Last week's HnK thread was pretty comfy until the autism train came chugging in. Let's get back on track with some slicing and dicing!

Of course, no thread would be complete without some thinly veiled homoeroticism
...or questionable decisions
>thinly veiled homoeroticism
it's true friendship and comradery you fag.
>posts Rei
>dead thread
Next time you want (You)'s, remember to post best boy.
I rarely miss a Fist of the North Star thread, but I don't remember this.
What was the autism about?
>The way his face darkens up at the end
C'mon Rei, they may be brats but they ain't that bad
and Bat can do a mean harmonica tune
you don't want to know trust me. Some user(s) shattered my love for HnK.
I don't know if OP is referring to this but the last long HnK thread I was in had like 100 posts about Yuria with almost no discussion for half of it and mindless arguing.
I forgot how great this chapter was.
Problem is, there ain't too much to discuss besides
>Hey, HnK is great
>Yeah, it fucking is
I think there are quite a few things that can be discussed, but I don't think it really warrants weekly threads
nhk 2 was a mistake, i like it for its campiness and absurdity, but it's genuinely not good
Tough Boy is honestly the only good thing about Hnk2.
while I think it's weaker than the first part, I still enjoyed HnK2, and think it had a lot of good scenes and moments
Tough Boy is fucking badass
Wish it had BD's.
i love the ending, the volcano suicide is fucking insane and then kenshiro reflecting on his journey as credits roll and the "farewell, kenshiro" title card at the end. kino, that's how nhk1 should've ended
>How nhk1 should've ended
Oh fuck now I'm imagining the ending of Welcome to the NHK being them jumping into a Volcano rather than the sea and I can't stop laughing
Would have made it better desu. If he had manly role models like kenshiro his life would be better.
Or infinitely worse but one of those two at the very least.
I liked notFreddie.
You mean Raoh knocking up Yuria?
>if hokuto shinken falls into the wrong hands it will destroy the world. That's why there's only one successor
>jagi was kept in and taught hokuto shinken despite always being at least a jackass
literally why
Falco was cool, even if the arc he was stuck in was dumb as hell
the premise of the general shitters in Ashura being absurdly strong was interesting, but for the fact that this is forgotten about immediately after that one guy wrecks Falco
knockoff pirate Rei was likeable because anything related to Rei is fucking great
>O MY KENTO SHADAN
>O MY HOKUTO SOKE STATUE
Defend this
>Hokuto no Asspull
>defend
I-I can't.
HnK 2 was amazing in that whenever I tried to joke about what would happen next, it actually happened. I joked that the swamp sage was a retcon wizard, and then an episode later he revealed that he literally changed/retconned Hyoh's memory. I joked that after the gravity Kung Fu there would be literal magic, and then Black Yaksha does actual fucking magic complete with runes.
Also, there was one scene in the swamp sage's flashback of killing everywhere where some random skull with smoke tendrils drifted across the sky and it looked completely out of place. Does anyone have a clip of that?
The French dub is still the best thing ever.

These vids have English subtitles, so you can enjoy this work of art. It's like an abridged series, except it's the official dub.
is HNK worth watching after raoh arc ends? it feels like not only peak HNK but peak anime.
>2:41
>raaaaa!
>qua?
Sakre bleu
Not even season 1 is worth watching, same goes for s2.
Just read the manga, trust me on this one. You'll spare yourself a lot of stress. When you're done, then dig in the animes for some laughs.
>When you're done, then dig in the animes for some laughs.
i did up to raoh, thats why i was asking. seems kind of shit with bat and lin grown up to be honest. the 80s anime was pure kino, especially the soundtrack.
Chapters after Raoh are kinda stereotypical, and I personally didn't enjoy the Falco part. But there's some pretty fun shit when they finally reach the Shura land, one of the most rigid and merciless depictions of despotism. It's badass and extremely iconic, inspired dozens of shit so far, especially Mortal Kombat for one. It's only garbage in it's asspull auto-win endings but I'd still recommend it.
Also, you'll learn where Araki stole the "It was I, Dio!" trope. Enjoy finding out.
After that the chapters with the kid and those aren't bad either, but they where never animated. Yes it's worth it, go for it.
Quit watching it after the final battle with Raoh. HnK 2 was mandated by Shonen Jump and the writing quality dissipates into the ether.
french mamiya sounds like a semen demon
