God DP has been so fucking lazy with the animation this season. Look how bad that frame is
But JoJo's is good because it's built on asspulls. The battles come down to "how can I think of the most insane way to get out of this situation/kill the enemy" and the characters project that solution onto the world through their Stands, which are after all just visual indicators of ESP-abilities.
This is why most of the villains are basically just obstacles for the cast to climb over - they don't adopt inventive thinking or try to use their abilities in new ways, because their hubris leads to them assuming that they are infallible. It's overall much better writing, thematically, than just slapping a JRPG fighting mechanic onto a story and then inevitably boiling said story down into an even less consistent mess of mechanic-breaking plot developments.
They've not been more lazy, they just spread the laziness out more evenly. There's no abundantly obvious disgusting QUALITY moments like there was in Parts 3 and 4, you just get a little bit of derp in the art accross the board.
Good meme
Would fatGiorno's Stand be [JIMMY EATS WORLD]?
Yes
Hxh, scholar anons already explained why.
It's not a meme
>muh asspull
everyone that complains about asspulls in shounens is a brainlet fightfag and should hang
>Gon goes his adult form that is apparently stronger than ant king according to cat ant thing
>Not an asspull
The absolute state of huntertards

MY RUBBER NEN
it doesn't even look bad? it's completely on-model
Unironically Vision Of Escaflowne

>Gon san
>asspull
>"Enhancement is the ability to use aura to increase the natural abilities of an object or one's own body."
Brainlets are misattributing the fact Alluka somehow conveniently exists and offset the consequences of Gon's decision to sacrifice his future potential with Nen.
>makes the most extreme pact and limitation of any Hunter known
>becomes the most powerful of any known Hunter for a limited time
>this is an asspull
Hurr durrr
Are you defending or attacking it?
Not sure with this stupid reply.
You might be mentally challenged user.
Try to reason out how exactly Gon's transformation breaks the rules of Nen.
Not him but he didn't learn it through training, literally pulled it out of his ass
O MY ANDROGYNOUS SISTER
>shounen
He learned it from Kurapika who had a pact.
one piece
>o my revenge chains
>o my potential on credit
>o my reset button
What rules did gon put in place for him self to suddenly just grow?
FMA:B
>after I do this I will permanently lose all use of my nen, and as an extension, any possibility of measuring up to my dad
It's enhancement-type Nen so it makes sense that it made him physically different and much stronger. The fucking wolf guy from the phantom troupe certainly wasn't natty, neither is Netero.
Kill yourself with a rubber nen dildo
Hunter x Hunter
>people are seriously more upset over Rubber Nen than Alluka's entire existence
What the fuck. At least we've seen some healing-related Nen that makes Rubber Nen semi-plausible, Alluka is the real asspull that everyone's okay with because it protects Gons smile
One Piece basically has asspulls as a rule.
>implying that pic is an asspul
SNK
Akame ga Kiru is Shonen DONE RIGHT all other post 2010 shonen are trash
That's a shoujo retard
Asspulls are great though in JoJo because they're bullshit but believable bullshit
In other shounen series asspulls are usually just
>damn they are going to beat me with their ching chong nip nong jutsu
>oh wait my friends need me nvm i can totally beat him now lol
in JoJo it's
>damn Elbis is going to beat me with his stand 「HOUND DOG」which lets him transform into a giant wolf i should escape into the water
>oh no he followed me into the water whatever shall i do now - JUST KIDDING
>I BET YOU DIDN'T KNOW THAT SOUND TRAVELS 4 TIMES FASTER IN WATER
>NOW「GOOD VIBRATIONS」USE YOUR POWER OVER WAVELENGTHS TO RETIRE ELBIS
He sacrificed all of his nen.
He basically took out a nen loan that he'll have to pay off for the rest of his life.
That was actually planned though.
It's bullshit that Alluka could just eliminate consequences for free, but if you could notice patterns you'd realize that every Zoldyck child has the first syllable of their name be the last syllable of the previous one's name.
The ones we knew about were Illumi, Milluki, Killua, and Kalluto. It stands to reason that there'd be a child younger than Killua but older than Kalluto named Alluka.
I'm not arguing that Alluka wasn't a stupid plot point, but he/she was absolutely planned and foreshadowed.
Sengoku Youko
Air gear
It's impossible when they only have a week to prepare to write and draw about 15 pages every week. We forget that these guys are only human. They can't and will not always come out with the best outcome.
One Piece is the closest to perfection we'll get in terms of plotting battle shounen with as little asspulls as ever. Only thing I can think of that is iffy is how Shanks who later becomes a yonko got his arm eaten by a sea monster that Luffy one shots at the beginning of the story. Also Bird Cage was some real weak writing. Dressrosa as a whole was a mess.
You don't need to train to apply a limitation to your nen, stops implying other shonen logic to this series, Gon is stated numerous time to have absurd potential, he used all of it at once at the cost of his life, even when healed by Killua plot siblingthat was an actual ass pull
he still can't use nen
Black Clover. Everything is being foreshadowed. Could change in the future though.
this guy gets it.
silly user, Araki plan years ahead how to make things more confusing and bullshit
One could argue that Dolfy imbued a small amount of haki into his strings.
Sugar's devil fruit one the other hand is 100% BS.
>thinking VOE is pure shoujo
It's as much shonen as it is shoujo
The question is: why does no one else in HxH world do this?
Imagine Netero did what Gon did when he was about to die fighting Meruem.
>hurr durr everyone dies
No
>SNK
That garbage is riddled with asspulls
Netero already unlocked all of his potential and already focused his abilities into specifics (time compression, giant statue, zero hand) through years of training.
Name one
>why does no one else in HxH world do this?
Because it's suicide. It's like IRL when a person takes out a giant loan from the fucking mafia, they know it's a one-way deal that's gonna kill them very soon.
That’s his point user, if you’re about to die and with the deal Gon made can become as strong as Meruem why does nobody do it?
Netero could have done that instead of blowing himself up to one slap Meruem (wouldn’t really have changed the outcome of the fight)
Any random Hunter could wreck havoc for a small time by making this condition too.
I could just go in front of an important figure heavily guarded and do that, who could stop me?
>Because it's suicide
That's what Netero was about to do.
The pact was basically "gimmie all the power I will ever have in my life (in exchange for my life)". Netero was already an old fart, he can't gain anything. Unless I am mistaken lifespans in HxH are still pretty normal (aside from dark continent shenanigans).
>I could just go in front of an important figure heavily guarded and do that, who could stop me?
And then die in a few minutes. Plus you have no idea how powerful you would be. Gon is a freak like his father, other hunters like Razor commented as much.
>pernament
O MY NIGGER SISTER
"Braun" armor bottle
Burnt Armong
Reiner consciousness transfer
>Any random Hunter could wreck havoc
You're assuming they all have the same potential as Gon.
Put it this way:
Leorio makes $30,000/year.
Gon makes $300,000/year.
If both of them made a pact that was "give me all the money I will ever make in my life" do you really think Leorio would be as strong as Gon?
Not to mention that getting all of your power at once might overwhelm you or be fucking useless depending on what nen type you are.
Because on of the fundamental principles of Nen is, you have to believe the restrictions you give yourself are actually fair.
Gon is a kid who likes to fight and adventure. Giving up his potential to him, is a very fair trade.
Ah who cares? Shonen > *
Anyone who's never even seen anime can watch an episode and have a good time.

