Will there ever be a shonen manga that actually develops and progresses its main pairing within the story? Im tiring of always seeing these "Oh yeah now they're married and have kids" endings and then retarded shippers pretend that there was anything there
Romance in Shonen
Probably not. Young boys don't give a shit about romance, and that's what shonen is targeted towards.
And that's where gay fanart comes in.
Emma/Norman
Not trying to make excuses, but honestly, most relationships are pretty damn shallow in real life too. For the most part, people tend to settle for whoever can stand their bullshit long enough to consider a significant other.
if u want romance, watch a romantic comedy or something. Not some shonen garbage
Yes.
NNT

>Kimagure Orange Road
>Nisekoi
>Ichigo 100%
maybe Kimagure Orange Road, but the others hell no
Those are argubaly worse than Shounen romances.
Those usually ACTIVELY push away the winning girl by making her a tsundere for 100+ chapters, then after she realizes she is one she slowly stop beings Tsundere before 200 chapters later she stops, but well after the point anyone except 'I TOLD YOU SHE'D WIN' fags on Yea Forums give a fucking shit.
Damn I miss rave master. It had soul.
It honestly declined.

>Kimagure Orange Road
One of the few dozen exceptions
>Nisekoi
are you fucking serious
>Ichigo 100%
didnt this move to a different mag later?
maybe magi
No. Editors of shounen magazines have a very straight idea of what is the public. 12-14 years old boys at the treehouse. They are never going to change. Think, kids that started to read one piece in 1998 have are older than 30 years old now and the history do not have matured a single bit.
Well, kimagure orange road took 4 years of nothing happening too.
Those aren’t battle shonen.
>actually develops and progresses its main pairing within the story?
Narusaku was the main pairing though, i don't know what make kishi change his mind other than greediness
>All these years
>STILL in denial
Simply amazing
>Nisekoi
>Ichigo 100%
Nnt.
The main couple is bland as shit in NnT except for their curses, but the secondary couples (King and Diane, Ban and Elaine, Zeldris and his dead waifu...all of them couples) are good.
Hajime no Ippo
The Japanese aren’t great at writing romance since Japanese relationships, especially marriage, have very little romance. It’s mostly based on convenience and tolerance of another person.
I really don't understand them. It is not like change anything in the history who Naruto fucks at the end.
That can be said for every place. They are less open about romance but seem more sincere in fiction than Western works. even when cringe worthy.
No one asked if it was good, just developed.
a better question is why do you fags care?
you don't read shonen for romance
At least Naruto had a movie and a decent romantic development.
>shonen manga
You could try ANY of the ones that fall under the romance genre, and there are plenty.
>a decent romantic development.
It didn't. He doesn't even mention her confession in the manga.
Was there confession in manga ???
Straight from Google image. It never brought out again.
Huh? Did you even read or watch Naruto? Hinata confesses to him, almost dies cause she gets BTFO by Pain, and it's never mentioned again.
except it wasn't and you know it
love can bloom on the battlefield user
I hate bad romance in shonen manga but do you know what I hate more than bad romance in shonen manga? Uchihas. They are mentally ill degenerates with the temper akin to a homemade bomb. They lack any sense of respect to the government or non-Uchiha people and they see themselves as the chosen people to rule the country yet they have 0 knowledge of politics or finances. I'm not even racist, I mean I have one Uchiha friend and even him agrees that his clan is full of unstable autists. The solution to this problem? I have one, a final solution you may call it. We have to eliminate them. All of them. Not only the men, but the women and the children too. Don't feel bad about it, they don't care for you and they wouldn't hesitate to kill you if given the chance, so we shouldn't hesitate either. I repeat, I'm not racist but the only words I have to describe my aversion to them are two simple words:
*ahem*
FUUUUUUUUUUUUCK UCHIHAS
Thank you for your attention.
>komatsu_unbirth.png
based and leafpilled
how can narusaku be the main pairing, if Hinata loved Naruto from the time he was an outcast and even influenced him in a positive way during chuunin exams.
>mfw the absolute purity of this post
Because Sakurafags are still seething
Inuyasha
You just know Sesshomaru ceushed that loli puss
you and me both. doubt many will take the risks with their series though.
All the war and stuff. Besides, Naruto was ready to die fighting Sasuke, so is kind is justified no wanting to think in other things. Although Naruto is really dense, and the filler between Kate summit and
War make him look like a complete autist.
Romance should never be the focus of a shounen, however saying that I feel like Rurouni Kenshin did a good job of it all the while still progressing the story and keeping the arc and the arcs coming, but a shounen's job is to keep the action and tension as high as possible as well as make their main characters as relatable to their audience. I feel like it is possible but to a young audience its never the focus and really shouldn't be the focus.
>War make him look like a complete autist.
Huh? Sure Naruto is an idiot, but the least he could have done with thank Hinata for her confession and tell that despite not knowing how he feels, he was really happy to hear that she was in love with him which would have been another point for NH. Instead Kishimoto decides it's more important to bait NS, and has that arc end with Sakura hugging him.
>Inuyasha is a shounen.
>however saying that I feel like Rurouni Kenshin did a good job of it
It probably has to do with the fact that it's later revealed that Kenshin fell in love with someone before Kaoru. He didn't fit into the "asexual mc who has no time to think about romance" or "dense idiot" boxes. He's an MC that experienced love before so writing his romance with Kaoru was easy.
In what magazine was Inuyasha serialized?
And Naruto loved Sakura
core part of the story but not the main focus. both of them have lives outside of their romance and it feels like a normal relationship without bullshit drama
