What went wrong?
The Underwhelming Neverland
Shit from the very beginning
its shonen
kids aren't allowed to die
especially not the main characters
Mostly how they handled certain key points in the manga such as mother's realization that they're alive when they're escaping, and overall how they depicted Sistah Krone as some crazy lady instead of making her a real individual character that stands out in the series.
They overcapitalized on random as fuck smaller segments and inbetween moments from the manga, and basically pales in comparison to the overall pacing of the story.
They honestly just fucked up because they didn't know how to properly handle situational awareness.
>1st chapter
>1st episode
They literally killed a kid at the beginning what the fuck are you talking about? Did you even read or watch this shit?
>its shonen
>main characters arent allowed to die
killing a kid off as the premise of the story doesn't mean that the kid killed was a character or impactful.
Not a damn thing you faggots. The adaptation is fantastic and hit it out of the park on nearly 90% of the manga on a high note.
Could not have asked for a better adaptation honestly.
>Rock solid voice work
>Well animated
>Fantastic opening
>Camera work and framing of scenes are directed nicely
I don't have any complaints.
conny served her purpose to establish how bad the demon were
>norman didn't die
>ray didn't die
>emma didn't die despite being fataly wounded
The MC Norman died, spoilers
>The MC Norman died
1. No he didn't
2. He's not the MC, he's the heroine
its kind of forshadowed that his fate wasn't dying considering he was suprised to see what was on the other side of the door
And this arc is the peak of the manga, imagine how shitty the rest is.
The ridiculous premise of children acting like Genius adults. I can't take it seriously
the whole premise is despair. there will never be any development or actual progress.
It's weird that people hyped this up so much but now it's airing very few actually talk about it.
Nothing, it's 1000x better then overhyped pieces of shit like Code Geass, Eva, Steins Gate, Your Name or Clannad
>Norman
>dead
>MC
Gas all animeonlys.
Mangachads coming through.
After the first episode*
Dull characters, shitty strategies, no stakes, too much contrivance.
>B-but muh inner dialogues
I'm talking about the anime AND the manga.
What the fuck did you expect from YA shit?
Not him but Norman is pretty much the MC of the first arc
No best boy
No best boy? Are we reading the same manga?
How badly are they gonna fuck up episode 12?
The adaptation is fine, the main source is the problem. Their escape is so silly it looks like an asspull.
How did they escape again? I don't even remember now.
He's gonna get you, boy
They use the fire as a distraction, then make a rope with sheets and jump the wall.
I wonder if the fanbase will be reacting to that plan positively
