Well, he downplayed pretty hard the cigarettes's references on the TV version, basically they are non-existent besides the names and the colors.
I do not know if Tatsuki was really a smoker back then or if I did an anime about cigarettes only for the cool factor, like what happened with Evangelion where you have a shitton of Abrahamic mythology on the series, but nobody at Gainax was a follower or was even interested on Christianity or Judaism, they only did it because it was strange and as consequence something cool.

Well, supposedly Rin represents the body of the First Person, so one may expect that the adult version of the First Person is pretty similar looking to Rin, if not exactly the same look minus the clothes, although there may be also the scenario where the body is simply put the strength and some more features that defines an human, so we may still get a fixture of the looks of the sisters with the First Person.

I think that the adult form of the First Person should at least have some details from each sister (majority being from Rin), since they're all a part of her.

Well, the sisters are described by Ryouku as the senses of the First Person, each one of the sisters being one of those senses and the only one outside that pattern is Rin being the body and originally not having a specialized sense as the rest of the sisters, with her specialized sense of sight being a hand down from Ryouku.
Still, we may also account from things like the changes that could happen when a human like the First Person makes the transition from a pure human being to a Kemurikusa human being like the sisters and that should explain the change from black to magenta hair color, so there may be some room to fiddle with the looks of the First Person and as a consequence get the First Person looking like Rin but with some features present on the rest of the sisters.

Real talk, I kinda love the Rinas. Anyone who has family members who are twins/triplets/etc knows what it's like having a few literally identical people you know who are hardly distinguishable except for things you learn about them over time. So growing to know about the Rinas felt like growing to know a bunch of actual quadruplets where I feel like if I went back and watched Kemurikusa again, I'd be able to tell when Rinaji is saying something smart, when Rinayo is being cute and genki, when Rinacchi is being kind of an insufferable bitch, and so on.

Probably "no-name" who originally had the memory leaf did it after seeing the horrific consequences, if that's still canon.

Remember that the new instruction is to "find what you like to do, and do it" similar to what old Wakaba told Riri before sacrificing himself. I would have to assume the person who did it also wanted to respect his wishes.

Was it the memory sister who suicided immediately? I'm not sure if she exists in this version of the story. Maybe they thought the memory of Wakaba and how they created the red tree that destroyed the world was too painful, so instead of having the sisters waste their lives searching for something they might never find, they should just try to find happiness. That's what scientist Wakaba would have wanted.

Wakaba said to Riri "just live your own life" or something like that. So I think it was Riri who must have changed her mind at some point. Maybe after she realized she was creating creatures that were also sentient. Or maybe she discovered there was a different way to save Wakaba and they weren't needed for that anymore? But I get the feeling like it was her who both erased it and wrote the same phrase that she remembered Wakaba telling her.

Yes. This story in general is extremely well thought-out. You can tell Tatsuki planned ahead and knew exactly where he was taking everything. I can't wait to do a full rewatch and pick up on the little hints that he's sprinkled throughout like the lab coat and stuff.

In particular I loved the explanation for why Rin was crushing on Wakaba. At first you think "eh, she's a Tsundere I guess?" And some of us didn't quite buy the idea of her having a crush on him. And it turns out we were right, that was a red herring, it was really her memory leaf reacting to him. Stuff like that is just pure genius. This is why I watch anime.

And that you can combine Kemurikusa too. I remember Wakaba messing around with that in an earlier episode. I thought he would just develop a new weapon/attack. But combining Kemurikusa was how the red tree was created in the first place and how the sisters split.

Well, lot of stuff was revealed today so it's all down to who erased Daidai mystery and fight with red tree. Might be possible.

Like others have said, possibly the sister that committed suicide. Maybe she didnt kill herself right after awakening, but found Wakaba's dead body, realized there was no way to complete the mission, erased it to fulfill Wakaba's last wish, then killed herself because she had nothing to live for anymore.

There's a couple important details about Wakaba's resurrection, mainly that he actually came back as a proper human for some reason, remember he now bleeds, while Rin and the sisters don't, and in the flashback he just mentioned that humanity seems to have better senses than himself and was amazed at Riri for this reason
