It's so stupid because translating scanlation is the worst form of income for someone with translating abilities. You do it for passion, because you love it.
If you want to make money while working with manga, apply for a Viz Media or Kodansha USA. You want to make the big bucks, become an interpreter and connect with Google, Facebook, Goldman Sachs, or any Fortune 500 company.
They desperately need good interpreters.
