Ascendance of a Bookworm

Another isekai got licensed. Probably because it's getting an anime. What is the appeal of it?
And why is the dad Hugh Jackman? animenewsnetwork.com/news/2019-03-17/j-novel-club-licenses-ascendance-of-a-bookworm-novels/.144654

Nice

Finally.

coming soon, Hugh Jackman slaughtering a pig

I read the manga, but thought it was kinda boring.

Attached: 1463709221166.png (256x278, 84K)

>And why is the dad Hugh Jackman?
Imagine Ryan Reynolds being isekai'd and having to deal with Hugh Jackman for a father.

Erica, the Abyss Killer updated, the fight was pretty kino.

At least JNC finally is stepping up their game and licensing stuff that will get an anime adaptation instead of things no one ever heard about.

>deadpool_shoryuken.jpg

Is this the thread or is it specifically about bookworm only?

Attached: 1527440124570.jpg (144x204, 15K)

bookworm only

read the first LN to see what the hype (that Yea Forums is throwing) was about and it was boring as shit. wtf Yea Forums?

don't kid yourselves, as much as I like it to remain a bookloli trhead

it will be taken over, might as well lube it now and ease the pain

I'm not sure what to be more amazed at, how much bullshit her opponent actually put up with and pulled out himself, or how rereading the previous chapter makes it obvious the whole fight went on her terms.
It's actually kinda confusing how he basically ignored most of her barrage, though.
The freaking Condensation Shield took like 9 wands' worth of punishment, and Longstrider helped him avoid another 4 homing shots, despite not buffing his reflexes. Is the Shield really so bullshit in DnD or was Erica holding back hard here? I mean, it was her plan from the beginning to exhaust him, but it seems like her cover plan should have done the job by itself, considering how many charges she used, unless she was holding back on power and speed, which seems like a dumb idea. Or alchemists are just weak in general.

It's comfy.
The other one is tainted and for the anime audience, also it'd be unfair to claim this thread.

Attached: jahy know.jpg (585x724, 49K)

She has access to enough power to outright murder him, it's just that doing that in public is a bad idea. At least like this she gives people the illusion that the fight was fair.

How do you make sodium hydroxide with all natural ingredients?

You guys really are cancer

>What is the appeal of it?
I've seen it described as rather wholesome, and I do really like it for its difference of tone and themes from other isekai, at least.
It's also amusingly one of the few isekai that don't just go and glamorize the medieval period, and is pretty upfront about how shitty it is. The peasants are dirty as fuck, hygiene is shit, temple prostitution is regular practice, and so far there's no god damn adventurer's guild.
Personally, I kinda enjoy reading about Myne trying to satisfy her book-autism.

I had assumed most of the power from those wands was going into the trap overhead, but then again I kinda speedread and not for certain. In any case, wands normally have about a hundred charges, so it may not be immediately obvious if she's using one with a thousand charges?

I think it's this one, but user fucked the op

So now I have to first find out which are saltwort plants to burn them, and how to make quicklime.

cant compare a little girl thats super weak and gets sick easily with only one helper to a team of people

What's the fucking point of the isekai part here? She may as well be a gril from that world and absolutely nothing would change.

Especially since we're talking about a little girl with the mind of a normal adult who has to try to remember old outdated methods for how to make books and papers through trial and error, compared to an omnidisciplinarian supergenius child with ultimate memory abilities knowing how to build all of civilization within less than half a year, complete with all the prerequisite tech to make the prerequisite tech for the prerequisite tech and so on.

Earth Knowledge user.

Attached: 1538169649637.jpg (1316x183, 66K)

A normal little girl in that world wouldn't know how to invent and develop paper.

I wonder what kind of trickery Sam did to get the novel

A normal little girl in her situation just up and died, everything she does is the result of her having Earth knowledge to fall back on.

Fun thing is that most of the things characters from isekai bring to the table are things that were already invented in medieval times, some things were even invented even in ancient times. Its just they didn't work back then because there wasn't ways of massproduce it effectively.
So even if you bring them to isekai, it wouldn't change a shit since it would be the same that when they were invented, they wouldn't be able to mass produce it with their means.

I guess one could argue since isekai worlds have magic it would be possible to massproduce those inventions. But then again, if that was the case someone in that world would have already did.

It's so fucking slow. We don't need to literally watch panel by panel papermaking for an entire volume over the course of weeks. At least give us some character development or interaction with her family and neighbors at the same time.

Nah read The Knowledge by Dartnell, we developed much of our technology in accidental roundabout way with hundreds of years in gaps for seemingly obvious dilemmas.

The method used in Stone is messing around with currents and salt water, which is actually not too complicated since the most primitive batteries were really easy. Alternatively contact a soap maker.

While it's true that technologies and techniques are often discovered in random order (especially before something like a Scientific Method could be established), often isekai still end up having "discoveries" that are completely contrary to reality. Especially when it comes to food.

Iris in Common Sense of a Duke's Daughter discovers chocolate. She doesn't go off to some island or faraway continent and come back with cocoa seed, no no, the plant already existed within her own territory, and she had the revolutionary idea of actually eating it.
In Kuma kuma kuma bear, Potatoes are considered poisonous and no one eats them. Apparently it takes the MC's genius to point out that you can still eat the non-poisonous part just fine, because apparently no one has figured out which parts of a potato are actually edible, despite them being sold in markets.

Nips are retarded.

>Nips are retarded.
Nah, is just bad writting. Instead making the character smart just make everyone around them dumb.
But to be fair that's what the audience swallow. they don't want to read about a character that is smart, they want to read about "themselves" (the average man) outsmarting everyone.
They only give what their audience wants.

>Instead making the character smart
Obligatory

Attached: 1540218297265.png (915x933, 257K)

What? This is one of the few isekai where the isekai part is actually part of the story. Why would a regular girl who can't read and is dying want to make books when she doesn,t even know what books are?

Am I being trolled?

>Am I being trolled?
Well are you lost?

Can't wait for Myne's Book-making autism to be animated.

>she had the revolutionary idea of actually eating it.

But that's our entire history of food, it took people more than a fucking century to know how to eat and prepare things properly.

Because having "Knowledge about our world" is NEVER EVER a necessary part for an isekai. Because its something that when it comes to the story can be easily replaced by the main character being just creative, I don't even say being a genius, but just a creative person that invent things.

The only isekai where isekai part is really necessary is those were both worlds interact someway or when the purpose is to show the differences two complete different worlds. For example 12 kingdoms, Or at the very least isekai is someway necessary when the objective of the main character is to get back home.
In this case it could be changed to its a very creative or intelligent girl that have ideas. Like, lets say Kemono no shouja Erin, for example.

