Bokuben landing a nice 5th place. Is that the beginning of the sensei arc? Yuuna is also at a good place, the best its been since several issues. Nice! Chainsawman and David-kun should avoid the axe. They're pretty good.
>Niggercloverfag in charge of calling out shit taste Kill yourself
Parker Collins
Moeyuki part time chapter is better than the usual mid rank. Guess nips want him to become teacher
Isaac Wright
>retarded /pol/tard hates Black Clover wtf I love Black Clover now
Hunter Jenkins
>2 ( 2.71 ) Kimetsu no Yaiba I still find it weird that Kimetsu no Yaiba's popularity is entirely contained in Japan. Can't remember the last time a WSJ series with such consistent high rank is this unknown in the west, and a battle shounen at that.
>1 ( 214 ) My Hero Academia HOLY SHIT SOMEONE FUCKING FIRE THIS HEAD EDITOR This garbage chapter getting anywhere but bottom shows how he's hiding the bad rankings.
Kinda Western fan's like Inuyasha and that anime was really Japanese
Christopher Thomas
So you're saying its being super pushed?
Landon Butler
>Jimoto ga Olympics Bait I hate this
David Perez
It's the opposite. >Dr. Stone is unranked >Suddenly, the first place is actually popular manga and not sub 100k seller Really makes you think.
Ryder James
Have nips ever complained about power-ups in manga? I get the impression that they like them
Hudson Brooks
>Chainsaw Man (CP) We made it bros. Chainsaw Man is a success story.
Brayden Gomez
>11 ( 296 ) Shokugeki no Sōma >12 ( 6 ) Ne0;Lation >13 ( 5 ) Gokutei Higuma begone already all of you
Daniel Lewis
I don't know why I'm starting to think only Yea Forums hated it
Ayden Hughes
We did it Yuragi bros. Also thank god Souma will get the axe.
Joseph Kelly
>fantasy show with monsters and waifu MC pandering to nostalgiafags You could have figured it out for yourself man.
Brayden Smith
>mha at the top push
Henry Wood
are there any threads for jump square like this?
Nolan King
>Japan knows Nariyuki is the best girl Based
Noah Peterson
Chainsaw man moving out of axed territory, and Yunna that high? Damn.
Juan Lewis
Who the fuck cares about jump square.
Dominic Gonzalez
Kimetsu is two full year older than Jujutsu and has much higher ranks. The fact that Kimetsu almost has the same level of name recognition as a one year old manga really speaks for itself.
Henry Peterson
>3 ( 96 ) Bokutachi wa Benkyō ga Dekinai based Uruka
Charles Hall
>5 ( 144 ) Yuragi-sō no Yūna-san Oh boy, this is basically when the Chisaki arc starts. I wonder how it's going to rank.
Josiah Johnson
I want Soma to be axed but then I don't want to because I then I won't see any more of the dumb shit Tsukuda pulls out of his ass. At the same time it hurts seeing how far my favorite series had fallen.
Jace Davis
Maybe Nurarihyon was? At minimum it was popular in Japan, especially at it's height, while mostly ignored in the west outside of "Now I've lost it" memes.
Tyler Russell
>1 ( 214 ) My Hero Academia >more than 1 year without getting 1st place >achieve the position with one of the absolutely worst chapters of the entire series on one of the worst arcs in battle shonen history Yikes. The head editor should have had at least some decency and waited until destro's chapter.
I don't even like black clover that much, it's just a cool looking cover
Easton Martinez
Wasn't that a darker than black meme
Easton Carter
It's almost like shounen fans love retarded powerups or something
Nolan Clark
Yeah, but it was combined with Tsurara's ass, and that's what got posted all the time.
Caleb Evans
>1 ( 214 ) My Hero Academia cringe
Alexander Ortiz
I think anime play a huge role in popularity in the west. Some people start from anime first then read manga. and many are anime only fan. also it's ancient Japan.
Carson Martin
What would that have to do with how popular it was? And I did watch and read it, down to the OVA where you see Tsurara's moms tits and the final chapter where Tsurara and Rikuo almost kiss after all the boxes fall on them.
people who read things in jump square, shueisha they pay for it afterall
Josiah Brooks
Pls be Ne0
Daniel Thompson
Chainsaw is safe. Ne0 and Higuma are dead for sure. David is probably still okay for a while. Two new ones we can't say yet
Lincoln Foster
ok. I use wrong wording. I mean I think for manga something more modern setting tend to be more popular.
Andrew Wright
David should get it soon. Its sales are abysmal even for a gag manga. I don't understand how can anyone say something like >David is probably still okay for a while.
Jace White
>implying Kimetsu doesn't pander to nostalgiafags >implying it doesn't have hideous monsters and cute waifu though the cute girls are not guaranteed to live till the end
I want Yui to last three volumes at least. Can't see it last past 100 chapter though.
Jace Morris
Three volumes will probably happen easy, it's a returning author with a decent success, they get more leeway. More than that is up in the air, however
Ryder Rogers
Happy for the fans I guess but Chainsaw Man is the most unremarkable successful manga in Jump.
Charles Gutierrez
>David > Neo = Higuma >I say that because there are more important things to axe. But what even makes you guys think so? David is OLDER and still performs like total shit. It had a chance to recover, but didn't. And there's another unaxeble manga for that sweet gag spot. Isn't it the prime axe target?
Nolan Murphy
jimoto ga japan proves you wrong it is shit but gets anime
William Richardson
Japan is niche as fuck. The fact that the two of them have both been running together all this time is proof enough for you that they never intended for it to carry gags in Jump by itself. David isn't performing, sure, but when it gets axed it will be because they have a new comedy, not yet another battle shonen
