on a par with being an animator, it's not worthy unless you are in love with your craft
One day I'll fulfill my dream of becoming Namori in body and soul.
the workload is too heavy
I am American Canadian mangaka, I work very hard and what you say is true, dont worry fans my manga is coming soooon!!!
godspeed user
is that your plan to watch list, user?
No user, I just found it interesting. I was actually searching for a mangaka who actually quit his series mid way, I think due to conflict with his editor. I wasn't able to find that out, but saw this instead.
Oops, for
I only read manga/LNs made by 100% pure-blooded Japanese creators. If it's made by mixed people, I don't even consider reading it. If it's made by western scum, then it's not manga.
Fuck the hectic work schedule. Every biography I read of a famous mangaka sounds like they're dying.
I'd rather make a webcomic that updates 2-3 times a week and live off of Patereon bucks.
based and redpilled. Same here.
I hope they get paid well, if not why not just make a patreon? Judging by how shit tier r34 easily makes 5 digits a month, even a semi popular mangaka would be able to make 100k+/year
Easiest mangaka job is making 4koma manga which is basically slice of life manga done in 4 panels.
K-on is a good example.
Make a good slice of manga that doesn't require much drawing skills and get an anime adaption and rake in the money
Because they're not antisocial.
>conflict with his editor
I really want to hear more about these kinds of things. Why do editors have so much power? There are no guarantee that the readers will like their ideas more than the authors'.
How is having a patreon antisocial?
If it's on weekly shonen jump i don't read it.

Do you remember what happened to MX0, user?
ITT slow drawing hacks
Get good or fuck off, mashima and murata can pump out over a hundred pages a week if they want, mangaka that complain about the deadlines are just shit at drawing fast, no talent for it.
