The first one also claims that the king used the samurai armor while killing the traitors, the latter says he was using his "diamond knight" armor which is mentioned in year one LN. So we aren't sure if the golds appear or not.

As another user said her old party is so high rank at this point that they're all too involved in their own shit to just drop their own responsibilities to help, and because at the end of the day "it's just goblins lol." Her teammates would have sympathy for her knowing her history but no one's going to dedicate those kind of resources for goblins. As it is, no one knew just how potentially fucked the town was until GS and his team found the Champ and the Mirror. Even SM only knew what her Familiar was dealing with. Look how hard it was to mobilize a group to defend the Farm even though they damn well knew it would be a growing, advancing army on the town itself

You can see five of them here, around the middle, praying to gods before went to battle.
The gods is Goddess of War, Goddess of Love (Earth Mother), God of Law, God of Wind/Travel, & God of Light. Only SM & Bug Priest pray to gods in His party.
The fate of five heroes are currently unknown until the end of Dai-Katana. Abundance designed the labyrinth as suicidal, one way travel beyond the 4th level.
King speech about SM party suffer terrible fate at the hand of a slime might be more than just a banter.
The point is SM put more efforts to save GS than her own town. As far as she know, there're only goblins at current Labyrinth of Dead, same as Water Town. But she still manage to convince allies from various factions to support her at assaulting it.

What stands out most is the presentation of GS as a character using value to great emotive effects. That, and how the goblins are presented in grotesque detail. And the rest as far as I'm concerned, story and art, is just mediocre anime fantasy schlock. They're high points. But only because the artist understands how to compose a panel to bring that intensity out. And I'm assuming these are the only parts of the LN written to even demand this attention to detail from the artist.

My first impression was the manga adaptation, which was very entertaining. I'm rooting for its success, but I made the mistake of trying to read the web novel - once Naofumi founded his settlement, there would be long periods where fuck all happens, chapter after chapter. Eventually I stopped.

Its like the entire world used to operate by different rules and, as soon as the story starts, suddenly all of the tropes stopped working and everything became gritty and realistic, and none of the characters have learned the new rules yet because last week this wasn't how the world worked.

It just the most garbage, bottom tier of power fantasy: the MC is stronk not because he is anything special, but because the entire rest of the world has been written to be inexplicably and illogically inept.