The "other world knowledge" is not by any means necessary for this story.
And by this I don't mean that the story is "bad", what I say is that the "isekai" element is completely unnecesary, is just a shortcut.

wow that's adorable

user, what do you think happens when a famine hits, and the usual sources of food that people are accustomed to become scarce?
From what I know, culinary revolutions don't start when people find out this one thing that's always been around is suddenly edible. They generally start when either new foods (or techniques to prepare them) from abroad become newly accessible.

The reasoning in the story is that Cocao was bitter, so of course people didn't like it, but that's utter bullshit because they still have a nice aroma, and Mesoamericans have been fucking eating and drinking chocolate for thousands of years before some dirty Europoor came across it.

Sickly girl who's never read a word in her life suddenly has this autistic urge to read and make books. Why?

>Sickly girl who's never read a word in her life suddenly has this autistic urge to read and make books. Why?
Because she's curious or some similar bullshit.

Making character an outlandish genius who invents outlandish things one after another is far worse than bringing that knowledge from other words.
And you completely sidestepped the point about the source of her motivation. She's a sickly poor town girl with a body that's actively trying to kill her, who under normal circumstances would never learn to read, much less have contact with books. What would warrant autistic fixation on books if not being from other world?

>Sickly girl who's never read a word in her life suddenly has this autistic urge to read and make books. Why?
That's why I said its a shortcut. Because if not author would have to write sommeting to justify it.

The only other "something" would be that Myne is actually a super genius, which is a hundred times worse.

is it weird I like reading Yea Forumss reaction and break down of isekai and isekai tropes, more than i actually enjoy reading isekai?

Not sure if right thread but, quick question, is this a manga volume or an actual light novel? It says on novelupdates that "I Swear I won't bother you again" has one light novel now. gentosha-comics.net/news/2019/03/19031103.html .

Attached: ISwear.jpg (368x522, 67K)

It's got a WN, a LN and a manga.

But in this case, her ENTIRE MOTIVATION as a character is to reproduce the things she misses most from her original world. It's the whole fucking premise and end goal.

One thing I never get about isekai is their god tier memories, I'm pretty sure if I was summoned to another world I'd forget half of the "modern knowledge" I have.
Are the people who get isekai'd just quizmasters for game shows in japan?

shit, i don't remember half of the things I did last month, much less whatever i learned in hs

I told J-novel club to license Ascendance of a Bookworm a long time ago

You can give credit to me.

The reason I did this was because the Web Novel Chapters are way too fucking long, like seriously long and I doubt I would ever get to red this shit in English.

I'd love to see an isekai where the MC remembers the concepts of whatever modern item they're trying to create, but not the specifics.
>To make steel you add carbon to iron! You add..... fuck I dunno how much... wait what's the best source of carbon in this case....

A series where they become the 'ideas guy' giving proper craftsmen the hints they need to experiment.

I was just thinking of that.
Realistically, any isekai MC with "modern knowledge" would just become a glorified ideas guy, unless he's an expert in a field that doesn't have a huge layer of prerequisite tech, like computer scientist (although in that case, they usually end up making the magic language or whatever "programmable")

Since the characters in those isekais tend to be otaku, aka, slightly autistic superfans of a thing, the idea is that they're so engrossed in the thing they like to do that they have a good memory about that stuff.

That's pretty much Duke's Daughter, but as expected it's not really something that can be a major aspect of the story.

What the potatoes they even used for before if they were in Markets? I can buy people not understanding how to eat them since that's what happened irl with potatoes and many other foods, but if it was sold on the market then somebody went full retard.

Sounds like dr stone, except that the protag has the knowledge when it comes to science, but lacks to skill to really make things himself.

>Sickly girl who's never read a word in her life suddenly has this autistic urge to read and make books. Why?
Maybe the priest showed her the holy bible and taught her to read? There are any number of reasons why somebody might encounter the written word and fall in love with it besides "came from another world".

The church in the story wouldn't let a dirty peasant through the door, much less let them come in contact with luxury goods like books.

Well it can't be any slower than the current translation but there are 100 chapters to catch up too so it might be awhile

Attached: meme team.jpg (1083x1600, 309K)

Bookworm is alright but it got real old pretty quickly. I stopped reading it the moment the after she threw a fit about not getting her way when deciding to join the church

Okay, but presumably that would be written differently if you wanted to come up with a way that a native could have learned to read.

>If you do the entire story differently, this one thing I don't like can be changed too

nope

So is this like early Mushoku Tensei, where the appeal is watching a kid grow up and build relationships while living the slow life? Can that really sustain 25 volumes on its own?

Attached: Scared.png (600x713, 341K)

Why not? The original WN was great. With cleaning it up for the LN it should be better.

Guess what's next on their list?

Attached: D15eCxpWsAAQ8T3.jpg:orig.jpg (860x1229, 272K)

From spoilers that I heard, she ends up going to magic school and there's a war arc, and gods get involved.

hopefully Slave Harem, manga and LN
but considering how they changed elf bride title... i doubt it

Can someone link me where i can read the second part of the manga ? I cant find it but im sure the translator released some chapters.

goddess?

so it turns into Wuxia shit

This one? Nobody is translating part 2 nor part 3.

How many changes have actually been made for the LN?

How many books have you read this year so far, anons? Actual books. Not LNs.

>Actual books.
So yeah, including LNs.

>Shield Hero and Goblin Slayer are both getting live action adaptations
What the fuck is going on?

I just noticed how cramped the title logo is for the English version. In fact if you compare it to the Japanese, it's so cramped that Maine's head is actually blocking part of the title in English.

Attached: unknown.jpg (2265x1600, 1.25M)

>live action
This is why we'e not allowed to have nice things.

Reading JNC's TL so far, I don't really notice any major changes beyond giving a bit more context to her death? Someone want to compare the TL with the WN?

Another generic isekai Oh. Boy.
So whats the "twist" with this one. He can only cast magic if hes eating loli cunny?

The MC is a girl and magic is her cancer.

>He
The twist is that the MC is a little girl with magic cancer.

The MC is the little girl, not Hugh Jackman.

Magic Cancer
Good God.
Fucking Plebeians consume this.

What's the matter user, you don't want to read a slice of life about a sickly little girl whose only love in life is reading and wants to make a book before she dies?

Did you notice how the font is larger or are you just retarded?.

