Where is Studio Pierrot?

That looks comfortable to work at. Not like my Shirobako.

>17. Doga Kobo(77 employees)
>18. Madhouse(70 employees)
>19. Bones(69 employees)
Pretty shocking as these are some of the more talked about studios on Yea Forums.

Attached: 1535050499252.png (1286x1737, 2.06M)

>17、Doga Kobo(77 employees)
>18、Madhouse(70 employees)
>19、Bones(69 employees)
What went wrong?

madhouse and bones had to downsize due to being close to bankruptcy. They are now using 3rd worlder contractors as the majority of their animators.

Shit, I used to have one of these. What where these called again, Yea Forums?

These companies mainly rely on hiring freelancers to make animations.
The formal staff signing the labor contract is very small

Toei Animation 3GCG Department

I have to google Sunrise Beyond. turn out it just XEBEC

Dammit that is a good work environment.

Toei

toei

Attached: toei animation.gif (540x301, 809K)

Why does the Pokemon company have that many? Compared to Toei.

How new is this? feels outdated because Kyoani's 154 seems from long time ago.

Attached: img_works_detail_017_09.jpg (1120x747, 119K)

probably long ago. does ghibli still exist and operate?

But why? They make some great stuff.

>Why does the Pokemon company have that many? Compared to Toei.

OLM do other children anime

These look so nice. I work in such a fucking shithole.

Mainly data on Wiki and Twitter

Quality ≠ Profit

Does Pro I.G include Wit’s animators as well?

>satelight has 100+ employees yet dog shit animation in every show
they should be bankrupt

>2、Studio Ghibli(300 employees)
Kek, FOR WHAT? How are they employees of the studio when the studio makes a single feature film every 5 months? If what they do for 90% of their life is contract work then how are actually employees of a company they barely do shit for.

I'm pretty sure Kyoto has more people right now. They bought a new building and hired after Koe no Katachi.

>1、Toei Animation (645 employees)
>19、Bones(69 employees)
Based.
Remember kids, in-house staff is a meme. Hiring freelancers is the objectively superior choice.

What kind of $5000 chair do I need to role play as a head animator? Is that an Okamura Sabrina?

They should make the low levels use gamer chairs desu

based

>studio makes a single feature film every 5 months?
You do realize it can take years for a single animated film to get made, right?

I actually meant to say years.

Attached: 1552553224208.webm (588x626, 70K)

Money laundering and theft with inflated budgets.
They said that the kaguya movie cost $50 million which is obviously false.

fucking yakkuza hacking the anime industry, no wonder so much goodshit on yakuza

The only advantage of Toei is that employee benefits are the best
I have never heard of a scandal inside Toei.

Attached: 956bef5757211a9ad3bb696b77857e5d.jpg (973x490, 219K)

>The only advantage of Toei is that employee benefits are the best
Or the fact that they are actually allowed work on anime to make them look good.
my.mixtape.moe/yelffv.webm

Toei makes mostly long-running shit so it makes sense to hire many permanent employees that would work on it all the time. Other studios simply hire freelancers for any given anime project so this data is rather meaningless.

>anime
>posts CGI shit
Fuck off.

How did based toei get the rights to winnie the pooh?

Polygon Pictures has ~300 employees.

>15、SynergySP (85 employees)
They're still alive?

tdb.co.jp/report/watching/press/pdf/p180804.pdf

According to TDB, there're 14 anime studios with 100+ staff, so there're 4 missing from the list.

Attached: Capture.jpg (745x676, 42K)

IG, DEEN, Pierrot sound like the obvious ones.

Meant for

Studios that aren't on there I'm wondering about:
P.A. Works
Shaft
Trigger
White Fox
3Hz
Khara

Trigger? More like Nigger!

we all have a fingerbox dude

Ghibli is big but Miyazaki is like quadruple retired and the other two good directors are dead. What the hell are they even making these days?

Trigger saves anime with only a handful of employees

>all those employees and yet everything Toei makes still looks like shit

Source?

>biggest company
>shittiest animation

MAPPA?

>shaft pre-bake
>2 janitors and 1 security guard
>post-bake
>added 1 more security guard

They're in the 100+ range and they also have one of the worst working conditions in the industry. Many animators have called them out for that.

99. Trigger (3.5 employees)

Musashino Animation is a teeny studio to be fair.

They should have catered to smelly otakus more.

Attached: studio shaft 3.jpg (640x480, 57K)

Depending on the year Deen is either a nice office with well-fed people or 3 dudes working out of a cardboard box.