I love Mob but its either
>Wait until Mob gets to 100%

Thats it, Reigen intervening moments are great though, today's episode with him beating Shimazaki was pretty much perfect.
>one piece
>battle shonen
Based and nenpilled hunterchads.
This is like asking name something with perfect writing. Obviously the answer is very few fictional stories are perfect and arguably perfectly planned != good.
I can't
This unironically.
I mean, you guys should win an argument every now and then, its all you shitbags do. Its not like you have actual new material to read or a show to watch so it makes sense you would have time to excel in the art of shitposting and trying to make everyone else suffer as much as you do.
>three unrelated and overpowered abilities
>two of which don't really even matter
>eternal youth was tacked on, she could just be a regular loli
>can certain erase memories of people not there by "deleting" people important to them
>never uses this effectively, instead using it to hide pseudo-executions from the public by a famous criminal who openly murders people
MAXIMUM COPE
The author actually planned ahead, and got lots of asspulls anyway.
>they don't adopt inventive thinking or try to use their abilities in new ways
Occassionally they do, and it's great, but honestly, I don't know how could so many Jojo villains be convinced that their stands are invincible. Specially people like Kira, who had never used Sheer Heart Attack against another stand user and still was convinced that it had no weaknesses, when it actually had tons of weaknesses.
>One could argue that Dolfy imbued a small amount of haki into his strings.
Even with a little Haki, he was destroying an entire island. Whitebeard was feared because his fruit was one of the few that could actually destroy islands, and Doflamingo casually does it with some strings, while fighting Luffy and Law, and while Zoro, an Admiral, and a shitton of heavy weights are locked inside said island, and they're all somehow unable to put a dent. One Piece arcs always end with the villain trying to destroy the island or do something equally impressive, but never merely with their hands.
>if you’re about to die
If you're about to die, your life means nothing. Gon didn't give up his life, the damage on his body was caused by the massive increase in aura (nen baptism uses the same logic, while aura is life energy, too much aura can damage anyone). Alluka could heal the damage because it wasn't part of the restriction. Gon gave up the potential to ever use Nen again for anything else than beating Pitou, he wouldn't have even be able to use that form against the King. Alluka couldn't return him his Nen because that was part of the pact, so, even if he has aura because he's still a living being, he can't use Nen.
However, I agree that, with the way Nen works, we should see more people like Kurapika with specific moves against people he hates, or even people with abilities that capitalize on Nen becoming stronger after death. Camilla is so far the only one that has really exploited both things, with her ability and her suicide bombers. But someone like Hisoka that's regularly hunted by people that wants revenge, it's pretty hard to believe that no one hated him strongly enough to make up some Nen to beat him like Kurapika did.
Hellsing
Don't mind me, just STILL being the best after all these years.
>that's supposed to be "sakuga"
ahahahahaha holy shit ahaha oh no no kids these days
I'm sorry what?
The entire thing is ridden with asspulls. Have you even seen the ending?
>speedwatching
Oof
Maybe he just meant in the sense that it's indestructible, which it was