Jack Edwards
>Government funded anime
Ryder Sanchez
It needs to work on its humor in my opinion. Nisekoi was pretty enjoyable at the start because it was funny. Yui wants to be an action romcom but doesn't have the comedy
Tyler Parker
Muh hero faggot, eat shit and die.
Alexander Parker
He's going to make it an action manga.
Colton Cooper
How will the rich boi fit into her life?
Jace Taylor
Back to your containment thread you fucking abortion
Isaac Cook
>Chainsaw Man >successful Dude what?
Oliver Ross
Yui would have been better if the male mc was better. He feels like a side character miscast as a mc
Ethan Howard
>highest ranking so far >color page next week
Jack Roberts
I wouldn't like that
Jeremiah Peterson
Come on, don't tell me this shouldn't at least be something like Gintama
He's a parody of a main guy archetype in shoujo. His schtick of "I want to be a vet because my pet goldfish died" sucks though
Brandon Brown
The first chapter had too many characters for any to make a real impression other than Black Yui. Shiibashi tried to pack too much content. Hopefully he starts focusing more in the next few chapters.
Logan Campbell
Yui seems like a mix of Rosario + Vampire and Beelzebub. Just hope the author includes the good/interesting stuff from both into it
Landon Parker
Is it me or we just got early spoilers? There's already Kimetsu, op and others
Cameron Reyes
You mean late.
Josiah Russell
Fuck off you pussy. He's a handsome manly man.
Nicholas Nguyen
Chainsaw man is safe But not out of the danger yet Also colour page next week so that's good
Nolan Bennett
text spoilers usually come out on wednesday, this is normal
Noah Cox
>Ne0;lation higher then Higuma and Jimoto ga Japan You know you fucked up when Ne0 is beating you. It was dead last ever since it was ranked. Also cool that Chainsaw Man is higher and getting a CP.
Caleb Taylor
>and Jimoto ga Japan Last spot is the gag spot.
Thomas Perez
I just wish he doesnt go full rosario + vampire with the girl personality so they become 2 different characters, i liked nura because both of mc personalities actualy feel like they were the same guy in the end
Nicholas Torres
Chainsaw and Saiyuki seem to be the most interesting new series since Neverland
Carter Sullivan
>Saiyuki what?
Carter Gray
>A dude fighting demons and a kid fighting demons seem to be the most interesting new series since kids fighting demons I wonder what is your favorite shounen trope.
>both Tanaka Seiji and Alice & Taiyo barely made it out of the U19 club >Momoji no Kisetsu and Invade You! were so unremarkable no one even bothered with the edits >they lasted longer than Ziga anyways wew
Ayden Russell
Well at least the Japanese were not a bunch of absolute babies with mha developments
Jason Parker
you forgot gay
Hudson Richardson
What hits will 2019 have? Samurai 8 or will it be another Platinum End?
Julian Adams
Do you know what awoke his marks?
Hudson Jenkins
Is Act age safe?
James Hill
I remember back in 2014 when I thought Shokugeki was fantastic and deserved to last, but World Trigger was boring and deserved the axe. Oh how the tables have turned since then.
Joshua Garcia
Wew indeed. They were all fucking shit so good riddance.
Liam Scott
The fact that U19 ended under 19 chapters is fucking poetry.
Jonathan Anderson
Even JUMP itself prefer Ashihara at this point.
Extremely, sales have skyrocketed.
Gabriel Ramirez
A searing pain in his ass.
Lincoln Cook
Yes. Anime next year.
Christopher Jones
It's selling well, and doing well in rankings
John Myers
Tanjirou's death
Luis Lopez
The cover is a little bit bland. I think it's the face, the expression is... like as if he saw an annoying spider crawling around. The eyes need some reflections.
Ryder Diaz
Pretty sure the most recent club has Momoji in it
Alexander Clark
I think it's safe to say every established WSJ manga is getting an anime by it's 2nd year.
Dominic White
The notable thing about 2018 is the amount of axed manga. A lot of series from 2017 also got axed there. Quality-wise, it's a nice year. Jujutsu is very successful, Act-age is successful, Chainsaw Man has potential.
Ryder Sullivan
Though, Hinomaru Zumou got it abit late.
Isaac Sullivan
Saiki
Kevin Young
I will interpret this as Tanjirou is almost killed by Akaza and this trigger his marks.
Anthony Martin
Awesome.
Nicholas Howard
U19 was unironically kino. It's a gold standard for axe bait. It will never be forgotten.
Benjamin Wood
I meant post 2015 Jump manga, all of them got their anime announcement within 2 years.
Michael Roberts
>Bad year >Not bad decade
Hunter Perry
It couldn't survive as a manga. But it survived as a meme.
Jeremiah Campbell
Don't read jump if you don't like it
Brayden Adams
Meant to say all Post 2013 manga had an anime announcement within 2 years of serialization. So, i assume Jujutsu and act age will get theirs late 2020
Charles Martin
>that skin color
Is this some kind of Japanese The Simpsons spin-off?
Isaac Roberts
Name one series which is good except One Piece now.
Evan Gray
That's a success in its own way isn't it. It died for our sins. Truly the manga we didn't deserve.
Anthony Miller
With Bokuben and Dr. Stone airing this year it seems like a sure thing
Joseph Bennett
And then you have fucking JAPAN getting an anime within 2 weeks of serialisation.
Levi Perez
Two Pieces in your butthole
Jackson Diaz
David axed when???
Cameron Davis
Shiibashi's art is godly, I wish he got better stories.
Samuel Parker
For now it's their little experiment. Remember this smug robot asshole?
