Frieza was the strongest organic being in U7 and a genetic freakshow in his own species so a 1 in million chance of existing yet he is a bug to Cell a gene engineered being who is a bug to Buu a mystic entity. As we can see you need science, divinity, or an extradimensional existence to explain powers higher than Frieza. Each race has a genetic peak as born power not trained power. Humans are crap not one was born with strength on par with Old King Piccolo. Saiyans seem to be around Captain Ginyu in genetic peak. Nameks are possibly able to be born as powerful as Frieza or even higher due to the nameless Namek. Thats nice but can a genetic peak be Jiren level. The answer is fuck no because god of destruction tier is so high it would take Goku trillions of years to reach it by training and Angel tier is completely impossible to reach even if you are a GoD who trains.

Swap obnoxious Pan with Goten and have her be the irrelevant date-crazy character who's always on the phone. Then you give Trunks a pair of pants and make him a cool badass again instead of a bland 3rd wheel. Next you take all the characters who have nothing to do with the narrative and make them shine by developing them prioperly and giving them more screen time.. It wont fix all of GT's shitty problems but it's a start.

Despite these, it gave us SSJ4. Compared to the recolors we're getting in Super, monkey man at least stands out and feels like an actual upgrade to the Super Saiyan line. Bonuses for the fact that it a) ties-in with the whole Saiyan thing with Goku and Vegeta and b) also is a nod to Sun-Wukong The Monkey King. In the very first chapter Toriyama colored Bulma's hair turquoise but completely scraped it later, then during the whole manga and the next years her hair was purple, however Toriyama is senile as fuck and sometimes he forgets his original colors and adopts the most popular ones (like making Trunks' sword grey when all his swords were golden before) so he ended up making Bulma hair blue (not turquoise, just plain blue) for Super.
The only rule is that Gotenks, Trunks, Bra and Bulma ALWAYS have the same hair color, the "most canon" options are either purple/indigo (for the original manga) or blue (for Super) so depending what you pick Gotenks' hair would change too.

Something that has always really bothered me about Super is how it handles establishing villians for the series' newer power scaling.
When it was introduced that Goku and Vegeta were becoming as strong as essencially Gods, I really looked forward to villians that were more complex than "they are strong because they are natural prodigies". Almost every villian in Zs strength just comes from them being created inhumanly strong.

Hit jobs to SSG, Black/Zamasu is a threat because pink SSGSS and godly magic, Toppo explicitly has God ki when introduced and beats Goku in their first match, and Jiren himself was trained by Belmod's friend from before he was a GoD. When Goku is describing Moro's ki to Vegeta, Vegeta briefly ponders fearfully if he was sensing godly ki.

Her clothes are torn off. She's told how disgusting she is, how revolting her physical appearance is and that nobody would ever want her for a mate. She says that it isn't true. If she wasn't so weak then she wouldn't be in this situation. She protests but the truth of the words can't help but resonate.
She's flipped over. She feels something pressing against her asshole. Summoning what little strength she has left, she tries to clench. It doesn't work. She's violated in the most horrific manner without consideration or care. Blood leaks from the new wound. She squeals and squirms and cries and pleads but it falls on deaf ears.
She's never experienced anything like this before in her life. The pain is unbearable and the humiliation gargantuan. She's told that it's the only thing she's good for. She's a failure and without this, she might as well be dead. She feels like death would be better than this. She doesn't get her wish. Only a warm feeling inside her ass followed by more pain.
She's yanked up by the roots of her hair and slapped repeatedly. The sting burns as much as the tears.

Toriyama mentioned in an interview right around the debut of Battle of Gods that Goku had absorbed the power of Super Saiyan God to his base and wouldn't need transformations anymore aside from basic SSJ. He even said we might never see SS2 and 3 again. However, the movie itself was never as clear as that. Goku absorbed -part- of the power of Super Saiyan God and power ups his base and SS forms from that, but it's never outright said he's just as strong as a Super Saiyan God and he even power ups into it again at the end of the movie briefly.
Bandai ran with Toriyama's interview quote though, marketing the RoF versions of the characters as "Saiyan Beyond God", which were even stronger than Super Saiyan God while in base. The Revival F movie itself once again had no clear quotes indicating that base = SSJ God, just that Base was very strong now.
Eventually though, with the Dragonball Super manga, followed by the anime later, it was confirmed that Saiyan Beyond God didn't really exist and that Super Saiyan God still was a transformation available for Goku and Vegeta.
