Trailer shows the Witch of Greed, Echidona. This is in the sequence when Subaru goes into the Witches Tomb, (aka the sanctuary where Roswaal and Ram are hiding out) and gets to meet all the Witches (and yes, each witch has their own Witch Cult).
Before this we will learn the Sin Archbishop of Gluttony has erased Rem's memory and her memory from everyone else (sans Subraru and Beatty) (remember the when they got the blank letter? it becomes important later)
Throughout this entire arc, Rem will only be seen in her coma and does not wake up until around season 4 after the Sin Archbishop of Gluttony is defeated by Subaru.
The Sanctuary has a barrier that prevents half bloods (like Emilia) from leaving it, but only after passing a trial in the Witches Tomb, which we see Subaru attempting to take in the trailer.
most of this can be uncovered in the LN, but expect Season 2 to cover most, but not all of Arc 4

The web novel had some problems in that it had long chapters where nothing except set up happened, which wasn't very friendly to an anime adaptation so Tappei cut out most of what he could without sacrificing the Emilia scenes because she was too precious for him.
This means we get shit like magic teleporting rock that teleports subaru directly to every single plot point to speed shit up instead of having him get bits of information that he eventually puts together to discover shit himself.
