Jotaro used Star Platinum's lighting his cig and bringing him juice so that D'arby gets scared of it's speed and thus think he underestimated him.
After that D'arby was rightfully scared of it's speed and started to doubt even more what Jojo's hand is. That made him crack.

Not sure why everyone wanted to see Young Joseph vs Alessi. The appeal of young Joseph was how he beat opponents much stronger than him by outsmarting them. Joseph could easily just pummel Alessi. Young Jotaro Ora rushing Alessi was the only part of the fight i liked even tho it does make Jotaro seem to op

OVA is animated miles better, but it doesn’t really have the essence/soul of actual Jojo. It’s just not bizarre/fun enough both in terms of writing and style.
Young Joseph was retarded too, most of the time his pre-laid plans didn’t work and he had to just make shit up on the fly that luckily just worked.
The Darby game was just one where his luck actually faltered.
The biggest blueballs in manga of all time is literally fighting a guy who can make people younger but we didn't get to see Old Joseph become Young Joseph again for even a few minutes. Yeah yeah, Jotaro's the protagonist for this part, can't let him get outshined, whatever. Some things are just too good to pass up.