>So, i assume Jujutsu and act age will get theirs late 2020 Why late? Bokuben: February 6, 2017 - Spring 2019 Dr. Stone: March 6, 2017 - Summer 2019 Act-age is January 22, 2018 and Jujutsu is March 5, 2018 like Dr. Stone.
Logan Morgan
It's a sure thing with new Jump. It's very difficult to predict with Pre 2010 Jump when long anime series was triumphant.
Jayden Roberts
Kimetsu got his anime announcement in August 2018 and it's airing in spring 2019
Luke Wood
When are these two getting their own series? They won that gold competition.
I'd argue that Kimetsu and Neverland still started in the "old" jump. Then they changed their anime politics and everything got an adaptation (Yuuna, Zumou, Neverland, Kimetsu, Bokuben, Dr. Stone). I think that all the new series are going to get it fast just like Bokuben and Dr. stone.
Benjamin Perez
pre-emptive axe
Robert Anderson
Depends on when you define "before". It's still probably the least diverse of the big shounen magazines.
Samuel Allen
those contest winners have a 90% failure rate i'm not surprised shueisha is dragging their feet with giving them a chance if they weren't contractually bound by the golden cu rules, they would just ignore them
Matthew Rodriguez
You made me realise this year is going to have the most Shonen Jump anime
Landon Myers
Authors are not prepared for the mangaka life
Bentley Martinez
Color pages when? Isn't it kinda late?
Andrew Jackson
I think the only successes have been Beelzebub and Nurarihyon no Mago and Muhyo to Roji Muhyo to Roji didn't even win its GFC in 2004, they just liked it enough to also give it a serialization So 3 successes out of 13 annual Golden Future Cups, each with like 5 contestants, so 3/65
Luis Brown
In the end MHA is just another shounentrash, nothing more, nothing less. People like power ups no matter how much they pretend that their series is somehow different from all the other ones.
Joseph Thomas
In other news, ice is cold.
Jayden Young
It's important to have the competition so complete rookies can have a genuine shot at finding success in the biggest magazine. It almost never works out but this chance is there so young aspiring mangaka don't lose hope. It's a good way to hook newcomers in and keep the best ones at Shueisha for as long as possible.
Dylan Jenkins
ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/金未来杯 Actually 68 total GFC oneshots have been featured in the magazine 3/68 = 4.41% success rate
And Beelzebub was the most recent hit, that was 2008's winner. 10 years of failure, they should just retire it
Henry Powell
Neo better than higuma. What went wrong?
Asher Adams
Ne0 went full retard while Higuma is doing its edgefest with a serious face.
Colton Diaz
I really liked the translated chapters for this, hope the rest of the series gets translated one day
Anthony Brown
2010 and 2013 the biggest failures
Mason Murphy
2011 and 2015 were also bad
Jaxon Gutierrez
Is Yuuna in the 5th place because of Chiaki suffering arc?
Camden Wilson
That happens in 2 chapters. Guessing Japan liked it when Kogarashi told his harem to fuck off
Adam Watson
>( 144 ) Yuragi-sō no Yūna-san 144 was just the beginning of the school trip
Jace Miller
>3 ( 96 ) Bokutachi wa Benkyō ga Dekinai >8 ( 6.5 ) Bokutachi wa Benkyō ga Dekinai What the fuck
>Saotome shimai E-Robot and Love Rush are 2 of the fastest axed series in Jump recently the mangaka moved to Plus and got a hit immediately although his writing did not improve
his manga is doing better than Akame ga Kill! author new manga albeit by not that much
Zachary Stewart
>hit only by the very low standards of jump+ it still doesn't chart on oricon so it could sell less than both e-robot and love rush for all we know
Levi Martin
same thing applies to Kagijin and Hitomi no Catoblepas 2 very fast axed series in WSJ meanwhile Summertime Render is doing fine on Plus
oh, I almost forgot Buddy Strike & Cross Manage mangaka is doing Blue Flag
Plus is saving careers over here
Colton Anderson
The mediocre iShoujo ran for 3 years on Jump. Anything can run on that magazine.
Oliver Rodriguez
Plus, not main jump
Mason Scott
Neo and Higuma are getting the axe 100%. David might be getting it 10 chapters later or so, it honestly doesn't look good for him. Even though I don't like it, Chainsawman is walking on thin ice but the editors seems content with having Fujimoto on board, so I think it's gonna avoid U19 Club at least. Yui Kamio - I actually really liked that one, it feels like something from 00s and not 2019. I'm not sure it can survive for long, though, I'll give it 8 volumes max. Sayuki is straight up not interesting, it's been two chapters and it's still just three fucking characters. If it won't step up it's game a bit, it's definitely getting the axe.
Bentley Fisher
>it still doesn't chart on oricon latest volume did chart 17221 **17436 Saotome shimai 3
Caleb Lewis
it's a manga about magical app
they moved from WSJ to Plus app when they lunched it because of its gimmick
Joshua Carter
life support yeah
Nolan Phillips
More like 2014. Only MHA is the success on that year.
Landon Morales
There’s that sumo manga
Mason Brown
That is not a success
Xavier Perez
Sure it is *Yakuza points gun at head* It’s a total success
Nathaniel Rogers
>the Japanese were not a bunch of absolute babies That's their main target demo
Carter Jenkins
>24 volumes and still going >anime Seems pretty successful to me.
I suspect Kimetsu will take 1st place in the coming weeks, Zenitsu chapters and Akaza should bolster the hype train. Next week is probably the most likely since OP has CP
Jose Barnes
>Jujutsu Kaisen #4 in one week sold 20k more than what Dr. Sales #9 sold in two entire weeks lol Wakey wakey Stonefags, MHAfags and BCfags

