the better isekai have their gimmick as an entry point, but the author has a story they want to tell, even if it's not done very well.
the likes of piggy duke and skeleton knight feel more like a template filled in with whatever theme or aesthetic they think is popular at the time.

I was actually rereading some earlier chapters today, and Nayun right toward the end of the Cube arc was genuinely very cute. She tried to spend as much of her time with Hajin as possible, was pretty frank and upfront about her feelings, and took a lot of initiative in establishing physical contact to show affection. Then things went tumbling down.

I don't know why but all his characters constantly look sideways. And it's not like he's particularly good at drawing characters that look that way.
