The worldbuilding in bnha is UTTER SHIT that's being made up as it goes along which makes these new groups of villains feel like filler as they seem to pop out of nowhere into sudden relevancy because of how little we know about the world AND HOW LITTLE THEY MATTERED before.

We don't even know how hero society was formed exactly. All we know is apparently there were too many people running around who used their newly found powers to do bad things so some other people stepped up and took matters into their hands. Then TA - DA!! that's how hero society came into being like wtf?? There's way too many things skipped there for the series to act like this is some sort of logical progression of things, very POOR EXECUTION in worldbuilding.

It doesn't even make sense because if you're saying that the situation was solved as a result of people taking matters into their hands instead of relying on the gov't then hero society is like the EXACT opposite of that. So how the fuck does that work and how the fuck can they even enforce the "you can't use your quirk" thing or even know what exact quirk people have if they just lie about it?

Gentle Fight and Pro Hero arc are some of the best stuff Horikoshi ever put out. I can't say its gotten worse because of that. 1a vs 1b ended up being to long and to meh, but was filled with some great moments.

Absolutely not, this series has highs and lows, but which series doesn't? The most recent chapters have been gold, and the training arc´s only real problems compared to other arcs was that it was a slow pissing contest instead of a fast one. Sure, we'll probably have another dip after this or maybe during this, but we'll sure as hell have more highs too. I also wouldn't say most of the stuff after this has been worse than some of the stuff before the yakuza arc, I mean the teacher battles and the license exams where partly a bad.

the most recent chapters have been of the best when compared with recent arcs. i've never been more hyped than now and Hori is handling everything well.

Current arc looks good so far and pro hero is probably top 3 arcs in the manga so far, its just that the downtime where nothing happens is too fucking long and those arcs are so boring and bland

it's not getting worse, but it's getting "swingy." Post-Kamino the lows are getting lower and the highs are getting higher, but as a whole the series is about as good

I feel like the 1A vs 1B was stretched out for a couple of reasons:

I would say there was a change in tone of the series with the defeat of AfO and the retirement of All Might. Now things are in transition, and there's more villains and challenges appearing, more danger, more reliance on each other, faster development... People who wanted things to stay the same as before will naturally insist they are deteriorating. I see the same highs and lows as before.

Before this arc we had no idea the power caling within the class, Shishida, Juzo, Kuroiro, Nirengeki and Kinoko have all now been really established as new heavy hitters

Of course it has been getting worse. Since the All Might vs AFO things are getting progressively worse. Mind you it's not like it was good before, so getting worse than it already was really is an achieviment. Since the AFO fight we had the stupid Yakuza arc and all the bad shit that happened there (5 minutes quirkless, backpack loli, jobzawa, Hori preteding that the LOV somehow contributed in the downfall of the yakuza or that the LOV is better because Shiggy attacked a handcuffed Overhaul etc) We have Hori constantly telling us that things are worse than they were before All Might's retirement, yet he doesn't show us. We had the Gentle arc that not only introduced two awesomely bad characters that served no purpose but the only "steak" the arc had was wether or not the shitty loli got to smile. We had the let's waste another Noumu arc while simuntaniously boosting hero society spirit and generating more trust to Endeavor. All of a sudden for no particular reason Deku starts getting OFA dreams, and what actually activates his new powers is someone talking shit about his husband Bakugou. We had a shitty uneeded training arc that focused on characters that I can say with 80% confidence will never have another fight in the manga, so why the fuck did you waste 20 or so chapters in this stupid shit, while also showcasing how little the side character have actually progressed. And finally we have another group of villains with possibly better motivations than the LOV job so they can look better.

1-A & B encountered quirks and applications they probably had not seen before, techniques that were strange to them (like growing mushrooms on everything, including lungs), they gained experience fighting actual opponents, not robots, not each other, and at least some of them gained more respect and maybe even liking for their contemporaries, the people they may have to rely on once they get in the real world. I think it was a very enjoyable arc. And I loved the image of three Froppies charging forward at the enemy.

