Yes. It is bit of a shame that older hairstyles are neglected, you can still spot lot of bowlcuts but dyed and maybe stylized somehow.
Bowlcut is pretty brilliant. You won't have any problems and you can change it if wanted into some other hairstyle with small tweaks. Hime-cut takes bit more maintenance but is also genius for its ease, while retaining that baroque feel. However you can't alter it into any other form and I'd personally deem attempts of doing so as heresy anyway.
Worst thing with hime-cut is that you reach levels of creepiness very fast if not maintained.
