they fucked in the novels
YES! I knew it!
Can you summarize it in 10 words or less? This voice is impossible to listen to.
Kino is Agender and western media fails to recognize nonbinary genders from Japanese media.
Even if true that doesn't mean xhir can't have sex.
Objectively wrong.
She's a girl.
A female.
She has breasts, a vagina, and she can bear children.
Why is this so hard for those individuals to understand...
This faggot, there are only two genders.
The last time they meet is the ship country
>Agender
No such thing.
There are men, women, and people with chromosomal disorders.
N-no way. This can't be true.. You're lying to me.
Like rabbits
You mean mental issues, closing all those asylums in the 90's was a mistake.
gas those who lewd potatoes
Well like the three or four newest novels aren't translated, so maybe they meet in them, but so far it's been 9 novels and they didn't meet again. So I doubt it
Generally speaking they have mental issues as well, but a chromosomal disorder leads primarily to physical problems.

I just watched every Kino anime from 2003-2007 and most of them were legit masterpieces imo. The 2007 Shaft short film wasn't as good as the stuff before it but it was still good. I watched a couple episodes of the 2017 anime too and it was really good too. Seems like everything related to the series is great. I wish there were official translations of more than the first LN volume. At least they're getting fan translated.
Why are people arguing about if she's a guy or girl? It isn't generally a prominent point in the series but there are several parts of the original anime that make it incredibly obvious she's a girl. Her backstory has her as a little girl.
No-no-no I absolutely cannot accept this they were too perfect together.
Do you know if any of the artbooks are scanned and available for download? I've only managed to find one site with them and you can only download like 5 images before they don't allow you to download anymore.
>Why are people arguing about if she's a guy or girl?
Politics.
Kino is my favorite anime
*licking Kino's feet*
How do you feel about the sheep?
no, only I can lewd kino's armpits and feet
Kino is an uncaring monster that lets people die even if she can save them. She even turned the coliseum country into a battle royale for no reason.
Artbooks? Well if you mean these:
vk (.) сом (/) album - 7020 6971 _ 2495 11356
vk (.) сом (/) album - 7020 6971 _ 2508 86059
That's not kind, user. Sharing is caring.
Thanks but I don't think these are what I want. There's apparently 3 artbooks that have been released. These don't really look like artbooks, they have too many words.
>Why are people arguing about if she's a guy or girl?
No one is arguing about it.
What are they called exactly? I could look for it on tracker or you could.
The original series far better depicts the events of the colosseum than the reboot series.
She creates the rule that the upper class was to fight to the death and whoever was left standing would become the new ruler and she killed the ruler to avenge a contestant who he personally shot dead just for laughs.
The new series depicted her as less noble in the new version of the colosseum story.
I didn't watch the video either so I don't know if it focuses on languages or other.
Japanese language can be gender neutral and you can refer to people without gender in a manner that isn't derogatory unless you want to be. So it's a lot easier for an author to leave characters sexually ambiguous.
Spanish is a gendered language so you often end in "-o" for masculine or "-a" for feminine whether or not the subject in question is a person or an object.
English doesn't have a colloquial way of being gender neutral in speech and not be disrespectful. You can be gender neutral in English, but a lot of people will get pissed at you for referring to them as an "it". And who the hell unironically uses "xer" or "xim"?
An example is Najimi from Komi-san. In the
English fan translations they try to avoid using her or she with Najimi to keep the gender ambiougous but most people who read refer to Najimi as female due to lack of masculine features even though the character's gender is supposed to be unknown to the reader and MC's.
tl;dr Japanese language conventions make it easier to leave a character's gender ambiguous
P.S. for anyone who did watch the video is he saying that the character's gender is supposed to be unknown or is he actually saying the charterer is agender?
>She even turned the coliseum country into a battle royale for no reason.
Firstly, not the whole country one the upper class citizens that got the status for killing other travelers. Secondly, there was a very good reason for that and this way she indirectly saved a lot of travelers who otherwise could have been lured into this trap of a country.