Attached: 1465343970510.jpg (498x441, 74K)

Only the subtitle is larger. The main title and volume title are using a narrow font to try to fit in the box.

It was this slow in the LN though, and the point is to mock other isekai's attempts to "just" introduce otherworldly knowledge into a new world.

So you also don't notice the big gaps at the top and bottom of the title box?

Seriously? This won't go well.

Those look like they are there to try to keep the words at a sane horizontal/vertical ratio. Otherwise if they made it as narrow as this to fit in the horizontal space but also extended it vertically to use all the vertical space, the font would look ludicrously skinny. What's gotten you so upset, user?

You had me going you faggot

>I nonetheless specifically asked to translate it at a rate of one volume per two months-ish, rather than per 3-4 months, due to how long the series is.
Oh, neat. I was expecting to wait a whole year before they caught up to the WN translation, but it should only take about half that now?

It looks like that, translation aside, there have actually some been serious major rewrites from the WN version to the LN version. The entire flow of the text is different from one to the next, and Maine's rambling is heavily edited.

Attached: tl comparison honzuki.png (4040x5648, 3.11M)

I'll wait for the official yen press version. Always better.

>MUH PIRACY
Fuck off. 4channel doesn't support that shit.

I'm not sure what point you're driving at here exactly, but my point is that this isn't being published by Yen Press.

Well, you should read yen press translation anyway.

checked for retardation

It's actually quite sad that even as Yen Press translations can be disasters, some of those disasters are still better than the fan translation alternative (like Danmachi).

She is. Anons are just fishing for replies.

trying to make plums or something.

I'm not actually certain this is an isekai. She died in her previous life and "wakes up" as a 5 year old. I wouldn't say that she was transported to another world, rather that one day she remembers memories of her previous life. So far this is never said in the story (I'm about 100 chapters in) but I wouldn't be surprised if this gets elaborated on later.

As Myne, she was born with the gift of mana however being from a poor peasant family most children with her gift normally die. But she has the will power of an adult women in the body of a child allowing her to push through moments that bring her close to death. There are also times that she uses her mana without realizing it. Its very innocuous when it does happens though so, you wouldn't be blamed for not recognizing the use of mana.

In my opinion when Myne was but a 5 year old child when she was in the throws of mana fever and on the verge of death she might have inadvertently used her mana to reawaken memories of a previous life.

It could be interesting plot point in the future. Can you imagine having a whole life time of memories come back to you when your an adult? She was lucky it happened as a child.

>I'm not actually certain this is an isekai. She died in her previous life and "wakes up" as a 5 year old.
Reincarnation is one of the types of isekai.

I really wish someone would have explained this to me when I was 10 or 15

Attached: 1424756741734.jpg (1283x2157, 969K)

Reincarnation or even memories from some guy in another world is a pretty common thing in isekai.
There is even a story where the MC has three souls: his native soul, the soul of some otaku faggot and the soul of a greedy merchant/samurai.

the chad scientist vs the virgin bookworm

Japanese people have higher IQ. It's expected.

No idea when it was posted on QI, but ch.441 was just aggregated to boxnovel.

Looks interesting than most isekai. Will watch.

The english text doesn't go very well with the cover design. They should enlarge the box or get rid of it altogether.

I bet you like dubs and Treehouse too.

What's the point of paper when nothing is written on it anyway?

Attached: jahy6.png (1471x1018, 308K)

Using it to my wipe my cum.

To make a plane, we dogfight isekai now.

Are you the top image thief?

Both the manga and the LN are licensed.

Her sister is best girl.

Just download it from nyaa if you're such a poorfag.

Just pirate it if you don't want to get an JNC subscription. It isn't any more illegal than reading fan translated manga anyway.

Even fan TL sometimes have paywall.

His uncle got isekai'd into a world where he met a girl who was Tsundere for him. The uncle didn't know that the girl actually liked him, because the concept of a Tsundere hadn't been invented in Japan when he was Isekai'd, and just assumed that she hated him.

Which is retarded.

That's fucking hilarious.

What do you expect from sega fans.

Dreamcast, more like Sega's dream casted away LOL

But even stuff like Love Hina existed back when he was around.

The manga is alright and its kinda depressing because it's obvious the uncle wants to go back but he can't.

What time was this? We could also use Ranma 1/2, Urusei Yatsura and Maison Ikkoku to name a few of Takahashi's manga with tsundere characters.

don't feel bad, later chapters show that uncle is just a dense idiot. ignorance has its limits.

Attached: p1.jpg (650x933, 84K)

for example after elf girl went tsun saying she didn't want the ring, baka uncle actually took it back and sold it

the one with shortstacks

even a jester can class change into a sage or something like that

Maybe it's a different series, was thinking of 'Did You Know That a Playboy Can Change His Job to a Sage?' since it fits, but I can't a manga version of it

manga isn't translated yet, only the novel

That's interesting.

For some reason trying to search with any of these keywords gives me other shit. Especially playboy, it's all shoujo art entries.

Well that explains it.

What's so great about shortstacks?

everything

Yeah, the manga version hasn't been translated.

OH GOD SEND ME TO THIS WORLD NOW

your kid will hate you forever?

So is Maine an unironic literal autist? Not the joking kind, an actual autist.

>daughters: shortstack
>sons: 2 meter giant

Sasuga Shadow-sama

>2 meter
>giant
Sure thing tiny.

I wonder if this fad is never gonna die and it's here to stay, like power levels in shounen or rapey male leads in shoujo.

>lanklet

This will be the last time we see a cool looking old man before he reincarnates into a generic isekai male protag

First time I read this and it seems nice. Overpower MCs work great for comedy.

Would you let her enter your party? her entire equipment need to be custom made and she has penalty to her agility.

Attached: playboy-09.png (691x980, 280K)

I don't really see what an animate pair of boobs is going to bring to the party.

Nope I try to stay true to my min max ideals.

Why would I want some shitty cowtits whore in my party?

Not that shill from a previous thread but I have to agree that Bard Loen is one of the few old man manga done right and that there should be more like it.

There's Mom Tai and Pochi Mom, but is there an isekai where the MC starts off as a dad like in say, Peerless Dad? Where half the focus is on raising the kids in the isekai world and such.

>min height max breast size
isn't that right?

Oh fuck you’re right!

Finished reading yuuri minutes ago, now what?
it was pretty gay btw

Attached: 1546552561174.jpg (500x540, 55K)

There's nothing gay about having a healthy sex life and giving birth to a child. Now go read Half dragon slave or Swamp Girl.

Alex is a lowkey great girl.

