Tfw you realize anime was perfected in the 80's and has since been on a slow decline
Late 90's, early 00's was the best era.
Perfected? 80's didn't have violet evergarden so that's impossible.
It has Dragon Ball.
I hope Urusei Yatsura isn't your idea of a perfect anime because it's total dogshit.
nice projection
I don't think you know what that word means.
I've been watching several early 00s anime recently and I've found several series that have become some of my favorite stuff. Namely Haibane Renmei and Kino no Tabi. I'm sure the 80s has some of the best sci-fi series though. 80s and 90s.

Mid 00s were great.
The decline coincided with official streaming becoming a thing.
Note, I'm not saying that is the reason, it simply coincided.
Watch Oshii's other TV show.
Subtle bait
Anime peaked between 1995-2007
No, the 00s don't become good no matter how much time passes.
You mean between NGE and Lucky Star?
I almost agreed. Then I remembered the Monogatari series (and Shaft/Shinbou overall).
Yes, Kyoani has kicked the bucket with help from overseas, but not everything is bad.
What gets me is that people don't realise Oshii was the cheeky one and Ito wrote all those serious dramatic episodes and movies.
The 80’s is the second best decade of anime after the 00’s. This is irrefutable, and anyone with knowledge about anime agrees with me.
Shame 00s anime were mostly made for SD screens and so are stuck in that quality forever.
The best part of patlabor was the monster of the week stuff.
Look at all those sexy primary colors.
