Because everyone in the Fifth War is an idiot. All the professionals died off. The Fifth War is fought by literal children and irregular Masters. The ONLY proper Master is Kotomine, and he's a zombie.

Nobody really knew the next HGW would start so soon (except for the Einzberns, Zouken and Kirei). Rin only decoded the last will of her father with instructions on what a HGW even is only a day before performing the summoning.

But Rin is canonically above every master from 4th grail war and a master magi. Kuzuki is on par with shit like Bazett who on other hand mops the floor with 4th war Kerry. Shirou could solo 4th war masters during mid route. Sakura is basically a world ending event if something presses her buttons. Ilya has magiclite magecraft and is miles above everyone previously mentioned.

Because Rin said it in the prologue that even Clock Tower has very few catalysts to summon a Servant with. I doubt they have anything to summon a Saber with.

Rin is a Magus who isn't professionally (i.e. Clock Tower) trained. Kuzuki isn't even a magician, he's a martial arts assassin.

Shirou is a self-taught magus with a highly-idiosyncratic ability, and he knows literally one spell. Sakura is an abused girl subject to hideous abuses. Ilya is a homunculus.

These are all irregular Masters. Your archetypical master is a well-trained Magus who knows what the fuck he's doing.

I thought it was because Rin is broke during the HGW, the Tohsaka family didn't have anything to it's name except the house and whatever magical items were in it.

Yet Shirous one spell is vastly stronger and more unique than anything else in clock tower. Ilya being homunculus allows heracles to fuck shit up without problems etc.

Sure, they fuck up but they still wipe the floor with every "professional" magi in Nasuverse. The split in powerlevels is too big. Ie Rin is top 100 magi per wog, Ilya is above that and Shirou/Bazett/Kuzuki/Taiga all kill servants

Archer is a cool ass servant though.

Shirou only killed gilgamesh because UBW is a direct counter to gate of babylon. Bazett basically savescummed and took her countless tries until she succeeded. Kuzuki was pumped up by caster and played against saber's instinct skill which is half the reason she's so good at combat.

Is factually true since Emiya Shirou is only one who has it, ever. Magecraft is passed down but Shirous reality bending is rarer than Shikis eyes. Sure. it might not be as potent but its still better than 99% of the shit mages pull out of their ass

The Tohsaka money is dire straits. The best Rin could do is prepare all the non-whale bits like timing her summon perfectly(and screwed that one up too because she forgot that daddy was a prankster).

The summoning of Gilgamesh was truly the pinnacle of the Tohsaka MONEY IS POWER legacy, even if Tokiomi sucked at handling it.
EMIYA's summoning is the proof of the Tohsaka money decline, a Faker that has to rely on skills instead of money.

Nah no way. Zelretch literally did defeat Crimson Moon with Kaleidoscope. For Aoko, the 1st and 5th > 2nd, 3rd and 4th so she is even stronger than Zelretch

Archer's catalyst probably overrides all other catalysts so it wouldn't have made a difference.

In the Clock Tower they just teach you to be an entitled asshole. If anything, Rin lucked out by not being trained there.

What would be a good use of a command spell if you end up in an Rin-Archer situation and don't know the identity of your servant? Assuming you don't need to save one command spell to make them suicide, but also don't want to destroy relations with them because that's risky as hell.
Something like "do not lie to me directly or by omission" should be a good start if you've got a shady servant