I'm on it
>that release frequency
fuck

Go read The Maiden called Hero or Monster

>deadlation
>with only 7 chapters released
>by asyan hobbyist
are you trying to trick me user?

Play witch's house.

Go read Lax Demon and the Apotheosis of a Demon. Useless rabbits are justice.

>go to restaurant with your harem of jade-like beauties to eat.

Then go read other books in that universe. They are about the same quality.
Or read Last Boss. Or Katahane Riku. Or quadrulet sisters.

>nobody bothers you because you're obviously rich and powerful

>YOU DARE?

why does a RPG maker kusoge has a LN based on it?
>shared universe with lax demon
niiiice
I'm still laughing at the hippo

Maybe what these Xianxia protagonists need is to find a girl that can cook.

It's strange but I actually think I've read more cultivation novels that don't have this trope than ones that do. And the ones that do tended to be really fucking bad and made me drop it.

It's not even like I dislike the trope itself or anything, just overall quality. Well then again I've only read like less than 10 including the ones dropped, so I guess my sample size is too small.

I know last boss but where do you people find so much stuff I never heard about? those other two sound neat even

>except a jealous haughty young master

Quad sisters need a faster RAW update rate.

Simply go to novelupdates and search for tags that interest you.

The hippo was the greatest part even now.

>but his experienced old bodyguard immediately recognises that you shouldn't be messed with and restrains him

YOU DARE??!!

WAIT UNTIL MY FATHER HEAR THIS, I SHALL HAVE YOU KOWTOW BEFORE ME.

they always sound like shit with little to no released chapters
now that you're talking maybe it's actually just my taste being shit

What' book is this it sounds great!

I don't read chinese novel, can someone post a chapter where MC and his harem go to a restaurant and meet young master of sect? Any series will do.

Sort results by number of chapters or last update date.

>he screams, from halfway down the street, as the old bodyguard had dragged him out of the restaurant immediately

Literally every chinese LN about cultivation and courting death.

I only know Invincible and it's absolute shit. It also repeats this trope a dozen times or so, almost no variety whatsoever. I'd swear the author made the MC an alcoholic simply so he'd have an excuse for this word padding trope alone.

chinese tensei and other stuffs

>wuxiaworld.com/novel/invincible/inv-chapter-810
Starts here. This is the most recent one that I read, since I try not to get into these anymore.

wtf?
hahahaha

It shows up more in the cultivation novels where the protagonist is nominally a good guy who all the men want to be and all the women want to be with.
The darker and edgier protagonists don't hang out at restaurants or with women enough for it to show up.

"This young man was actually a terrifying master! More powerful than them, two mid-First Order Highgod Realm masters!

All of them had misjudged this young man!"
Lads is there anything better in a cultivation novel, then why someone realizes they fucked with the wrong chinaman
I swear jackie chan made his career off being the underdog and not looking for trouble and it works every time.

It's actually pretty impressive how much was rewritten for the LN here. It feels like they "de-LNified" it if you understand what I mean. The prose no longer revolves around the MC randomly interjecting her thoughts every single line.

>The young master survives

novelupdates.com/series/ostentatious-zhao-yao/
Is this good

I prefer the variants of it. With AtG you got the MC mainly doing it because of chasing skirts with zero fucks given to the consequences despite full well knowing how far up shit creek he will be if he does. With ISSTH you got the MC mainly doing it to surpass himself and mostly treats the young masters as bags of money like the turbo jew that he is. With HN1F in the first half it's actually the MC just bull shitting his way while sweating bullets inside cause he's actually a total weakling while later it's him purposely inducing these events so he can train his MC students through tropes but with the young master treatment to ensure they don't actually suffer at all. With HSSB it's an MC who with total self awareness shows off whenever he can because his path is to be a totally cool high score record breaker guy in everything and he's just vain like that, to the point where his favorite trope is bullying others with his superior status and background, not his actual strength making him kind of a reverse of this trope. With MDDYA since the MC is a snarky woman she ends up always witnessing this shit and ends up ruining it all outing the young masters or the conniving vixens flinging proverbial shit on their faces.

Even Jackie Chan doesn't really adhere to this trope, since Jackie never has babes hanging off him in his movies. He's an underdog, sure, but he's not super powerful or attractive to women, he's just a guy who always pulls through and perseveres and has an ungodly affinity with furniture.

Self-insert for all the autistic user out there.

For me, its because Maine is probably the least self-masturbatory MC (at least in the first arc), without her being deliberately too pathetic to justified some shitty revenge porn.

You're best bet is to read a couple chapters, Chinese cultivation novels tend to be hit or miss depending on what you've already read.

If it got an anime, it doesn't belong in the isekai thread anymore. That's why Shieldhero and Overlord got banished.

I think it's fine to at least talk about them, moreso after the anime ends unless it has an autistic persistent fanbase like Overlord.

Wait, the fuck is wrong with Treehouse?

If isekai only have all girl party membet except MC, it's shit

More like what isn't wrong with Treehouse. Only the biggest newfags would think Treehouse is even anything but shit.

Attached: cuckhouse.png (748x1284, 667K)

Man Yea Forums really has forgotten about Nanasawa. It's been a while since isekai threads last spoke of Noel or Schere. Its a damn pity that Polar Star doesn't get translated, all the reference in Noel's novel is pretty damn intriguing. I wonder if I miss some reference to the Yuusha there.

Attached: Black Cat Fran.jpg (640x910, 180K)

HMMM??

Attached: 1552440083028.png (500x358, 67K)

who else could the mc possibly have along with him though user?

Yes, MC should be a girl as well. Or at least a girl(male).

>tfw you'll never farm potatoes with Schera

Guy is gonna re-assemble his sparring partner(wife) one piece at a time.

Thing is on top of being rapebait Yuuri is also capable of reviving from atomic dissasmblement and has enough firepower to level a country on a whim, though she does have glass bones so she can't really handle that level of force without falling apart whenever she invokes it.

Alex is love, Alex is life.

Am I cute at least?

uh-oh

Evandel will save the day!

Yea I guess, so long as you weren't cursed to be an invalid for the rest of your life, and could actually get better.

I don't know. Her beasts and a bunch of knights struggled where Sahyuk destroyed a fuckton of monsters with one barrage and Sahyuk is somewhere around the middle in terms of powerlevels right now. I do want some badass Evandel moments though.

Give it to me straight, does the lolibaba vampire stab /our/boy Thales in the back?

>expectations

That's beyond sad.

