This was such a fun and unique manga. It really didn't deserve to die, even if it was with the entire magazine.

I'd imagine part of it is that the mangaka doesn't seem to have done much. The only other serialized thing he seems to have really done (at least that's on Mangadex) was a chapter in an anthology manga. Still, at least he managed to end it in a pretty damn cool way unlike a lot of manga series that are cut short.

Nah, but without really spoiling anything there's sudden shift to a semi serious tone in the penultimate chapter and the one before it. It's not done in a shitty way like Gal Cleaning though. It's genuinely awesome.

Man, the delinquent with a heart of gold archetype is really nothing new, but Takano just keeps getting better.

Probably because there's more to her character than that, plus even when she's showing her caring side it doesn't feel like there's just some jarring shift in personality since she's still generally strict with her siblings. Shame the manga got cut short. She's already got a fairly fleshed out character and I'd imagine if the series hadn't died her character could have been explored more. Hell, same goes for most of the characters