it's almost like this place is completely chock-full to the brim with retards who think the rest of the world literally doesn't exist for some reason
Luis Johnson
Taisho era is literally like a 10-12 year period, so it's a wonder no westerner knows it
Dominic Jenkins
It's safe. It just had more reprints ordered and its sales are trending upward every volume. It's not doing bad for a series that isn't a battle shounen, and the magazine needs non-battle series.
Jayden Harris
It's popular for the best school uniforms know to man.
>>MHA ranks first for chapter 214 I was going to ask how, but then I remembered that Jump voters are just strange sometimes.
Liam Scott
Which still doesn't make it the cover
Jordan Allen
I actually prefer it to your average jump cover which I find too busy when all the text and other info is placed on top of it. It's simple, but looks good (don't even read BC)
Xavier Thompson
It's just an inoffensive cover to get the job done for the deadline, no need to critique too much into it.
>an't remember the last time a WSJ series with such consistent high rank is this unknown in the west, It's better this way, less shitposting. It's worse when the opposite happens though, like pic related, the series end up being cancelled and western fans get the short end of the stick.
my only problem with Chainsaw and Jujutsu Kaisen is that they have a very similar setting to each other
the magazine only has 20 slots, if these series become a success then 2 of these slots will be occupied for the next 5+ years by 2 similar manga, which seems like a waste
I know I'm weird for thinking this
Noah Rogers
World Trigger says hi
Colton Reyes
It'd also be the third pseudo exorcist shonen action series in it. At least it has gore and a promising retarded story.
Connor Price
Why do you even care about slots, holy shit, stop being such a fucking NERD. Just read whatever you want and stop being spastic about trivial shit.

