It seemed that way in the beginning, but the anniversary event 6 months ago revealed that it takes place in an alternate universe that took a weird turn. Madokami can't intervene and fulfill her wish in it because [literally no good reason], so she is forced to either destroy it or leave it be.
Yet in this recent event, she intervenes and pulls a deus ex machina and heals and powers up the megucas to fight walnut. The writers are having their cake and eating it too.
Magireco has a multitude of problems, but Madokami is just a minor one.
They don't give a reason.
It doesn't make sense at all. It's ridden with plotholes.

These threads have been bad for a long time thanks to three-letter madman. Reco can only make it better.

I'll wait for the story to be translated before making a judgment.

Rebellion is a perfect sequel to the series. It's Madoka but more ambitious, and it delivered on that ambition.
Magireco is a spin off.

In 1.5 Years Walpurgis has been in a bunch of other games but she finally made it to MagiReco.

Right now there's a raid event going on to bring down this Big Girl. The name is Last Magia and I can see why.

This really feels off to me. Madoka and Rebellion both had bittersweet endings. There was no clear-cut happy ending to either. In the original series Madoka saved all the magical girls, at the cost of her own existence and denying Homura her wish. In Rebellion Homura saved Madoka at the cost of undoing Madoka's wish and sacrificing her own happiness for Madoka's sake. Neither was a perfect sunshine and roses happy ending, which is pretty much a hallmark of Madoka. There is no hope without despair, and no despair without hope. And yet here in MagiReco they defeat Walpurgis and win. Nothing has been lost, no great sacrifices have been made, there is zero downside to the ending. it feels like the ending to something like Sailor Moon or Cardcaptor Sakura, a more traditional Mahou Shoujo series. Not an ending to a Madoka series.