I greatly enjoy the story so far but I do feel the overhaul arc was too long for its own good. I think joint training as fine but long arcs are always a turn off. USJ, Kamino and Summer camp as well as Stains ideology are my favorite parts of the story so far. This current arc with shigs as the "protagonist" is also pretty interesting.

I think the story is getting better but Hori is taking way too much time developing Deku. I'd be happier if he grew more and more because at the moment he isn't much different from summer camp aside from being more confident.
I personally feel like the story takes too much of a dip when Deku, Shigs, All might or the Todoroki's stop being the main focus. I just dont care enough about the other characters enough to want more slogs like last arc or provisional license.

As cool as Bakugo is, his relationship with All might feels very forced. Like he demands Deku to have a fight with him against his will and then all of a sudden Bakugo is like All might's second son.

I'd be much happier if his relationship with Best Jeanist was expanded or if he had an actual relationship with someone All might tier. Or if he threw in his lot with the LoV to desperately stay ahead of Deku.

It has it's highs and lows both before and after Kamino, but generally I don't think the story had gotten worse overall though the pacing definitely have. The Pro arc was good and a great setup to the current arc, but the school arcs feel more like padding than they did before.

It's weird in the way it's worded. In an ideal world your eBay shit would be somebody going to an event, buying something for 20 and selling it for 25 brand new or 15 used. The way this scam works is that the items are based on chance/raffle whether by raffle or by limited stock. So our plucky buyer gets their claws on 100 of item X
Now if going by the intentional raffle structure, our buyer gets 95 Common X's, 4 Rare X's and 1 Ultra Rare X at 20 each (same as before). Since they don't care about owning all 100 they'll sell either all of them, all but one of each or all but the ultra rare. Since each on is absolute mint condition, never opened limited event quality then they will easily sell like hotcackes. 25 for a Common, 500 for the Rare and 2,500 for the Ultra Rare - even more if they hold onto the stock for a while and give it some time based value. They spend 2,000, they get 6,875
Alternatively on the other model, the buyer attacks a limited stock product. At 20 a pop, they buy 100 of a single item by camping the stall and sniping 100 of the product before anybody on Earth can get it. Now if everyone was playing fairly, the value might rise to 25 as before for mint/new/limited but will basically stay at the value sold until time value kicks in. But if our buyer owns 100 of a 400 manufactured product, they now own 25% of the entire stock of this limited product, allowing them to directly dictate the value as and when they release this product into the stream. Everything about Bakugo in the story has felt forced since the Sports Festival. His base character is fine, competent asshole with an inferiority complex can be a driving force in the story, but he's just not relevant, has nothing to do with AfO and Hori has to shill him hard everytime he appears to remind us that he's supposed to be Deku's rival and equivalent despite him never having any realistic chance of catching up to OfA.

Writer is a lazy bum who writes up a new villain group when he needs it, and they'll only stay relevant until they're decisively beaten by the heroes.
This is the opposite of series like Naruto or HxH, who introduce villain groups that can stand on their own, making you interested in what the villains are going to do as much as the heroes.

This was seen as funny by the fandom, since Deku perfectly fits the description of a cuck and Bakugou perfectly fits the description of a bull, which led to jokes about people exaggerating Deku's desire to have Bakugou fuck his girlfriend.

Hori clearly cares about making side characters interesting and likable, but for some reason (possibly to make his 3rd series more palatable to the Jump audience) he fails utterly at making any of the most important characters someone the audience can appreciate. Deku is a whiny bitch, Bakugo is a screeching autist, Todoroki is an inert loser with daddy issues, and All Might is one of the worst mentor characters in fiction

It's not necessarily that it's worse, but I've been following since the series started, and I definitely noticed after Allmight vs. AFO that the pacing became more of a slog for a manga reader.
pre-Allmight vs. AFO the manga was going at a breakneck pace and it was great following it weekly, but I think Hori hit a wall where he hadn't planned for the series to go super far, so he had to slow down the pace and pad things out to give him breathing room to write, and also for better adaptation into anime form.
So overall it's harder to read in a weekly format, and that's effected how much I enjoy following the series.

I will also note that I miss the earlier style the art had, it seems like it's gotten softer or more generic over time, with Hori's line work getting weaker and less angular.
