Konan isn't Akatsuki to me. Akatsuki to me is the pairings and everything up to Pain's death. They completely changed once that hit and they introduced the origins of it.

This- I originally thought the fucker was a fucking ultra cannibal carnivourous plant master, nevermind the lack of explanation about his venus fly trap head which went missing in the war because they just forgot it's importance.

Then there was the white Zetsu's lack if diversity, like in Boruto it's revealled Kaguya had more varied reserves in stock that might have actually made the war interesting.

The biggest fuckups in my opnions are:
Hidan, and the fact that he is in league with what I can only determine is literally D&D 1e-3.5's Baal as his god, who makes you immortal in return for mass sacrifice who later get's a little coverage in the novel with asuma's daughter stopping a cult from making a second one of him, and the fact that he never made a comeback.

Like, holy fuck, a guy who curses you with shared casualty, and he knows no decent ninjutsu, or better yet, can he use the death god seal without it's aftereffects/like a fucking stand? Waste.

And Kakazu was no better, fucker was an organ man, and yet they never make it so that he outright escapes edo tensei by just stocking up on available materials in the battleground, despite the chakra natuure crap literally being the fucking soul, could;ve just anchored himself transplanting fucking everything.

Kisame was alright, but he always looked like he lacked something, and it's really crap how a lot of his fighting stopped being like the fighting games, where his goal was to shave people and you'd see it in his moves, because his sword became that stupid, albeit cute chakra gremlin

Tobi/Obito reveal was known for eons, but it sucks that he's never learned from his ass-kickings, nor did the pacing to his reveal work out- I feel those old fan depictions of his face being revealed actually did a better job, and they ruined one of the things I wanted to see him do in the final fight- Never stop talking shit to Kakashi because of Rin- but the fucker drops it flat with NOFEELS IN MUH HEART/DON'T care.

Then there's the part where Tobi/Obitio and even Madara don't even advetize the outright benefits of a world of Dreams- which might have been appealing, taking into notion that Madara explicitly outlined that the process of the Jutsu allowed the creation of a blank mental world which could be designed accordingly to suit the hosts wishes.

Then they fucked it up when they made Road to the ninja, and made it so that the Dream worlds creation somehow actually happens in an instant- and forgot they were making a literal Ninitsu based version of the matrix- no Ninjas and crappy ass war edition, and shoehorned in the Kaguya bullshit which utterly ruined the entire premise of this entire idea which Madara THOUGHT was his own thing- which even looked that way at one point.

The fact that the infinite Tsukuyomi didn't do exactly as Madara showed Obito shows the fine point in which that Bamboo cutter 2hu was dropped in like a shitty creation engine mod- otherwise it woul'dve worked like advertised, and down the like of the Madara battle we ALL wanted, then the Zetsu process would've kicked in after we got the sort of shit that was in the OP of that season, I feel they really did just pull all of that shit because they wanted this awful IP to finally end.

FACT: Deidara killed Sasuke and everything following is a fantasy Naruto subconsciously cooked up to cope with the death of and latent sexual attraction to his best friend.

I think that Obito's was handled slightly better because it took more time to take in. We see him already having a full grasp of Naruto's views, desperately trying to convince himself that he could break Naruto's will and growing doubts about his plan like 50 chapters before he decided actively oppose Madara.

Nagato on the other hand had just killed Jiraiya but decides to do his 180 based on nothing but Naruto telling him "I don't know how to achieve peace but I'll do it anyway because I really believe I can do it and because I have this book from the guy you killed a few days ago"

Sasori's the most interesting power and villain wise, but Deidara's reasonably interesting, somehow felt like an underdog a lot of the time, and got me to root for him so he wins. Kisame's entirely boosted by his character, but that's saying something for a nurutu character. Kakuzu was like discount Sasori with more blasts. I liked his powers (sans constant elemental blasts) and backstory conceptually, but they weren't carried out well. He didn't really get to have as much of a story as the others.

First one to introduce mangekyu, regular susano wasn't enough, he had to have the most gary stu susano of them all, "oh you resurrected me, and now you are controlling me against my own will, think again" *asspulls Shisui eye", Izanagi? Yeah that's a cool technique but watch this *asspulls Izanami*

Also what bother me about the mangekyou sharingan is its rarity. If the requirement for it is great emotional distrest then how do so few uchiha have it when they have survive through the warring states era and three ninja wars where emotional distrest should have been abundant?

Hashirama cells/Zetsu body. It's the generic plot hole filler, but in terms of his general capacity getting raised substantially, it works. If the mangekyo requires a lot of chakra just to get, Zetsu gave it to him. Physical resilience, speed, stamina, and boosted stats? Hashi Cells. Kamui not blinding him and being spamable? Hashi cells. Even with Kakashi, Kishi kept doing a thematic flair of Obito's eyes still being connected, so with Hashi spackle it's all questionable.

Even then, I agree that Obito's got to have some legitimate skill. He wasn't just stat checking Minato. It's hilariously hard to conceive of him not living up to Sauce at that age sans being a clutz. He had a war to condition him, and likely got accelerated training and experience, but he really couldn't have been that bad in general.

He wasn't remotely talented when he fought Minato. He got his ass handed to him in literally a few minutes
