I thought this OVA will become good story for next chapter.
* Seiya and the gangs eventually meet the consequences by defy the deities (Poseidon and Hades)
* Gold Saints were punished into statues because they helped Seiya, not forbids them to against deities.
* Eagle Marin finally found his lost brother
* Apollo and Artemis greatest plan are still mystery
* The rest of Bronze saints except Seiya,Shiryu,Hyoga, Shun and Ikki turn their back against from Athena with lead by Ophiuchus Shaina and no more Sanctuary.
* Apollo decides to wipeout their memories and create a new world
I thought Kurumada will create great story based this OVA, not another lazy writing about 5 Bronze Saints who enter enemy's yard and try to save Athena.
I personally enjoyed Overture. It was like better than anything that came after for sure. Maybe some of the more soulful Omega episodes come close, but there wasn't many of them.

it just didn't get the interest of the japanese public, kurumada thought it was too serious and didn't enjoy it, so it was cancelled.
Kurumada dicks around with the series, the plot progressed too little, and even if they made a new anime adapting Next Dimension right now in short they'd catch up with the manga and run out of material to adapt. He's a total asshole.

Why? The story is shit, the characters are shit, the setting is shit and the animation is worse than SoG. It's a giant turd in animated format. There are tons of chinese cartoons with hot girls every season so that's not an excuse

Loved Overture, got the V5 Seiya's Myth Cloth recently.
Saintia Sho's art wasn't that bad, but the animation was horrible. Nothing will ever come close to the original anime til Toei animation get rid of their censor policy and their rushed episodes.
Kurumada's hand is fucked after decades of hot-blooded drawings and alcohol. He can't draw like he used to and live in a permanent pain that only get worse for still doing mangas but he's stubborn as fuck. He wouldn't make it in the manga business if he wasn't that stubborn.

The original plan for the franchise at the time was the same Toei is following with Dragon Ball right now.

Disregarding whether if they adapt it to anime or not, It would be nice if they resumed that plan with Chimaki Kuori doing the drawing. She's quite good at it, and they already let her do her self-insert doujin and publish it. They may even keep the saintias as secondary characters (like Jabu and the other jobber Bronze saints) if they want to.

The guys from super sentai say that the ratings are dropping a LOT, and that if things keep going like that they might be forced to stop it, even when it's been going on more than 40 years. They put a Kamen Rider show and Dragon Ball Super, both franchises that belong to them, at the same timeslot in different channels. Both series suffered from it. Dragon Ball Super has never been great, but it was SHIT until Shounen Jump and Kurumada with the help of Toyotaro came to the rescue. Sailor Moon Crystal. 'nuff said. What the fuck is wrong with them? Do they only care about Precure and sometimes One Piece?

Tenkai hen was not that good, but it is better than what ND have become. All the past gold saints are shit so far, exception being Dohko, Shion and Shijima. That Cancer Meatball saint... The lion-hearted... The one-body twins... The centaur Sagittarius... I love Saint Seiya for such a long time and probably won't stop reading that shit, but it makes me really sad.

From what I read a couple years ago, it suppose the opening for Seiya and the gangs fight against Olympian Gods but they decide to erase that story and make Seiya turn into handicap because Hades sword. I enjoy the Overture because Athena power start weak(before she burn her Cosmo with Seiya in final scene) and the prime bronze only have limited power because Athena can't provide more Cosmo to them.
