The S2 content wasn't finished in the manga until 2018. That's the earliest JC Staff could've started adapting it into storyboards and work out the episodic pacing.

There's two sets of manga, the original and Murata's version. Murata's version is part way through the garou arc and the anime should be ending s2 around the start of the garou arc.

S2 presumably covers up to the end of volume 16. There's almost seven volumes worth of manga after that.

Season 2 will cover up to chapter 84(that chapter was 143 pages long).
