Fuck you, I thought this was the new chapter thread.
Anime was fucking trash,
Manga is decent
The most basic? No, it was more like as if the first Fable game came out today and it expected us to find something as basic as the idea of evil fresh and innovative/revolutionary.
So close enough but no, it was trash like most of the stuff you see on Yea Forums so nothing new.
Hehe gottem
It happens often, too bad i was referring to the Manga and don't get me wrong maybe my expectations were to high, i mean is enjoyable but geeez fucking abecedarian
So what's the most basic for you? I liked the choice of not giving names to the characters though
It was just a typical fantasy series, overall the whole 'dark' aspect was tired, boring and most importantly, way too simple and if you strip that away you have the most basic mediocre fantasy anime you could imagine.
I don't even watch much dark fantasy of sorts you could say, but this was just a very cheap way of making a dark fantasy world and I feel like I've seen it done better a thousand times already.
It's such a safe anime it's a bit insulting... made me question several times if I was just wasting time or not.
>if you take the magic out of magic girls it's just boring girls
They obviously used as many bait and switch tactics as they could and trying to lure people in thinking it was going to be something it clearly did not end up being, and they really had no idea what the characters or atmosphere really was with the main guy going from being cold and mysterious and potentially 'badass' but then having his whole corny backstory unloaded on you but then topping it off with dumb comedy scenes and him falling down hills and shit. Then they make it seem like it may have a solitary grim feel but oh wait no it isn't, then the atmosphere that anyone can die, but oh wait they can't. It's like there was no big vision or aim in the first place and the creators just wander along with no clue.
it was a meme manga that was taylor-made for reddit