Wow, I had forgotten to check up on this, it was super cute for the 8 manga chapters or whatever it had

Thanks BK anons for using spoiler tags, much appreciated.

don't bother, it's has NTR

I wasn't aware she even had love interests other than books

is this some elaborate ruse?

The books betrayed her

Nice to see hard work paying off.

>‘Tastes like chicken. Crispy, too.’

Motherfucker almost made me spill my drink.

>retarded cunt gets reincarnated as the heroine starts being rude to random people and doesn't understand why things aren't immediately going her way after 5 seconds

It's always hilarious to watch a crazy person in action, unless you're the one stuck dealing with them, then it's less funny.

>what is the appeal of it?
It's comfy as fuck. Underpowered MC just wants to read books all day every day, but they don't really exist outside of some very limited and inaccessible places, she almost dies all the time, magic doesn't seem OP or ubiquitous yet, and if she makes even the slightest mistake someone with actual power will notice and enslave her for the rest of her life.
It's great, and updates don't come nearly often enough.
My main concern is that the anime will end up being 3DCGshit because that's the new and depressing trend.

Attached: 111539492725876x125.png (125x125, 18K)

>and if she makes even the slightest mistake someone with actual power will notice and enslave her for the rest of her life.
Why would anyone waste the time to enslave a frail loli

She's got a hilarious amount of magic potential due to keeping the bite suppressed by sheer willpower for so many years. If any noble figures out what she's capable of, they'll do pretty much anything to bring her under their control.

And that's not even counting the economic stuff.

Just finish current translations of Holy Sword and Amber Sword. Can anyone recommend me webnovels that are similar to the two? Or anything that just have MCs that are simply based and don’t let others shit on then without retaliation

Reverend Insanity if you haven't read it yet.

Oh and Spirit Blade Mountain.

>Committing to this long ass fucking boring as shit series
Seems like a bit of a gamble

the webnovel is max comfy. need more chapters

>temple prostitution
recent chapters?

Already read RI but I’ll try Spirit Blade

Wang Lu and Wang Wu give absolutely no fucks and it's great.

it's heavily implied to be one of the only ways for orphan girls to get out of the death hovel

Nice try. You have intentionally concealed what series is at #1, but that won't fly with me.

Attached: OriconNews1.jpg (983x766, 264K)

>281-283 spoilers
what the actual fuck? Looks like the author really wants to rush an ending. oh well, let's hope the arc is gonna be long and engaging.

Too bad she got schizophrenia.

About what I expect from this story.

The novel should be ending soon. That's what happens when an author is suffering from writer's block and your readers just start shitting all over you.

>death march
Nice

Bookworm is ending soon?

Why is Bookworm considered a shoujo, and why is Yea Forums so interested in a shoujo?

Attached: 1502225771883.jpg (580x773, 49K)

it's TNE I guess

? we're all little girls, why wouldn't we be interested in shoujo?

>“Woyalty will definitewy be wewarded.”
Kill me, I can't take her seriously.

>anime will end up being 3DCGshit
Well the studio is Aija-Do, which did Isekai Maou last year. Isekai Maou had zero CG shit, so you may be pleasantly surprised.

That was the point of my not a light novel at all comment. Death March is listed in both categories for whatever reason. Kage isn't.

The author put it on hiatus too.

>That was the point of my not a light novel at all comment. Death March is listed in both categories for whatever reason. Kage isn't.
Then that's just Oricon being weird.

>Just want more MCs to actually have the spirit of adventure and just have a grand old time like in a lot of the old anime shows
> Instead we get harem collecting, onions sauce and mayo and nonsensical plots that requires the mc to bend over backwards towards everyone he meets
Probably why I like Reverend Insanity and Amber Sword. Their just so refreshing after getting so burned out from cookie cutter isekai stories

>Or anything that just have MCs that are simply based and don’t let others shit on then without retaliation
You mean chink murder hobos?

Brendel is collecting a harem though.

chinks write the best isekai stories desu.

Yeah, but he does it by being a badass motherfucker that survives cakes and ladders being thrown at him while holding inspirational speeches and not by being "nice".

I ship them.

>boxnovel
Plebs.

And what do you use? QIU?

>heroine's magic strong, villainess' magic weak

I haven't seen rewrites this heavy since Genjitsushugi Yuusha.

This page is perfect.

Gottem.

Girl's kinda cute but not cute enough to seem like otaku-bait. Strikes me like this is genuinely isekai for women

>MC trains the villainess
>vilainess makes short work of the heroine

Boxnovel obviously, what a dumb question.

what does cultivation even mean?

Meditating and popping pills in order to become closer to heaven and earth to surpass human limits and become immortal and eternal.

oh i see

cul·ti·va·tion
/ˌkəltəˈvāSH(ə)n/
noun
noun: cultivation; plural noun: cultivations

1.
the action of cultivating land, or the state of being cultivated.
"the cultivation of crops"
synonyms: growing, raising, rearing, farming, culture; More
planting, sowing
"the cultivation of arable crops"
agriculture, agronomy, horticulture, husbandry;
tillage
"the reclamation of land for cultivation"
2.
the process of trying to acquire or develop a quality or skill.
"the cultivation of good staff–management relations"
synonyms: improvement, bettering; More

so this might be a dumb question, it's just a word for training martial skill?

Where's the stopper at the bar?

leveling up, see tantra

more like it's for superhuman skill

in xianxia, it roughly means to cultivate one's mind, body, and soul, and in so doing, attain the eternal
basically it's meditating really hard about the meaning of everything and all existence paired with extreme drug use and increasingly complex martial arts
this generally ends up tricking the universe and yourself into believing you're literally greater than everything everywhere and that you transcend the laws of existence
meaning you never die of natural causes like aging and can do anything

it's chink magic and martial arts cranked up to 999/10

dragonball is loosely based on chink stuff originally, so just think of it as increasing your power level

Drinking mercury till you either die or become a god.

applicable and surprisingly accurate

Attached: 1511089702666.jpg (2518x1024, 262K)

It's kind of a hassle to navigate and I'm already using adblock. Does it aggregate faster than boxnovel or something?

on a scale of fuck you to fuck yeah
how much interest you have in steampunk isekai?

QSH never cultivated shit, the most he ever did regarding supernatural stuff besides drinking mercury was worship some ancient predecessor of Asura It's actually Shiyuu from Kingdom.

