thinking about doing a Dimple spinoff but he feels like there's no demand for it. Now that would be interesting to see.

Best would be realising she's a worthless thot, fucking off, using his powers to get rich and then taking some time to find a girl who is not a golddigger.
But Nips hate individualism.

Burgers everyone

In fact I'm from Eastern Eurpean shithole. But ad personam is a pisspoor tactic, attack my point, not my character.

Ok. It would go against all of mobs characterization to have him use his powers on something as materialistic and emotionally unfulfilling as getting rich. Also there's nothing wrong with disliking individualism, it's their culture. In fact there are a lot more interdependent-based cultures in the world than indepent-based ones

*independent-based

With based taste

Thank you for making this bait thread, now we can at least have one good one.

i was disappointed this scene didnt last longer

I'm not saying anything about fitting the story (which wasn't a good story in the first place), just that using what cards you were dealt is the best choice.
And let me tell you that chasing money to make ends meet is not fun, if you had superpowers the first step should be securing financial stability (unless you are morally OK with stealing), then you can do whatever you want.

You’re a complete moron. The point was that he had made progress in his feelings and could handle rejection without losing control and accept the support of his friends. That’s a way more significant sign of progress than him dating a girl he barely spoke to over the course of the series

>which wasn't a good story in the first place
Then why are you here, in a thread about a series that you didn't like?

This is exactly my gripes with Mob. Glad a fellow hunterchad exposed Mob as the mediocrity that it is.

Why are mods so fucking useless?

Because I felt like posting about it. What more reason do I need?

People like you are the reason mob threads went to shit from ep.9 onward. I sincerely hope your fingers fall off so you can never post here again

Yea Forums is NOT your personal safe space. For what's it worth I watch Mob just for the animation while despising the shallow plot.

Just off yourself, faggot.

I'm not claiming it's my personal safespace, it's just there was actual discussion and calmness in the threads before shitposters like you came in by the hundreds to ruin everyone's fun.
What said

While I fucking love the anime, I miss Mob threads before the anime.
The manga threads were great.

I have been calm and sincere the whole time, you are really pathetic if someone disliking the MC's live choices makes you this mad.

Shut the fuck up and keep on sucking cocks, cockmongler.

This misplaced, brainless anger seems forced. Are you falseflagging the fanbase?

What was the thread for the last chapter like? I remember glancing at it but not going in

Lots of tears.

I was in prison during the 10 last chapters or so so I couldn't take part in the threads.

What if YOU'RE the one false-falseflagging?

But you got me interested, what would be the point? You already seem to hate anyone who dislikes what you like, so there should be no need for that.

Every 2nd thread has been shit from the beginning, this one actually has been decent until someone started complaining about the shitposting. Funnily enough such comments are what's actually derailing the threads, even if you meant well.

Honestly I'm just too tired. This thread is reeking with the smell of new people/ Yea Forumstards and everyone in-between.
