Just looking at Netflix's dubbing, they use the same group of people every time for their in-house dubbing group. Devilman Crybaby, which was one of their big projects, featured nobody of note. It is no different than what people accused ADV films, Ocean, Bang Zoom, or anybody else from doing.

So, yeah, nothing has changed. The only difference is that with anime being more mainstream now, they might put more effort into it. Of course, you also had FUNimation and it's little faux pas with the GAMERGATE and patriarchy jokes. So yeah, it's "better" now.

Considering how much money they (allegedly from FUNimation's CEO) spent to acquire Eva, it is a little weird they're not blasting more money on acting talent. But, nope, they're just using a dubbing unit nobody has heard of before and the only anime they have done are Netflix dubs (Aggretsuko, HisoMaso, Gokudols, etc) and they're a London based unit. Yep, Netflix is using Limeys for the Eva dub. But hey! They're a Netflix preferred vendor!

As for Tif, as a personal friend of hers, you can eat me. On the other hand, she's very proud of her work because for many people, the ADV dub was pretty fucking good outside of a rough couple of first episodes due to some really shitty ADR script translations which plague the thing tot his day. It is for this reason I don't mind a re-dub of Eva, but not using the original actors that 90% of your audience who want English language stuff know as the actors seems like a really silly idea.

Fun fact, btw, Tif is the godmother to Yuko Miyamura's children, because the two of them became great friends through their shared love of their role as Asuka and mutual respect for each other's work.