Dragonball is Wuxia, not Xuanhuan crap.
We're not reading Lord of the Mysteries.

impossible to depict in written form

>Be a random guy
>Some rich guy asks you to wear his clothes and escort a jade like beauty to the restaurant
>Nobody tries to mess with you as they see all the gold you wear and all the gems your girl wears
>Except for that haughty young master
>His servant tries to stop him, but he tries to take her away by force
>You defeat him and the girl you are with falls in love with you
>You start courting death because he belonged to a Crescent Moon sect
>You defeat them and the beauty you save falls in love with you too
>*You might've have defeated us, but all you did was attract the vengeance from the Half Moon sect
>Get repeatedly ambushed
>Their assassin falls in love with you and leads you to their hideout
>You defeat them
>*It cannot be, are you the master from the prophecy? You might have defeated us, but now the Full Moon sect will kill you*
>A select few of the strongest guys go after you
>You defeat them
>*You are prophecy after all. But you too late, our master Eclipse is already on his way to ultimate power.*
>The boss attacks you

>That girl is actually in love with you for real and betrays him
>You defeat the last boss
>Go to a restaurant as a master with the ultimate cultivation power and a whole harem of jade like beauties

I have yet to see one that was enjoyable or well done

>stopper
never going to make it

>steampunk
Steampunk as a setting seems fine at a glance but I've never met anyone that was into steampunk that wasn't a complete twat. Something about it just attracts the cringiest douchebags imaginable.

well.. fuck, guess it is not a good idea then
back to the vrmmo stuff then

>Some rich guy asks you to wear his clothes and escort a jade like beauty to the restaurant
Does this never come up again?

>Not doing it at the squat rack
>the bar has no that thingy thing that stopped the weight to slid at your direction
>if it was some sort of fixed weight bar, who the hell buy fixed weight bar

>steampunk
how are you going to glue a bunch of brass bits and gauges onto a written medium?

Flow effort photoshops and embedded images.

>Nobody tries to mess with you as they see all the gold you wear and all the gems your girl wears
>not divinity, qi, divine beast (God's Galaxy Divine Phoenix or Demon Realm White Tiger) or magic stone.

>the bar has no that thingy thing that stopped the weight to slid at your direction
won't ever slide if you keep it level

That rich guy is actually the real prophecy that was too lazy and hedonistic to fight by himself. So he just dumped the responsibilty.

You can try magitech. Mana instead of steam, spirits instead of coal, etc. Variety.

a slight misbalance and you will see what will happen.

Also he doesn't even rest the bar at his shoulder, though this just mean he's strong enough to hold the barbell like that.

there's no harm in trying something, just be aware that it will be not-insignificantly harder to pull off than a generic "swords and magic" setting

nearly every example I've read has pretty much gone the route of "everything works the same as a petrol-fueled society, but with steam instead!" and that doesn't fucking jive
societal structure, political goals, geopolitical agendas, day to day life, and everything else that is usually handwaved away actually _matters_ if you're going to try steampunk

so knock yourself out user, it can't hurt

He could definitely get away with steampunk if he actually knows how tech stuff of the time worked. People mainly have to write it as scifi of the late-19th century. The main problem is most people who write that kind of stuff have no idea how mechanical or electrical anything works.

>Wuxia
Is the peak of chinese Light Novels, but it's not unfair to compare wuxia to harem shit.
Chu Liuxiang is pretty much chinese James Bond and goes around with a harem of women. and he was written by gu long.

It's the original aggregator. And yeah, it updates almost instantly.
Also, the site has no ads, it's all groups of "pastebins".

Shit's magical if you haven't noticed.

it feels like the people into steampunk are mostly just those who care more about faux victorian fashion with gears glued on than steam power

i google steampunk and all i get are punch of pictures of fedora tippers, but wearing tophats with goggles instead.

I mean, what else is there to it besides the dumb aesthetic?

>The kimono had the smell of her feminine odor, it was giving off a delicate and sweet smell. Sometimes, Lily bathed not because she was dirty, but rather because she felt that her body odor was gradually getting stronger. She would be embarrassed if a passerby somehow smelled it by chance, and it would also bring about some inconveniences.
>After all, she herself knew that it was a very alluring smell.
Does it count as narcissism if your own BO makes you horny?

Attached: Demon-Sword-Maiden_new.jpg (550x678, 133K)

it might be neat to see how far steam technology could go in fantasy world without fossil fuels since god populated the planet far to recently for there to be any deposits

The nostalgia for the century old sci fi that had flying battleships with coal powered propellers and detectives and villains like Holmes and Moriarty. Kinda like in Last Exile, but not in space.

I know. I used to use it. It's a hassle to navigate. I mentioned the adblock to mean 'boxnovel doesn't have usability downsides.' Or does boxnovvel not have adds? I thought it did.

>bathes to keep sex appeal low
amazing.

around where is this in the wn?

Man, it's kinda fucked up how the MC wakes up in his real world every time he dies, just to jump out of a window again. What will he do once his other leg is gone aswell?

Attached: R3.jpg (1654x2339, 581K)

>hassle to navigate
it's literally one page with a bunch of links under each story
you fucking ctrl-f and go
how is that a hassle!?

or are you one of those mobile-only faggots that need to be purged because you fuck up everything

the allure of a well done steampunk is the idea that chivalry and personal ability still matters and can cause a significant impact in the world, because everything isn't fully industrialized to perfection yet

the machinery that does exist is expensive, dirty, difficult to maintain, and limited in functionality
there's still a sense of the romance of pre-industrial times where machineguns and the atom bomb haven't reduced warfare to a sheer numbers game, and no internet means society at large hasn't become lazy and jaded for the most part
it's difficult to describe adequately with my limited vocabulary

>kind of like last exile
LE is a great example of good steampunk that hits all the right notes, it only goes of the rails in the last episode, and S2 never fucking happened

Steam machines were all powered by fossil fuels at their apex. Fuel oil and coal were the main things. In fact, the stuff made for liquid fueled steam engines is the tech that allowed internal combustion to become possible later.

>a hassle to navigate
You mean pic related?

Attached: thisone.png (1170x636, 41K)

>mobile-only faggots
Not him, but the goddess site is shit in mobile. Doesn't even let you post.

I'm on desktop right now, but I do prefer reading on mobile.

I think for some reason isekai with female MCs are on average more interesting than the male MC ones, so if they start to adapt more of them, it's definitely good news. Otome isekai needs to replace those seasonal garbage otome game adaptations.

What's with the head tilt?

Attached: T3.png (1114x1600, 685K)

What I find funny is the scifi of that time was all about electricity. It was the magic that solved all power problems for everything. And they were 100% right. It's one reason everyone leap with both feet into the atomic age a few decades later. It was almost like all the magic free power stuff written at the turn of the century.

