Honestly, K-On season 2 was the best second season I witnessed in any anime.

Not really. Yamada Naoko, the creator of K-On, is ashamed of making something so cartoonish and childish back then. Now she is up to real anime kino, something that can compare to real cinema. Keep in mind, Kyoani also hates K-On and pretends it never existed. They never put K-On characters on their collage images.