>P.S. for anyone who did watch the video is he saying that the character's gender is supposed to be unknown or is he actually saying the charterer is agender?
Who cares.
It's some youtube nobody shilling his video.
Ignore him.
>Japanese language can be gender neutral and you can refer to people without gender in a manner that isn't derogatory unless you want to be. So it's a lot easier for an author to leave characters sexually ambiguous.
Nani? How gendered words have anything to do with sexuality?
>English doesn't have a colloquial way of being gender neutral in speech
Except there is. One could use "they" if the gender is not specified and it'll still be perfectly respectable. "It" is for objects and animals.
That's part of the problem. I don't know. I haven't been able to find much info on them other than that they exist. There's apparently one called Rouge.
I watched both. I heard the new one is closer to how it goes down in the LN but I haven't started reading those yet. I agree that the old adaptation does it better but in both cases she still has everyone fight to the death. That's the only time in the series she actually tries to change something in any of the countries.
Yeah, Japanese is like this but Kino is unambiguously female. Whether she's attracted to men or women isn't touched on from what I remember because it's not relevant but being a tomboy doesn't make someone genderless.
>That's the only time in the series she actually tries to change something in any of the countries.
Well she earned the right to.
Oh, also the one I started downloading before it wouldn't let me download anymore images is apparently called Tabibito no Hanashi - You. I wonder if that download limit is a daily thing though.
Go read the magical girl spinoff if you're that desperate to see them interact.
What spinoff?
Alright. Let me apply my superior searching skills for a sec here. If I won't be able to find it, it doesn't exist on the internet.
Read Kino Gakuen
Well, too bad, I guess it doesn't exist after all. I tried my best, user.
What is your favorite story in the series? From any anime adaptation or the LN? I've only seen the original anime but the one with the 3 guys polishing, taking apart, and putting back together the railroad track or the one with the prophesy book are my favorites.
My favorite story is about the books country. Some nice 4th wall breaking and inception-like themes. The one you noticed about the railroad had another story about democracy there that brought back less than pleasant thoughts about the history of this country.
>404 not found: error
She does have breasts.
The books one was interesting but I'm not sure I followed some of it. Maybe that's part of the point though. It did seem at points like it was saying most of the episode was something from a book.
Please stop, my Kino can't be this lewd.
I ship 03 kino with 17 kino
>that doujin where Kino has to have sex with some guy to get some info and tries to kill him before he cums but he still cums after he's dead
D-don't remind me! Kino is pure and for Shizu only!
I enjoyed the one where the little boy asks Kino to take him with her, but she just coldly refuses and goes on her way.
The mysterious walled city with no entrance and the enigmatic shoe and voice is also good.
My absolute favorite one though is A Land with History.
It's unfortunate that the anime adaptation of it was so bad... As much as I love Kino, I didn't want to just see her telling the story.
I haven’t seen Kino since she went to the Labryinth Country
Country of liars is a favorite of mine. I love the ending
>less than pleasant thoughts about the history of this country
I meant the history of this real country where I live. Some uncanny parallels with the democracy, equality and vote of the majority strory and the bloody revolution.. you get it.
>Kino Gakuen
>Spinning off from a joke in the afterword to volume four of Kino's Journey, the story finds Kino attending a high school with her talking cell phone strap, Hermes. When students start turning into monsters, Kino transforms into a gun toting magical girl, but her efforts are thwarted by the incompetent would be rival hero claiming to be her partner, Shizu.
Sounds fun.
I cant imagine Bell and Kino getting along
I actually started reading it, it's quite cute.
I agree with this, he seems a good guy.
too bad it only lasts five volumes. I'm pretty sure Sigsawa just gave up or stopped caring.
They bonded after chasing after Hermes who took off with Hermes at Hermes’s request.
All Kino did at first was ask Bell to show her around the city
Cute!
>implying the yandere loli would let near her man
Kino is kino
Kino's dad wouldn't program sex simulations into her VR bed
no way
