Who thought this would be a good mascot design?

In a world where everyone is trying to take down Pokemon, who the fuck thought Mike Wazowski's lovecraftian cousin should be the face that represents your franchise

Did the creators actually think that this yellow eyeball eldritch abomination could compete the likes of Pikachu, Agumon, Blue Eyes White dragon or all of the much cooler or cuter competitors?

Monster Rancher is dead.
DEAD!

Mocchi became the mascot in the anime, didn't it?

I personally loved Suezo's design. His giant eye and gaping mouth on the PS1 game cover will always come to mind when I think of Monster Rancher. Then again, I'm weird.

You're right they should have gone with that duck instead.

Alright I'll just cut to the chase then...who else wanted to fuck Pixie as a kid?

the anime really went in on that pikachu money

Those 3D covers were the worst thing about late 90s vidya

I know that feel.

I liked Suezo a lot in the Deception games.

Please be more constructive Rodimus.

that was the only reason I watched the show.

SOUL

Loved the show, only to find out like 2 weeks ago there was a 3rd season that fucks over the meaningful ending of the 2nd and traps Genki forever in the monster world but he doesn't give a fuck.

Loved Tiger and Hare as a kid. Also learned 2 weeks ago Hare and Edd from Ed Edd n Eddy had the same voice actor (it had been years since I heard Hare though)

One of the ps2 games killed my ps2 by trying to read a disk so fuck the games. Really loved the anime but haven't watched since it aired so it probably hasn't aged well, like Flint the Time Detective and Mon Coli Knights

Yeah one look at that cover and all i want is to breed that yellow eyeball

I'd probably send her to the grave if I gave her some rough lovin'. My god she's the definition of a glass cannon.

>played MR2 when I was a kid
>tried every CD I could find for rare monsters
>my monsters die so quickly for some reason
Good times.

*Best
I fucking love those 3D renders game covers had. They were more detailed than the actual game inside but had an unpolished feel that I liked. Very videogame-like, for a lack of a better term. I
And that's the exact image I was talking about in

Maybe younger you should stop throwing all your monsters into [F]ree-for-all cups.

I love Mochi

And it's a shame really. The first two games were miles better than any Pokeyman games. Monster summoning via CD was rad as fuck. The mascots however, look like utter shit no matter which version.

Disney Pixar for monsters inc

MR2 is the best monster-raising game ever made.

'sup OP.
