I think the themes are consistent. There are just two sets, the story stuff that ends with him acting, and the continue living which continues to the end but isn't as present in the front end. You can argue the begining is a touch disconnected from the two main through lines.
The ending is everything man what have you been smoking? It's a little out there but it is very much about true love winning out in the end. Which while a strange pay off is a pay off to a set up at the begining.

user, before calling me a brainlet, think about how the main character actually died the moment he lost his personality and memmories and everything afterwards is completely unrelated to him and his character development. The same goes for the magical girl. The revitalized world means nothing because it dies later. The main character's chance for a good life means nothing because it's not him anymore, and the lovey-dovey ending means nothing, because none of the two people left in the end actually have their personalities or memories. Both of their arcs ended long before that. So keep your insults to yourself for a while, will you?

The whole point to be blunt is that they are in a dying world. It's nhilistic in nature. They are going to die, and past everything he continues to live through the desire and love expressed by others.
His sister, togata, Judah - Lunah, that's the cycle. The arcs continued logically too, just cause they changed characters didn't really matter. The villian died, San won and lived a strange happily ever after, and a movie was made. You have a poor understanding of the text.

Let's talk about the theme of identity. He had so many identities that he was defined by that it was clearly established to be toxic, contradictory, convoluted and damaged.

Let me give you an example of a great pay off.
His sister told him to live. They had an intimate relationship and a set up was built early on for 'something'. This was repeated again. But this time before telling him to 'live' she killed him and he was born as a new man. This is a perfect cyclical example of a resolution in that specific arc of the story, and it's a nice emotional resolution. His identity was killed and he continued living. In a dying world, which she chose to save so he could continue to live happily. The world is always hurling towards oblivion. It's far more nhilistic than berserk or even helck. The universe always dies, and the world ends, that's always the set up.
This also a lesson to people that someone that feels a certain way can't change their arguments. You references are as sparse as dogshit spread across a shoe. You demonstrate almost nothing, and you assert your opinions as fact without referencing them back to anything.

The world is not nihilistic, it's pre-apocaliptic and dystopian. "Nihilism" is not even a word you can use to describe a world, because nihilism itself is a description of the way you interpret something. And the whole story isn't nihilistic as well, 'because of how much it focuses on different meanings of life and even gives us a bunch of "feel good" moments in the end. It's just incoherent in it's exploration of those meanings which leads the reader to a nihilistic conclusion that it all didn't matter in the end. Again, that's not a characteristic of the world (the world doesn't interpret anyting) or the writing (because of all the "feel good" moments), it's a a result of a badly executed ending.

That's not at all the take away. That's the main conflict driver. The ending shows that true love triumpths over, time space and even identities. Love passed on like a torch fed the earth for millenia and then faded away. And still it never died. And yet still the universe died and they were just specks at that crucial moment in a great darkness. It's a fatalistic story if you prefer. The world always ends. And to many in the narrative the struggle is hopeless, meaningless which by many definitions would be nhilism but I suppose not for you? The focus, the direct frame the author uses to frame the world, as it comes to it's end is nhilistic. Humans are tiny specks struggling against an endless cold, or against the heat death of the universe. It's a cosmic scale, with humans at the center with all their struggles trivialized and humanized.

The author's and the pov characters which struggle along these frame works of seeing the world. Judah want's's to die and just let it end because there is no meaning to life it was all fake rotten, so does agni, for the most part. His revenge quest is proven time and time again to be facetious meaningless and at times he admits it himself. In the end all he cares about, after all the fire punch stuff is being with judah who he is fully aware of is not related to him at all.

This world will always go cold. Their experiences only matter to them. Their values too. The reality of the pov characters if often described as incoherent.
There is a conflict against a meaingless cold at the heart of the story. Which ends with the pursuit of transcendental love.
Love conquered, a meaningless existence. They died in a dark world, an empty world, a world with nothing but their love driving them. Then they died, only when their true love was fufilled. The movie theatre wasn't even heaven, it was just what a character thought it would be, so it was another part of the unreliable narration and framing of the universe and world. It was a socially constructed artificially place without intrinsic meaning.

No, what I mean is that there's so many logical breaks between how the main character acts and how he's characterized that it's hard to even understand why he's doing shit. The story basically ends after he refuses to kill Doma, but then the author just decides "Yeah nah though let's just make that happen anyway", takes all his free will away from him, radically changes the entire story into something else entirely, and midwits like you act like this is good writing.
Fire Punch is the definition of midwit appeal. It captures the general feeling of depth and meaning without actually having those things because it's not internally or externally consistent enough to. If you think it's god tier 10/10 I guarantee you haven't actually read watched, or otherwise experienced the things its ripping off that do its themes far better.