Chainsaw barely escapes the axed zone just now. It's still very mediocre to last for a while.

Normally I like to point out that what we translate as demon is a bit vague and the different series tackle it differently anyway but in this case you are right. They even have a similar artstyle
William Cruz

Easton White
W-What's wrong with Asta's face?
Tyler Lee
This was so fucking good. Designs, Waifu material, had it all.
Tabata draws fucking ugly faces. Which is a shame, because the guy is clearly able to draw and has nice lineart, he just insists on an artstyle that makes his characters look borderline retarded.
Jayden Reed
Remember when Boichi said if Stone evr got an anime he wanted a studio that could do nice backgrounds? Did he get his wish?
Caleb Adams

Liam Brooks
Because I like them.

It happens sometimes. They might be fans.
Elijah Bailey
This shit is going to be good just look at Yuzuriha's alien hips, made for breeding
Ayden Barnes
Right now they have enough chapters unpublished in a tankoban to fill volume 34, and would need 6 more chapters to fill volume 35, or 15 more chapters to fill volume 36, or 24 more chapters to fill volume 37. So if Soma is going to end in the near future, those would be roughly the milestones it would end on.

Eli Mitchell
>1st chapter ranking >guys, this is bad >7th chapter - the exact same ranking >THE REVIVAL I keked a little.
Dominic Gray
That and CP definitely saved it.
Alexander Diaz
>I sometimes forget that BC is the Toriko of our times Nope. I assume you don't read Black Clover? If there's one thing BC has that most series lack it's longevity. BC has the worldbuilding and setup established, and it will always be a thing as long as Tabata at the very least maintains his current quality. Jump needs pillars before One Piece ends. They're not going to axe BC otherwise they'd be shooting themselves in the foot.
Lincoln Hill
Not even Beelzebub ever got that retarded
Wyatt Morgan
Yet they're shooting themselves in their feet by keeping and shilling series based on personal feelings rather than results, reminder that Act Age and Jujutsu currently already outsells what BC sold with the same tanks but without two rounds of shilling, a jump game rep and a novel that the Tabata series got. I'm not even mad at him, we all know BC shouldn't have gone for as log as it did, he's talented enough and his 3rd entry would've had a really good chance to succeed, I'm blaming the editor that decided to shill and kill the manga, it's pretty obvious that it was so for at least the first two years of publication. Should've learned their lesson with Toriko, yet they're doing it again.
Jack Kelly
Yeah I have no doubts now, these two are gonna be generic garbage.
Sebastian Hall
Dr push with no sales
Jose Lewis
>being this delusional BC's glacial pacing is literally killing the series, the current arc has been going on for over two years already. Also, it got surpassed by fucking Chainsawman in popularity and Jujutsu in sales.
Lincoln Martin