Some bored J-novels employee probably did it in 5 seconds. Don't expect too much .

>must be for women
What does he mean by this?

So is this thread even about bookworm loli anymore?

Attached: 1523866739333.png (520x611, 170K)

It's not interesting enough, plus thread's almost over.

Not much to discuss since translations are dead until JNC, people already discussed the PV before and until a moonspeaker rises up, it's dead, jim.
>moonspeaker

hijacked by isekai gang

Any isekai thread other than those currently airing will fall down, vicitin go isekaigen
only mods can stop the onslaught

> mc killed small girl and taken her body
Nice

talked to the death already

Of course not. It was parasitized by the isekai general ~100 posts in when the previous one got archived. This is the price of including 'isekai' in the OP in a thread that isn't for a current season anime. OP knew what they were getting into.

>implying she died and didn't just get isekai'd to mc's original body in modern japan
You now realize that the MC's original body didn't actually die and didn't get crushed by books.

So why not just let this thread die and make a separate thread instead of hijacking this one?

Are we getting Kim today?

Stone age isekai when?

Tacit agreement with the mods. If we made our own thread they would kill it since they don't think we belong on Yea Forums.
But Yea Forums hates us more than Yea Forums and /jp/ has an alien board culture, so this is the board we're least unaccepted on.

That's okay I mainly just wanted to put the image in the appropriate folder.

dr.stone?

The thing is it didn't even really have anything to do with NTR. He just assumed his wife was cheating in a single panel and it became irrelevant afterwards.

So Yea Forums is to Yea Forums what Yea Forums is to Yea Forums?

What about /vg/? Just pick a vidya that has isekai theme and latch on that.

>Yea Forums - Anime & Manga
I don't see light novels there.

this is why we need /ag/

a ln is just a manga with more words and less pictures

>we
Fuck off.

no such thing.

though we 'may' get a dedicated board if someone from isekaigen hit it big, like getting hollywood adaptation.

>hollywood adaptation
That'd just give mods an excuse to push this threads to Yea Forums. Also, again
>we

it could be,convince me to read it

given how many manga and anime adaptions of LNs there are now, i'd say the lack of explicit acceptance on the board mostly stems from it being created before LNs got popularized in the west.

It's good.

So a Togashi manga?

So like Burikko? Though there it led to a slightly weird outcome of a mental loli landing herself an unaware highschool bf.

Holy shit fuck off that is the last thing """we"" would need.
I am so fucking sick of Hollywood adaptations.

She can use the memories of the body in the same way the current Myne can use the body's memories.

>I'm Really a Superstar
Does this count as isekai? It's chinkshit, but it has the parallel world thingy, and even has the game elements

I can't remember whether I liked this or not because it has been so long since the translations died. Did I like it Yea Forums?

So is the order of power
>light novel -> manga -> anime -> live action

You probably liked the first few chapters then drudged through part of the middle out of sunk-cost fallacy.
That's how it usually goes.

You just know how fucked up some people are when they spend so much time on Yea Forums they not only use 'we' but also think in terms of pros/cons strictly based on the cause and effects dealt to the boards/threads instead of the actual shit being discussed. It's not even putting the wagon before the horse, it's having the horse kick the wagon off the road and riding off into the sunset looking for windmills to yell at.

tfw moot saved vns from being shutdown on Yea Forums but didn't have the foresight to save light novels on Yea Forums or maybe he didn't think people would be so autistic. doesn't matter much though with the current trend of nearly every light novel getting anime and manga adaptations it's just a matter of time.

there's should be an otome WN where MC reincarnated in rom-com fantasy world as the worst girl and villainess.

>live action
are they really popular in japan, because they keep making them for some reason

Attached: disgust.png (425x421, 142K)

Yes.

How could you like, the bitch read books for life and is a dumb whore when she gets isekai'd, HOW? how can't she figure out in the first glance she was in a medieval setting? why she acts like a retard when she went to the city?
Just dumb shit.

Attached: 1500407152915.jpg (600x456, 29K)

Japanese normalfags cutoff is in-between anime and live action. As an author, you'd be hitting it big if it reached live action for normalfag audience cash.

There's even a live-action of Sumire 16, so yes.

this is the saving grace, thank god for the isekai boom

Okay I'll read it.

Not really, compare nip live action movies to say, burger capeshit movies. The latter is far more extreme, to the point where it carries the capeshit and comic book industry single handed, whereas One Piece can rely strictly on manga sales and make more than half the comic book industry in America when discounting movies.

Normalfags like live action, simple as that.

nobunaga no chef get 2 season of live action drama despite it changing so much from source material and bad adaptation no matter how you look at it (giving main character catchphrase, now Natsu stay with Ken through all show, and that awful last episode during season 1)

>why she acts like a retard when she went to the city
>posts machi

She reads books with words, not pictures.

Would you watch a book loli live adaptation?

It's easier to market the series to normalfags with those adaptations.
The west is apparently catching on, considering all the live action anime adaptations we have been getting lately. and it seems to be working. All the normies I know don't want anything to do with anime and yet when that shitty Death Note movie came out even the normiest guys I knew were talking about it.

Thinking about starting my 3D model of Arrogantz. We haven't seen much of the Manga version, but it seems to have better proportions though the same basic details as the LN version. Biggest difference I don't like is the flatter head and less cool visor.

But that might change like how Manga Olivia looked more like her LN counterpart in Chapter 1 and kind of deviated more later. So what do you guys think? LN version now or wait on the manga duel (which will likely be May)

>child actor that grow up fast

No because IRL little girls are gross.

delet

I'd wait till we get a clear view of the manga version.

why don't you delete cum from my ballsacks?

Netflix have an attitude where they'll try anything to get people to watch and it's working honestly. but the sad part is the nips actually have well received and liked death note live adaptations. probably because the plot of death note plays out more like an action thriller murder mystery, with minimal supernatural influence.

Bookworm looks like it'd be the biggest hassle to create a live action for just for how many child actors you need for it, even more than Erased.

Imagine how sad the author's life must be.

>nonexistent
cannot delet

I don't think I could handle live action zetsubou.

t. young master

I wish they stuck to the original plot or at least didn't shat on the charactes' original personalities in the Netflix version.
What a perfect waste of a Dafoe Ryuk.

Has there even been a single live action isekai?

