Why was it called "Bleach"?
Why was it called "Bleach"?
>Non-moon rune titles = big ¥¥¥
See also: Neon Genesis Evangelion, Berserk, Blame (Couldnt even spell Blam right)
kubo is a big nirvana fan
its what you need to drink in order to get the taste of the filler arcs out of your mouth.
Unironically better than most of cannon opponents.
Ulquiorra was so soulless and boring holy shit.
Then why was he so popular among the fans?
Hollow are usually black creatures(mot skinned but literally black), and shinigami must turn them into plus which are white colored hence the name bleach because the shinigami are bleaching the hollows.
>complaining because the anthropomorphic representation of nihilism is soulless and boring
Are you unironically retarded?
on top of that, black/white contrast is constantly referenced.
Ichigos hair is a bright color despite living in japan who mostly have black hair, just like Rukia.
Ichigos lastname starts with Kuro(Black) Byakuya, ichigos main villain in the first huge arc, has Byaku(White)
The Shinigami clothes are black/white
Ichigos white hollow mask gets more and mroe black lines(in the manga) the more the hollow gets control.
When Ichigo receives his most powerful powerup, his hair turned black.
Ichigos hollow side is represented by a black/white version of himself, with inverted lightness(dark becomes light etc.)
Ichigos and most other heroes in later arcs the shinigamis uniform are black, quincies, the last villains of the series, uniforms are white.
etc.
and bleaching is turning something dark into something light
The final villains also have white colored clothing as well.
Paying attention to the character art, subtext, symbolism, I think I detect a reference to "bleach" as something that erases, so new meaning can be drawn. I think Kubo was chasing purity in his character art and themes regardless of the story by starting from "white", or no idea
>Monsters invade our world
It's Breach
women with rape fantasies
aka women
>muh nihilism
dude, you're reading a fucking shonen. ulquiorra was nothing more than an edgelord
>thinks he's smart
>doesn't realize that a soulless representation of a soulless being is still boring
you'll get that big brain you've always wanted someday user. Maybe when you hit 18+
cause shinigami's clean souls with their swords, sending them to the afterlife.
And bleach is used to clean
The entire point of Ulquiorra was being boring and dry.
He was well executed, it's not Kubo's fault that you fags hate the archetype.
I liked ulquiorra, just not your presumptuous description where you boiled him down to an essence that you thought you somehow had an intellectual monopoly over
Maybe you should actually read Bleach before posting stupid comments.
>ulquiorra was boring/soulless/just an edgelord
>I liked ulquiorra
Nice backpedal
Two reasons:
1- He wanted to call it the opposite of black but he felt "white" didn't have a good ring to it, so he chose bleach instead.
2- Tite is a big fan of Nirvana and their first album is called Bleach.
I didn't backpedal, I just extrapolated his interpretation. I never said I agreed with it.
Really wish he got those extra chapters to conclude the series the way he wanted to.
Probably has some philosophical meaning for Kubo
Shinigamis are black, hollow, quincy, etc are white. So the fights with sword slashes is like one color bleaching the other.
It's actually because the lead just bleaches his hair.
Yeah that would have been sweet
Ichigo´s hair is natural
>retards didn't post the actual reason
"Bleach was first conceived from Tite Kubo's desire to draw a Shinigami (Soul Reaper) in a kimono, which formed the basis for the design of the Soul Reapers in the series. At first, Kubo thought that the Soul Reapers should use guns, so the first title for the series was "Snipe" (as in "sniper"); however, this was changed with the inclusion of swords. After that, the series was meant to be named "Black" due to the color of the Soul Reapers' clothes, but Kubo thought the title was too generic. He later tried the name of "White," but came to like "Bleach" more for its association with the color white and that he did not find it too obvious."
Better pairing than IchiHime
>It's supposed to be boring
I guess we're supposed to hate it
This was my shit when it was airing on Adult Swim in the 2000s
I mean I liked the build in that last arc. But some of those fights glided by. And the big final fight was weak. Final two chapters were alright but I wish he got even 50 more chapters just to make that final fight huge, wrapped up some questions (like what happened to Uribara and others) and expand on that last time skip more than just quickly wrapping things up and leaving off on a shocked expression.
I know there's light novels but I have no idea what they're about nor do I care if Kubo isn't writing them.
Kubo ghost wrote them through Narita. Urahara and co. are alive
What does Kubo do now? Does he work another nanga? Does he even hace to work another day in his life?
i dont know anything about bleach is it good?
read it and decide yourself
it's what he's looking for so he can kill himself along with trite cube
Healing properties
This
It's not, it's almost as bad as naruto
I'm drinkin bleach on the beach, make my teeth white
The darkness is too dark, so I need light
All white armor, looks like daylight
Put the blade to your throat if you don't need life
