if you're an anime-only I can see that you'd think the show is going nowhere. if you had read the manga like so many here did, you'd come to the conclusion that it's a well done adaption and you'd love it

Eh.. it started out pretty funny, but just got worse and worse with each episode. The last bunch of episodes all have been boring and just terrible all around. Just end it already.