>Yet they're shooting themselves in their feet by keeping and shilling series based on personal feelings rather than results That's Hinomaru Zumou
>reminder that Act Age and Jujutsu currently already outsells what BC sold with the same tanks but without two rounds of shilling Act Age won't last long and Jujutsu remains to be seen
>BC's glacial pacing Kek
Liam Cooper
Every series gets shilling, I notice only toriko and black clover gets shilling mentioned as a bad thing. BC is top 4 on TV Tokyo so that's more money then all these newbies will ever get. The rankings are good and streaming is great too, manga sales are still rising and people are converting from the pump and dump series that only last some years.
>The rankings are good and streaming is great too, manga sales are still rising All of those are entirely mediocre. It ranks beneath stuff like Boruto. The volumes are only around 250k with fucking 19 volumes. It does merely decent, nothing impressive for a jump series.
Hunter Carter
>It ranks beneath stuff like Boruto. That's not a bad thing lmao? BC is a fresh new franchise, Boruto is hanging off Naruto's coattails. >The volumes are only around 250k with fucking 19 volumes. It does merely decent, nothing impressive for a jump series. Detective Conan sells for even less that but it's lasted this fucking long because of its anime. Kochikame was a thing as well.
Gavin Bennett
>BC >Fresh It's almost 4 years old and has barely had any increase in popularity. Jujutsu Kaisen is fresh. Conan and other stuff was never in Jump, which has stricter standards for success due to being the biggest magazine. Stop pretending BC is anything but mediocre saleswise. It does decent as a series in general but as a Jump series it really is just a tryhard as Toriko.
Eli Powell
It currently outsells boruto in manga sales, will pass souma too. BC hasn't had a crossover with op and dbz like toriko did, not even a naruto crossover even though it could be done. Toriko's anime was on a downward spiral by the 2nd year unlike BC which is growing.
Andrew Kelly
>BC's biggest feat is to beat a monthly cashgrab, the worst trainwreck Jump currently has and the father of PUSH memes If those are the series you need to compare to then it's time to admit that your series is just doing average.
Ryan Clark
As someone who binged BC just recently, I agree with this pacing complaint about it. You can see the drop in quality with the recent arcs. BCfags keep on saying it's consistent in quality when it's really not. I can see it ending with this current arc in my opinion.
Elijah Powell
4 years is still fresh for a new IP. >which has stricter standards for success True, but anime can make a manga stay there despite not selling as much. A prime Jump example is Kochikame, which you called other stuff lmao.
Fuck off falseflagger.
Jose Rodriguez
>It currently outsells boruto in manga sales, will pass souma too. Don't really care about BC or this whole, but using fucking Boruto and Souma as examples doesn't really mean much desu. One is solely surviving thanks to its name and the other one is on its way out.
Thomas Brooks
BCfags and muh boogieman. Name a better duo.
Jonathan Moore
Yonagi
Chase Ortiz
MHA and Jeremy.
Joshua Morgan
BC's anime fucking sucks, and 4 years for a Jump manga is a long time and in that time BC has barely grown. The series is utterly generic and not interesting enough to garner a proper audience. Act Age and Jujutsu Kaisen is already doing better than BC did at the same early stage. Those are new IPs. Those are fresh. BC already passed it's chance and will never be a big hit.
BC can grow in time. Kingdom wasn't shit until the past 3 years either. OP had explosive growth rate despite already being first the past 6 years or so until 2011.
Michael Mitchell
Takei left Shueisha and they don't own the rights anymore.

Well, it's already been declining so far.

I won't call this "declining", it's stagnating like Dr. Push, but on a higher level. >clovercuck lying as usual
To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Dr. Stone.
Lucas James
Ah didn't know that.