How long till we get the chink version of "reincarnated as a villainess during her public trial"?
Something like "I Reincarnated as a Young Master Right After He Dared".

any young master chink that gets isekai'd would never dare to not dare

Chink otome has existed centuries ago user, just without the vidya. Why do you think like 30-50% of QI shit is all about some vixen or princess or whatever chick going back in time and transmigrating into some concubine/princess body and using their skills to villainess it up? Cause they've been doing it way longer than Japan has.

Cale
it sucks though

Don't forget the black bellied male lead who's entire existence revolves around harassing the protagonist until she falls in love with him.

Post your favourite isekai

Attached: Gullivers_travels.jpg (602x500, 75K)

Yea it's a shame they had a winning formula that already worked countless times before, but they decided to just go with their own original screenplay and basically use the characters names and the book.
They are planning to do a sequel so there's hope of a redemption arc but i don't know how you could fix character traits.
could have been a great adaption instead people tell you to look at literally any other version of the series.

THERE ARE FIVE WORLDS

The best live action adaptation will forever be GTO.

Young Master Holy Shield is perfectly fine though.

I will watch it but I also doubt they could do anything to fix it.
They fucked up by turning Light into an angsty, retarded loser who gets manipulated by some Stacy and L into an angry nigger who fucks up all the time.

The Lazy King, Jashin Average and Lax Demon.

Damn, this guy got ripped.

Attached: N5.png (1114x1600, 732K)

Well, that's one way to get isekai'd.

Attached: N8.png (1114x1600, 763K)

That wasn't even the craziest part. He actually cultivated.

TOTALLY INCOSPICIOUS

I started reading this today, I think it's pretty funny. there's something really endearing how about autistic and clueless he is.

Attached: Tuxedo-mask-sailor-moon-25225153-498-370.gif (498x370, 150K)

I feel less disappointed with how it's been going than I do with Hajin.
>it sucks though
Where do you think we are?

>The Lazy King
I honestly forgot it was isekai.

>>I honestly forgot it was isekai.
Just like the MC. Until Christmas that is.

Girl anime protagonists always strike that balance between looking kind of unremarkable but still cute enough to make any eventual romance believable

He's not so ripped during the magic research so I would chalk that up to unreliable narration.

Same. It's just a shame the manga doesn't have much yet. Though I guess that means there's not much to flip through before you get into new material in the WN.

Has there been an isekai that didn't start being an isekai until after 1/3 the way through the story where you actually know who the original MC was? 1/2?

Attached: 1551739696048.png (462x347, 193K)

What happened to his face?

When was the last time we had an uncute female protagonist?

He's the understudy to a fat bald man.

Did you not pay attention? He lost all his weight due to meditating under the waterfall non-stop.

I think the unreliable narrator is him saying he was hiding the fact he was getting stronger, when everyone can easily see he's swole. He probably stopped working out so hard when he realizes muscles don't make you bulletproof or nuke proof

He erased it in order to become more inconspicuous

They could have chose a better font

Wait you mean like, an isekai that spends a good portion of its time just following the character doing ordinary stuff before starting the plot?
I don't think so user, I think most people would find the pacing of a story like that slow.
It's an interesting idea though, but i think most authors aren't willing to dedicating the time to fleshing out the original world or having you see the character interact with loved ones or co workers.
it's usually hi my name is x, I do y for a living and I feel like z, then a truck sends me to another world.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crowned_republic

yes

Attached: Coraline.jpg (220x332, 16K)

Your and My Asylum seeds a lot of the MC's background into each chapter's intro but it's really just there to act as a foil to the chapter and the intros don't form a coherent story.
Also the author dropped that series and it's full of footfaggotry so maybe don't read it.

>I think most people would find the pacing of a story like that slow.
There are people finding the pacing of a story post-isekai slow in this thread right now like OP's pic.

I don't know any story that is focused on that but there are many stories with mini-arcs where the MC is sent to a fantasy world, like the current Tsugumomo arc.

I've been writing one where a guy showing up from another world about halfway through triggers a holy war among the locals to reform their ancient empire on their dying world and raise an army large enough to invade earth for their new home. The MC is just a regular servant of the noble class of the main old state and was born there. I find it interesting you have so many isekai where people are so astounded by earth, but rarely do you have them look to our own world with envious eyes, or if they do, they do not realize the sheer scale of such a task, or are woefully inadequate technologically.

Is Neverwhere an isekai?

That series was so fucking weird.
I liked how the alternate world was more original than most fantasy worlds and had unique details like the extra finger, weird eyes or dick bones but the plot itself and the MC were awful.
I laughed everytime the faggot MC tried to paint his stupid highschool rivalry as some super complex war of intrigue and betrayal.

Almost certainly.

Demon's Evolution Catalog spends like 5~ chapters on the dude's isekai life before isekaing him a second time as a fuccboi demon that every other demon in hell wants to fuck.

Is this thread going to get isekai'd soon?

No, only good threads get isekaid.

I don't remember the last time Yea Forums had a good thread.

>the plot itself [was] awful.
It seems like it was building up to a confrontation with that poison guy. All the forshadowing that he was the one who screwed over the earl in the past.
No idea how is was supposed to get their though. The arcs were so disjointed. Even arcs 3 and 4 which directly tied into each other.

Guys.... Guys... what if.... hear me out now....... what if.......
an isekai...... where the MC never died, and once the isekai journey ends, MC gets sent back to his/her original body in the exact same point in time they were at when they got isekai'd.

Key of Sunken Moon. Translations never ever.

Why did the finger stab through the guy who organized the raid in the first place? I understand he's quite the red-shirt designated-to-die dumb ass? Trying to figure out if Aurora-finger is out of her mind from being a finger, or if she nonchalantly kills people.

How many isekais ended for reasons besides cancellations or authors no longer giving a fuck about the series?

Attached: 1504814550758.png (408x436, 40K)

I don't know but I'm pretty sure all those scenes with the MC crossdressing and giving foot massages had nothing to do with it.

Black Healer. Though at this rate she'll be spending thousands of years in another world with her husbando.

So are you asking how many isekai had a proper end or what?

>Toudou Haruhiko is a obese NEET who got summoned to a different world when he was about to get hit by a truck. Unfortunately the summoning system malfunctioned due to exceeding the weight-limit and he was sent back to his world with the summoner Princess Shella.
>He retained some Lv.1 skills, but one skill's level got corrupted into Infinity. So he got a powerful version of the skill Judgement, embodied as the cute girl Infinity-chan.
>She tells them, that Shella can return to her homeworld, if he loses some weight, so that she can re-cast summoning to open a portal.

Isn't that almost the same as those fat elves trying to lose weight?
