>RESPECT AND OBEY YOUR ELDERS, YOU LITTLE REBELLIOUS SHIT, OTHERWISE SEE WHAT HAPPENS!
What a shitty dishonest flick.
RESPECT AND OBEY YOUR ELDERS, YOU LITTLE REBELLIOUS SHIT, OTHERWISE SEE WHAT HAPPENS!
>expecting anything else from takahata
OP-kun, I think I love you and I am glad I am not the only one who disliked that message from the film
> Fireflies, Lolipop/Bullet, MOTHER 3, Fatal Frame 2, Persona 2, Clannad AS, Utena, Goodnight Punpun
Why are Nips so obsessed with making things that are depressing as fuck?
Actually it was the short story, that the movie was inspired on, author attempt at punishing himself for not giving rations to his baby sister, eating her part and letting her die.
He states that the protagonist is way cooler and self renegade then he actually was and that the punishments he get, specially death, are just his way to find atonement
Also the author or director where kind of pedos that said some bullshit about the relationship between the MC and the sister was akin one of sexual awakening and a married couple so I guess they started the imouto trend in anime too
You think only Nips can be depressing? Have you seen the media that the Soviet block produced?
>Clannad AS
>Depressing
Death by random unexplained disease is not depressing.
Do your elders know that you made this thread, OP?
>Clannad AS, Utena, Goodnight Punpun
>depressing as fuck
Those are not depressing.
Clannad ES is cathartic and a story about the mc-kun overcoming his broken relationship with his father as past and healing through helping others. Everyone is happy in the end as the magical city acknowledges he learned his lesson.
Utena is about Anty breaking out of the helpless princess/evil witch mentality trap, stop self sabotaging and acquiring agency to leave her abusive cage/childhood/escapism.
Goodnight Punpun was mostly made by the author to be edgy and shock the readers, but also Punpun grows up in the end and stops being a little bitch that blames his family and the world for everything and takes the hard path that is to keep living despite how suffering is a given.
Could you share some of that Soviet chinese cartoons user?
>. Everyone is happy in the end as the magical city acknowledges he learned his lesson.
And then undermines it all be claiming it was all a dream
Who said it was a dream?
>Fatal Frame 2
Never played this but now I wish I did. That story sounds fucking cool
It's slow paced, but if you don't mind Ghost stories you will absolutely love it.
It was a dream, or time travel. There was something that made him go back in time and erase all the development he went through
Stop thinking your dumb animu theorist youtubers are canon kid.
What made him erase all he went through is the fact that the story is based on a visual novel where you only get the happy ending if you go through all the routes you brainlet.
But that's what happened, one minute you had a scene where he is hugging his dying kid and the next he wakes up when his kid is being born.
>western viewers think its about how war is bad because they are under the illusion that asians have souls
>japanese sociopath says it was about respecting your elders
Because the city was magic and the future daughter in the waste land or something helped future regretful soul MC robot.
Why is it so hard to understand that not everything is a shyamalan, it's just a magical story crafted to make you cry and feel healed, the freaking writer was literally an otaku psychology major.
...
shut up you soulless insect
nice try americafat, not even close to asia and 0% asian genes
Because thats the lesson in the film.
I mean, its not like they weren't already doing this on a society wide scale.
The real message in that film is B-29 good, slanteyes bad.
Go back to your cage, /pol/lack
not before I nuke you
