We need more exposition on the Kamados, there's no way they're just regular people with Tanjiro's father being that strong.

The Kamado family line probably does the dance of the fire god as a form of thanks to Kokushibou (upper moon 1) saving their lives so many years ago. They aren't swordsman, but the dance of the fire god is essentially the sun breath.

Basically, I think because each generation of the Kamado family tree performed the dance, Tanjirou is able to utilize the sun breath because it has been pretty much instilled in his mind almost as if it was an instinct.

to clarify, Tanjirou learned the dance just by watching his father do it, but all the movements and technique behind performing the breath has been implanted in his mind by instinct.

Each generation has slowly been mastering the breath in the form of a dance, with each generation fine-tuning how the breath if performed. Tanjirou is able to perform it due to his ancestors' hard work in trying to perfect the dance of the fire god

I'm almost certain that there's nothing special about the Kamados. Maybe an ancestor was taught them Dance of the Fire God, and from their they perfected it on their own over the generations, learning how to Full Focus Breathing as an accident through tradition. Taking down a bear isn't all that great an accomplishment if you know Full Focus Breathing to be honest.

All it means is they are not genetically special but that they just passed along the traditions most closely (though not necessarily aware of what they were passing on).

Also, at the end of the day the most unique member of their family has always been Nezuko and for completely different reasons then the rest and that seems to be tied to the lily or whatever.

I dunno, they talked about how a flame birthmark was apparently a common feature of fire god breath lineage. Birthmark implying it appears on their descendants.

If you knew your family was the target of a supernatural enemy that was effectively immortal. Covering up or removing such an obvious symbol of their lineage seems like the logical thing to do.

There is a rumor that the anime will have 24 episodes, and it will be slip cour like every Ufotable's anime. I really doubt WSJ editor will let Wani finished the manga before the anime end. So expect at least 40+ chapters. It's insane to have this arc run for 40+ chapters. That's would be too long. But again we have no idea because Wani is full of unexpected.

If your publisher says you're on your final arc I think the publisher has more to say about the matter than you do.

Is it really, though? We've got 4 major antagonists left after this fight, and I expect all of them to take a decent amount of time to fight. Of course editor-san can always go "Wani-sensei, you're not really serious about ending the series now, are you? Let's have it go a little longer..."

Final Arcs can be long as fuck though. Remember Bleach even being cancelled in the middle of it had over 100 chapters of final arc.

In the same way that Tanjirou has had the breath of the sun instilled into him by the Kagura dance, I am sure Nezuko instinctively knows it as well.
I think what may be special about them is just that they are all very kind. Kimetsu seems to have some Buddhist themes going on and enlightenment goes hand in hand with compassion. The whole focusing on breath thing that Tanjirou was talking about seems to be similar to meditation practice as well.

Jump also said Gintama was in its final arc when it wasn’t.

The author really needs to understand story sequencing. The way she just retcons in flashbacks as a way for explaining some special technique or move and has the typical "put in flashback before people die to get one last bit of sympathy" is just a really poor form of storytelling.

Dad flashback has only happened twice and in all cases it is mc thinking things through, literally using past experiences. Not sure why it bothers you so much. In any case nobody has suggested Kimetsu is perfect.

The mid-battle stuff is probably excessive, but it basically comes with the genre. The death flashbacks are pretty much the point of the series though, fuck that complaint

Dropping the spaghetti on flashbacks instead of natural gradual developments just makes the delivery rushed. Tanjiro already had multiple flashbacks to the point where it's practically retconned in so he can succeed. Happened with Zenitsu instead of focusing on techniques when Tanjirou was recuperating.

He's remembering his past to think up new techniques to try, he's not literally raising his power level through flashbacks and he's not incorporating any stupid logic of if you die or almost die you get stronger. What he's doing is in fact the most realistic way someone would power-up in unexpected situations. Also, the previous dad flashback literally did nothing for him in that fight, he would have died in the very attack he made after the flashback if Nezuko didn't intervene and Tomioka had to step in to save him and kill Rui right after.
