Why Ajin is so underrated?
Ajin
Because it's fucking dead and it got a shitty adaptation.
it gets the praise it deserves and no more
ajin adaptation > bersek adaptation
Let's see:
>anime being 3dcg turns people off
>no simulcast killed the hype
>confounding release format killed the hype even more. The first episode of the tv anime aired at the same time with the release of the movie's bd which is literally the abridged version of the first 6 episodes of the tv version
>official scanlation makes it goes under everyone's radar
>nagai is unrelatable
>all the characters are unlikable
>"immortal human with faceless mummified stand" is not much cool and edgy
>lack of female characters
>no romance subplot
>no superpower whatsoever, even the most supernatural being in Ajin, the IBM, only fights using CQC
>no powerlevels
desu, ajin is just not really that interesting, everthing feels like a cheap summer action blockbuster movies. I still like it tho.
are you female or trans?
It's still shit.
aijin it's watchable
Because it only really starts like a volume in, when they kicked out the former writer and let the other guy do his thing.
censored 9/11
the manga became shit after that 9/11 as well.
>nagai is unrelatable
Why? Because he's not an edgy teenager trying to save everyone and actually tries to do what is best for him?
>all the characters are unlikable
Arguable.
>it's dead
>despite the manga still being ongoing
>Why? Because he's not an edgy teenager trying to save everyone and actually tries to do what is best for him?
To put it simply, he's kinda douchebag, like Subaru but actually competent and less annoying.
Don't expect any logic for that retard. He's probably salesfag/stalkershitter.
because it's actually good and has no cliches
Unfortunate too, cause the antag is based as fuck
Ow the bait
When the fuck is the next chapter, I just caught up and I'm loving this shit.
>when they kicked out the former writer and let the other guy do his thing.
is that why the MCs personality did a 180 after the first volume?
Yes. The entire series does a 180 after the first volume.
And the annoying guy gets written out for a while, yeah
that might be why most people have trouble getting into it, feels kind of convoluted from a narrative standpoint.
Eh, I think the switch worked fine. You basically go "oh thank fucking god they stopped whining" and the MC is like "yeah fuck emotions"
It helps that the "new" MC is fucking great.
Satou is the real MC anyways
this, satou is the stealth protag and did literally nothing wrong
>no romance subplot
romance ruins everything
Nagai is just boring. I read the manga for a while, and I can't remember a single instance where he was actually really happy or sad. People don't empathize with that. And in this case we empathize even less, because there's no real danger of him getting hurt. After anything bad happens the people we mostly feel sorry for are the background extras who happen to get caught up in his shit.
Also the villain guy (can't remember his name) is boring. For one, he looks for the most part like every other character in the series. He has no real personality besides "I smug and kill people". He's absolutely forgettable.
The world building is non existent, and I really didn't care about what was going on.
A chapter usually comes out around the 5th of every month. Danke haven't been ripping the scans reliably every month though.
>lack of female characters
A CUTE
Who cares when there's Satou.
Bet you love this kind of character here.
