Wasn't the reason Fiamma even came up with a plan is that Angel Fall WASN'T supposed to happen that easily, and the fact it did meant the world was messed up? The world being messed up there is also probably related to what happened with Othinus's world (assuming that her own magic/experiments didn't play a part). I suspect that whatever made the world messed up in the first place is responsible for the sparks Aleister wanted to stop, and will be the final thing our protags (and their friends) have to solve.

In Thelema Coronzon and Shugal are not one and same, it’s the opposite.
There are strict differences, they are two different types of beings and govern different things and operate on different morale.
Coronzon herself – noncombatant that guards the Abyss. Evil as fuck.
Shugal - combat part of Coronzon responsible for guarding the Dumbo and removing whatever dares to step into its hidey-hole within Abyss. Has no other motivation, does not fuck with anyone, can’t into Keikaku’s, is extremely boring.
Shugals main features include 2 things. Complete invisibility. Instagibing.
He will have to be nerfed incredibly hard in order to be put into the Index.
Thus I’d rather meme Alesiter to be used as a second half to go full 666 as in the end it does not matter. Complete form of 666 is Coronzon and she has full control over its powers.

Mugino's whole plot is pretty pointless if she doesn't die at the end of it. She starts trying to kill people over the body crystal, then at the very end she takes it herself. This sets up a huge expectation that she'll die a karmic death, but she gets saved from it for pretty much....no good reason.

I had on obvious route of Touma holding a Shugal in his hand the second I read about him, but then he just happens to fight Coronzon with IT.

Wasn't the point of Muginos character that she felt she was betrayed by Item in general as Frenda gave information, and Hamazura refused to follow her orders? I know that this is an entirely different (and unreasonable) perspective but Hamazura acknowledges that he "picked Takitsubo over her" in OT22 I think. If she was just a villain spouting nonsense then Hamazura wouldn't have acknowledged her. Hell in OT19, she saves the two as they flew away with one of her beams showing that she was indeed having a mental debate as to whether she was a monster who was abandoned by her underlings or a person that wanted to be "saved" by Hamazura like Takitsubo and Kinuhata.

To me she seemed to have been portrayed less like a monster and more like a self-destructive mess, at one point Hamazura even looked at her and felt guilty, you wouldn't feel bad for someone with the potrayal you speak of.

A monster is what Kakine appeared to Accelerator when he stabbed Yomikawa and continued his rage, fuck-everything I've transcended, speech.

Read the LN. In the novel the plane was surrounded by AC goons who were about to open fire on it. Mugino took them all out before they could.

Shugals hidey-hole is Coronzons house.
He guards it not because he cares about it, but because it is a Pylon of Coronzon.
Daath, the Gateway of the Abyss contains the towers which belong to the Coronzon – these janny guards. This is also his main habitat. So in order to be inside of Touma's right hand, Shugal would have to be quite far from home and probably with severe brain damage to attack his other half.
Thus I doubt he is there.