Trigger

Attached: trigger office.png (1000x1312, 1.43M)

I'm pretty interested in stats like this but I can't read Japanese to save my life. Does there happen to be a list showing the most profitable studios?

pa works

For a country with seismic activity, that doesn't feel safe.

Its just Yamada trying to portray herself not as old lonely loser

Should have agreed when yamakan secuharassed her. Now probably regrets it.

kyoani animators look like THAT?!

They are not in Tokyo

imagine gridman with this kind of animation
and people still claim 3DCG is fine lmao

I want to know how many people are wasting their time doing nothing at Khara.

They did Franxx CG

Toei

Attached: img_works_detail_008_01.jpg (1120x746, 182K)

>>Studio Gokumi(9 employees)
They seem to be fairly consistent for a studio that must need tons of freelancers for every project.

So, conclusion - which studio was portrayed in Shirobako? (i mean main studio, not studio Tytanic which was obviously Shaft)

The building and studio owner hint to KyoAni, Kimagi being there as character, but its located in Tokyo story wise and the shows they made are different type. Obvious its no "real" studio but gathering of facts/concepts of others - but still should be one could identify with it.

Actas?

Khara's CGI sucks. It think they're doing the cutscenes of the latest Fire Emblem games, and they look like shit.

Attached: img_works_detail_008_05.jpg (1120x747, 157K)

>Studio Gokumi(9 employees)
This cant be true

Isn't actas so bad at scheduling that they lost money to GuP?

probably kyoani. p.a. works is in love with them.

Attached: pa works kumiko.jpg (794x673, 49K)

>Silver Link(130 employees)
And most of their works still suffer from quality issues.

Except Shirobako is not PA Works, but more Mizushima own show

Wood is excellent for that, it bends and can withstand a lot of beating.
Don't forget that trees never ever skip a leg day, they're tough sonofbitches

Fuck so you're telling me Toei faggots work in that environment and we still need to watch their garbage looking anime?

Toei

Attached: img_works_detail_008_03.jpg (1120x747, 69K)

those offices are reserved for when bernstein funds visit Toei. Most of their animators live in squalor.

So this is the shiny new office Toei moved to in 2018 and suddenly One Piece started looking good.

Seems that a lot of people are not watching kitaro and precure, sad

Attached: CmAUdqZUsAAjkQX.jpg (2048x1536, 375K)

Precure has always been constantly well animated, Kitaro has the occasional well directed episode but it isn't great in the animation department.

nice chairs

what's kubo doing there?

he was trying to get shaft to animate a new bleach season.

Attached: photo_toeianime_07-large.jpg (1440x960, 1.2M)

not anime

Source your ass.

Tattun said that Trigger has like 40 actual employees.

Silly me only decided to become interested in Kitaro 45 episodes into its current airing. I read that it's starting a new arc at the beginning of next season, I can probably jump in there yeah?

With no in-house staff there would be no one to process the animation properly and it would never look that good.

Now i am curious about Shaft

Kitaro just had a string of 3 solo-animated episodes.

Except of course that most of these studios, especially A-1 or Madhouse, hire temporary staff. These numbers give of a wrong impression.

see

Why does japanese anime looks so shitty compared to chinese? Is it because the whole japanese animation industry is like 2-3 thousand peopel max, while in china its dozens already?

MAPPA

Attached: 00.jpg (1200x675, 167K)

Watch the trailer and then with straight face try to claim that WITs Vinland Saga adaptation will be even 1/100 as good looking and well animated

Get one for MADHOUSE. I wanna see if leaving for MAPPA was a good move or not.

Based chinks. Kyoani is finished.

That's what animation directors are for, and they don't need to be studio employees.

Where's Trigger?

SEVEN・ARCS Co.,Ltd. (50 employees)

Nanoha's animation studio

Attached: c89b5e49455b11e48314963aecd2c947.jpg (381x291, 43K)

It's obviously not. I'll give you the reasons why.

1. There's too many males staffs in Shirobako
2. In the anime, the studio employed the help of freelancers.
3. Aoi drive around in and out of the studio to deliver animation keyframes to send to other studios for coloring, rendering, etc.
4. The animator Emma is shown tired and despondent showing signs of unrest and lack of sleep from working. Emma also lives in a small apartment instead of a dorm.
5. There was an image floating around a long time ago showcasing how much income each anime staff makes, and in the image it showed Emma making the least amount of money of them all.
6. The studio took its name from a Tokyo Prefecture.
7. The studio produced 'Jiggly Jiggly Heaven' a show that had a lot issues in production and became notorious on the internet, damaging the reputation of the studio and everybody involved.

There are only X and Y axes there, user. X axis is amount of productions, Y axis is age of studio.

What's that all about?
