I didn't watch this when it aired but I downloaded the bd batch after people kept recommending it. Hated it. Got like 10 episodes in and deleted it.
I really wanted to believe after the first couple episodes that it was going to be different but as it went on it just got more and more cliche. Mitti is the very embodiment of the feckless Shoujo lead by the middle which is a stark contrast from the beginning. Yuck.

This was pretty underrated even when it aired. Now nobody talks about it anymore.

I really liked it and I think it's a lot better than people give credit for. I actually think it's better than Angel Beats. I don't think it's ever going to surpass Clannad or Kanon, and it was a bit uninnovative, but it was fun, had an interesting plot and actually had an ending I enjoyed, which most anime botch most of the time. I'm looking at you Guilty Crown.
