The man banging on the door is the suspicious guy who's appeared in previous chapters. He tries to harm Natsuo, who tries to protect Misaki, so Misaki decides to have a conversation with him outside.
It turns out that since a year ago, Misaki had been transporting drugs for that man, after being offered a job by him. The man banging on the door was there to find out what had happened to the drug route that Misaki was involved in as there had been some problems.
Next day
While Natsuo is out, Hina comes to his apartment and meets Misaki. After seeing how helpful Hina is (how Hina says she would help Misaki if she's in trouble), Misaki thinks about how Hina reminds her of Natsuo.
Despite knowing that it is wrong, Misaki tries to find the drugs that Natsuo hid from her, but it turns out that they had been disposed already. The reason why Natsuo can't leave Misaki is not just sympathy, but because he thinks this (Misaki's whole situation) could have happened to him too.
Natsuo says that they should turn themselves in, even if he is accused of helping a drug mule. Misaki once again thinks about how similar Natsuo and Hina are (how self-sacrificing they are, I suppose).
Misaki decides to turn herself while being accompanied by Natsuo. But, on their way, they're kidnapped by two people.
Damn sasuga emphasised twice how much Hina and Nat are alike. Gives me a sliver of hope that Hina might win.

It makes no sense to keep Hina suffering and devoting herself to Natsuo at this point, if Kei wanted she could have had her marry Kengo by scrapping the whole stalker arc and be done with it. It makes no sense from a writing perspective. Even SEO made asuka move on from Haruto after their breakup in KNIM and Tama(Yuu's childhood friend) for fuuka.
Rui was 'sickly' obsessive. and having Natsuo did nothing to help. no matter what they did or promised or overcame in their relationship, their fighting only got worse.
Her obsession stems from wanting the 'love' Natsuo had for Hina, which Rui experienced when she was hugged by Natsuo while wearing the wig.
It should be noted that before the trip to Hinas new home, Natsuo had acknowledged that his love for Hina and Rui are different from each other.
My theory is Natsuo having far stronger and genuine love with Hina because "destiny" despite the outside circumstances that endangered it.
