Is she ashamed of making ANIME? Because I am pretty sure she is much more ambitious and can't stand the fact her works of ART are theated as fucking CARTOONS. Also keep in mind, Kyoani never ever talks about K-on since 2010 and most likely wants to pretend it never existed.

Take this shit to /JP/ weeb no one gives a fuck
>try to watch Koe no Katachi
>shaky cam everywhere
>chromatic aberration so bad you can barely see the scene
>lens flare galore
Can't she just do her amateurish film school projects in live action and leave anime alone?
who ?
> koe no katachi
> shaky cam
wtf are you on about ?
>wtf
It's so bad in the initial part before the timeskip that it makes the movie unwatchable.
>they don't know the face figure of Yea Forums's official studio
Jej
Who cares what a fem*Le wants?
but she's the future of anime though.
she's the takahata to shinkai's miyazaki.
Gonna assume you are full of shit and a faggot until footage is posted.
Not him, but she does do that. In some scenes it's worse than the others and it's mostly mild so your brain wouldn't really register it if you are into the movie, but it's pretty sad that she resorts to such cheap tricks for literally no reason. Well, you can make an argument that when she shook camera when MC and deaf girl were underwater it was to increase immersion, but then it felt weird when there was scene when deaf girl was running, I was half-expecting a shaky-cam but she didn't do it. It's really at complete random.
I don't think she successfully shook camera to enhance the effect even once, all the best shots are still too, so what they were thinking is a mystery.
I really thought this scene didn't need shaky cams, it's not a fucking action scene for this kind of thing.
jannies and/or mods, do your jobs
>future of anime
>all her movies are crap that don't understand human behavior but still try to pretend they are realistic
Who?
If Yui became an anime director, what sort of anime would she make?
Hitori Bocchi
I loved this movie, i think it works.
fun anime
You already know. We all know.
You should be open to criticism even if you like the thing as a whole. Some scenes do, some scenes don't, just because you like the movie you shouldn't justify fucking shaky cam in a fucking anime movie, that kind of smells of apologism.
For example, I love Kaiji, I am still reading it and it feels like FKMT improved pacing just a notch, but goddamn he needs to work on that. And that's an ongoing issue.
>but i likez
great argument bubs
So she's a female Yamakan? No wonder everything Kyoani makes recently is an utter dogshit.
Why do you think she claimed Yamakan harrassed her and made sure he quit
Based
need source on that
There is no source. There's a rumour that Yamakan was fired from KyoAni due to sexual harassment, but it's just a rumour. It could be true, but it could also not be. Either way, there's no details that exist regarding who may have been involved.
>just because you like the movie you shouldn't justify fucking shaky cam in a fucking anime movie
I don't really care for it myself, but I don't understand why some people talk like "shaky cam" should not exist in animation at all.
Who gives a shit about kon, azumanga, nichijou etc.
We only like battle shonen anyone who doesn't like battle shonen is a retard
Reminder that KnK had over 10x the budget of Knnw.
>dude, feet and invetory shots, am I an auteur yet?
Her works are quite literally cringe. Such embarrassing teenage melodrama and creatively bankrupt visual directing it's almost pitiful. Keiichi Hara has more talent in his dick than she does in her entire body.

bitch looks like angela anaconda in that pic
Imagine watching Kyoani after their magnum opus concluded.
She's LITERALLY SHAKING
Fuckin hell it's like you don't even want to audience to feel any empathy
noice
Really? And if this is true, why the fuck Kimi no na wa looks better than koe no katachi
> Kyoani never ever talks about K-on since 2010 and most likely wants to pretend it never existed
She literally just wrote a blogpost about K-on!'s 10th anniversary on KyoAni's website.
All of Shinkai's films have had notably low budgets (5cm/s had his highest budget at an estimated 550 million yen, still only a sixth of Koe no Katachi's), he generally compensates with good use of digital effects. Also Kimi no na wa had Masashi Andou, a former Ghibli veteran, working alongside Shinkai on the art direction.
>For comparison, Kimi no Na wa (1 hr 52 min) had a budget of 300 million yen, and Koe no Katachi (2 hr 10 min) had a budget of 250 million yen

hmmmm
I got the info from imdb a while back but KnK's budget seems to have been removed. I apologise for spreading misinformation then.
Just add a blinding flashing red colour in the background and people will like it
Sunao Katabuchi >>>>>>>>>>>> Makoto Shinkai > Naoko Yamada
I love you user but my tolerance for horrible threads only goes so far
what was katachi's budget?
Read the thread
i did read the thread and I saw no source.
Budget does not directly translate into quality, didn't the director or someone for OPM come forward to dispel this myth when everyone was saying how high budget the OPM anime must be?
...
Read the thread more carefully
>yamakan
alright.
What did he mean by this?
Shaky cam shouldn't be used very often period. There are times when it might enhance the scene, but most of the time it's terribly mishandled by literally spewing them out at random for no reason. Only once shaky cam made sense in my opinion in KnK was when they were underwater, it enhances being underwater effect and shaking wasn't heavy. However, that was the only instance where it worked as for some reason shaky cams are barfed out throughout the movie and they almost never make sense. It creates this atmosphere of trying too hard.
My theory is that all of these kinds of criticisms are made by video game players who view anime through the same lens
>Hehehe, I'll imply he's Yea Forums crossboarder
>t-that'll discredit him!
You sure showed me.
Liz and the Blue Bird is the most vacuous film I have ever watched.
Crossboarding's got nothing to do with it, just the application of the wrong critical lens
I was actually talking through the lens of movies, I don't think games were criticized for shaky camera?
Wouldn't you need to watch at least a second movie for that opinion to mean anything?
Tell me one thing that it does well
janny only deletes isekai
Music, also everything
