>What did other anons think of it? I got spoiled back when I read it it was really nice, it felt really rushed at first but looking back to it the ending couldn't be handled otherwise.
I still hope for an SSR movie

that would be pretty great. Although I don't know how they would handle the pacing. Maybe they could focus on some untold time between the start and end. It would be interesting though.

I like shimeji better. Also tkmiz illustrations are better than his manga.
What about shimeji is better, other than the drawings which I assumed he improved upon? Haven't heard of the series so you'll have to fill me in on what it is about.
Carter Ramirez
>What about shimeji is better, other than the drawings That's about it. No idea what it's actually about as there are only 2 chapters out and it updates once a month.
well I guess we'll just have to wait. However, I'm glad the artist is improving because I really like his style.

damn, nice collection then. The guns antique or do actually go out shooting with them?
Christian Cox
I only haven't fired two of my weapons, that is the 1892 French revolver and my Type 38. I'm really lazy and I haven't gotten around to making bullets for either of them yet, though I do have the equipment to do so.
You have a workshop for bullet making? Never seen the process before. What's the reason you make them rather than buy them? Can you post pics of your workbench?
Jonathan Johnson
Most calibers circa 1892 were proprietary as all hell, and ballistically inefficient.
Not much market anymore, unless it's a relic like .45-70 or 6.5 Carcano. Hence reloading.
interesting, I assume you browse /k/. Right? Can you please post photos of the equipment you use to make bullets, this stuff seems like a really cool hobby.
Matthew Williams
Most of my rifle's ammo can get pretty expensive, especially the 6.5 Jap, which I think is a 1.20 a shot, or in the case of my 1892, that ammo can be pretty hard to come by. As for the process, I can't explain it much, since I'm no expert on it, but the basic idea is assembling powder, bullet, casing, primer, in a manner that won't blow you up. My workbench is hardly anything of note, this piece of equipment is used for sizing the shell case, extracting used primers, and ramming in bullets. If you want to know more, you'd be better off asking someone who really knows about this stuff. Please don't shoot my doggo.
Just finished the anime a few min ago, I really loved it. Gonna read the manga now, is there any kind of actual resolution in the ending to it or does it just kinda trail off into the sunset?
Luis Nelson
>I thought you were joking about the nomenclature of .38 special.
I was; .38 special is barely adequate for use against squirrels, so what would possess you to claim it's fit for use against bears?!
Kayden Watson
are you seriously asking us to tell you the ending before you read it?
good point, it was a retarded question. Gonna read it anyways.
Jace Cox
no one said .38spc is appropriate for bears, the assertion was that most service revolvers were .38spc, which is an interesting point in and of itself because the most recognizable military service revolvers (the various marks of Webley and the M1917 US) are in .455 Webley and .45ACP respectively and the French and Germans also had their own homegrown cartridges in 8mm and 10mm respectively.
i think it'd be more appropriate to say that most US police service revolvers were .38spc, because until wonder9s took over PDs that was pretty much the case.
pic not-really-related, the last "service" revolver still in common use (by GIGN), a .357MAG
They were procured as a supplement to the 1911 because the Ordnance Board had a very rare moment of clarity where they realized there weren't NEARLY enough handguns to go around when the AEF set off for Europe in 1917 (hence the name), and needlessly complicating your logistics for absolutely no reason is very, very dumb, so it was ordered in the same cartridge as the standard issue handgun.
I didn't know Japanese PCs carried revolvers, that's p. cool. Kinda adds to their aesthetic as public servants instead of the jackbooted enforcer look US police go for.
As for some relatively limited use in 'Nam as a backup gun and a piece for tunnel rats, how many of those were issued as a "service weapon" and how many were privately procured? And some use by zero-budget police services in literal impoverished craphole failing states (excluding the Japanese from that characterization ofc), I personally see that as the exception that proves the rule. Tons of US cops carry .38s as backup units, but that doesn't make them service weapons. Russian railroad police still have Nagant revolvers around as well, but I hardly think that makes them "common service weapons", you know?
I don't watch a lot of "set in contemporary times" anime, it's escapism for me so why would I want to "escape" into a setting that isn't really all that different from the one I'm already living in?
Well not exactly, I just happened to come across this one. But I can be summoned at the mention of Yuuri. That is, if someone types "Yuuri" there's a chance I will show up.
Negatory, I don't bring my CB-speak to Yea Forums. Bear means bear.
Blake Sanders
Then what did you mean by ?

Just finished the manga. Damn. I was really hoping it wouldn't be like this. In a certain sense I think everyone probably expected it given the name of this manga, but I just kept on hoping that it wouldn't be so. I teared up during the staircase chapter when Yuu asked "Chi-Chan, are you afraid of dying?" "Yes." "Me too." They'd talked about death before a lot, but at that point there was just such an absolute sense of finality. desu, I just full on started crying when they started their snowball fight. I can't really say that I've felt much of anything in a very long time, but there was just something so beautiful and sad about it that I was really just overcome.
What a good manga.
Leo Evans
maybe a bit of an exaggeration, but look at Japanese police in riot/civil disorder situations vs American police. Jap cops look like....riot police. Sure they're dressed in black and swinging truncheons and tear gas but that's well within what you'd expect from law enforcement in a riot.
US cops take the opportunity to LARP as oper8rs, ride around in Bearcats or MRAPS and flag the mob with tricked-out shorty ARs. It's not unheard of for bigger PDs to have better equipment than line infantry bats nowadays.
I get the guys serving especially high-risk warrants or hostage rescue/CT/other special mission units having this equipment, but handing this shit out to riot cops to me is just escalating an already tenuous situation.
I'm not even really digging at cops with this, personally I blame the people who decided cracking a few skulls with a nightstick is somehow more controversial than mass-deployment of what could rightfully called paramilitary units to demonstrations.
that bears are fucking big, their bones and hides are very tough, and that .38spc is laughably ineffective against them and you'd be a retard to trust one to defend yourself against a bear, esp. since the very few situations that actually lead to bear attacks involve the bear being SUPER PISSED and hyped on bear-adrenaline.
Either that or you're just dense as a harem protagonist.
Connor Campbell
the north hollywood shootout guys had a norinco AK and some 5.56mm H&K model.
Matthew Rodriguez
I stand corrected.

thanks for the torrent, user. I thought the ending was sad and beautiful all at the same time. I imagined youtube.com/watch?v=7ybhLXebppU playing as I read the last chapter, and I'm not ashamed to admit that I cried