>That's Hinomaru Zumou I wasn't talking just about BC, in fact I'm glad we're on the same wavelength with HZ. >Act Age won't last long and Jujutsu remains to be seen Yet they already outsell what BC made at the time, if they aren't going to last then why did BC did? Indeed every series gets shilling, but Toriko and BC get always mentioned due to how bad and blatant their advertising were/is. Also no way in hell BC is fourth on TV Tokyo, plus the ranking after the first big year and a half of push are stagnating in the middle with some occasional push here and there with manga sales that are actually declining.
Kayden Scott
I see quite literally noone talk about Black Clover anywhere outside of here and like 20 people on twitter attempting to be contrarian. Also anitube people- if you want them go right ahead.
It's ephemeral. No consistent fanart, no noticable cosplay, no doujin, no dedicated communities, nada. The series has some prime fujobait and it doesn't even really have any fujo. And I say this as someone who reads it every week.
Gabriel Long
>blatant their advertising were/is What? Standard color pages that give all newbies and ... everything? Just try to tell about the "new Naruto", as it was said in the context of the text in a place that will read 3,5 person. What did they do for it? In fact Clover did not have any advertising: Kishimoto PR was promoting the Academy, Oda Neverland, Togashi Kimetsu ...
Caleb Hughes
Shit why MHA always win? Goddammit.
Logan Clark
BC rankings are down because others are being pushed. Most of the current lineup will be gone in 2-3 years while bc stays for atleast a decade or more. >muh vocal fanbase = popularity The anime popularity cannot be denied in either the west or east so I don't know what your point is.
Having a fanbase actually does signal popularity, I agree. It's a shame BC doesn't seem to have one.
Carter Rivera
I guess doraemon isn't popular, never see threads in Yea Forums or jap boards.
Julian Morales
what in the fuck are you even talking about
Robert Johnson
He's saying that the lack of a Black Clover thread in Yea Forums doesn't mean it doesn't have a fanbase. After all, you claimed that BC doesn't have a fanbase in a previous post. That's like saying Doraemon doesn't have a fanbase because there are no threads about it in Yea Forums or /jp/.
Jacob Baker
I was talking about the lack of fanbase basically anywhere.

The only one that might still be here a year from now is Saiyuki, and that's just because it's an x factor, we haven't really seen if there's enough there for it to last. But I can say for sure after just one chapter that Kamio Yui is boring generic shit and probably won't even last as long as the guy's last manga. All this guy is good for is drawing cute girls, it was true for Nura and it's true now
Aiden Barnes
>shit battle system >shit fights >as for battles, it's the worst battle shonen running >"nips still like it" The entire goddamn manga is just fujo pandering

>The only one that might still be here a year from now is Saiyuki I'll be shocked if Saiyuki is still running one year from now, literally the only good thing about it is the premise possibly having potential to make the story interesting, but everything else just feels uninspired to me.

Why do people think Ufotable is instantly good? Tales of Zestiria? God Eater? Literally nobody talks about those 2 shows. And guess what? Kimetsu is literally by the director and writer team of Zestiria.
Jace Jackson
The Ufotable fanbase is silly to me because nobody watches most of what they produce. People don't care about Ufotable, they care about Fate by Ufotable. The same is true the other way around, I guess. Nobody cares about non-Ufotable Fate.
Gabriel Richardson
Those two are adapted from games, compared to that a manga adaptation is as straight forward as it gets. Of course no one knows if it's gonna be good until it comes out.
Julian Perez
>Zestiria The only thing there is to blame is the source material, you can't polish something that is already shit in the first place. Unless the writing in Yaiba is bad, there's no way they can do anything about it sincce its an adaptation in the first place. It's not some western comicbook adaptation for god sake, where the adaptation doesn't reflect on the source material, use your head dumbshit
Gavin Russell
A writing team in an manga adaptation is pointless, dude, they dont do much.
Landon Long
I never saw it, but I thought people said Zestria was done pretty well, source material considered?
Zestiria was easily fixed by the manga and the light novel. Hell the game's real problem was that it was unfinished, but instead of using the finished plot (which had been released over a year prior) the head director decided to do his own thing and then somehow ended up making the anime worse.
Only the first half and even then the pacing was terrible.
Cameron Parker
Meant for
Tyler Moore
Their animation style for action scenes suck too. Not satisfying
Tyler Ortiz
And they can't animate or direct an interesting conversation to save their lives. Ufotable is only good at effects.
