Which manga's art do you like the most? For me, this mangaka hits all the right spots. He somehow makes all the girls look really soft, and his work is lewder and more fappable than a lot of doujins.

B-Berserk
so he can whip his dick out any time
I've got a ton I like for different reasons. Here's a short list
Miura - one of the best if not hte best fantasy art manga artist
Horikoshi - love his designs and how he knows how to simplify things while still keep everything readable
Oda - for designs and imagination
Ito - obvious reasons
Urasawa - I love how many types of faces he can fit in a manga style
Demizu Posuka - because how lose but expressive she is
That dude that draw Pun-Pun - I like the surreal charm of his drawings and how everything is cute but got enough ugliness in it to keep it interesting
I'm waiting for Miura to die already so I can laugh at you fags even harder.
I fucking love Atsushi Nakayama's art. Just something about the style.
It looks like shit though.
translations never
I'm a big pleb when it comes to manga, but I really like Inio Asano and Daisuke Igarashi when it comes to art. To name a specific manga, probably Kaijuu no Kodomo.
You have awful taste.
Dowman Sayman
TG:Re
Dungeon meshi, out of the monthly high quality popular mangas its the most balanced. It doesn't have any particular weak aspect to it while the character faces, which matter the most, are done amazingly well.
Punpun
>it’s good because it looks like shit, it SUPPOSED TO LOOK LIKE THAT
What the fuck are you on about?
It's just one of those russian troll accounts, you should ignore them.
You don't understand expressive art, user.
i've a weak spot for traditional fantasy things.
>non-generic style
>looks like shit
Pick one
Yeah, I don't like this at all
Good taste, also pretty sure his art peaked during cochlea/rushima where it had the perfect balance of sketchy & detailed art.
Picked up the Bakemonogatari manga recently, it's really nice. The artist's more realistic style makes all the weird artsy shit that much more surreal.
Berserk, Blade of the Immortal, and similar.
I have a soft spot for Konchiki's /h/ style though.
Based
Also jiro Matsumoto
Boichi tops my list every day of the week, everything he does just looks fucking fantastic, humans(as long as they're not women), buildings, robots, mechanical stuff in general, clothes etc.
Horikoshi has some great designs, he's great att making people and objects look strong and bulky with his more square style, great at conveying strenght and speed. Lots of detail and amazing perspective work
Toriyama, ironically for everything except Dragon Ball. Chrono Trigger and Dragon Quest really allows him to shine with the detailed linework, also his vehicles in general
Itagaki Keisuke, despite his "iconic" style of anatomy he has a great sense of conveing motion and leading the reader into an impact, has a very smooth style in contrast to Hori and has a keen eye for detail
Those are just from the top of my head
yabuki's to love ru
Something about how kamome draws hands really stands out out. Artists either usually suck at them, or draw them so dainty and perfect that they seem inhuman. These really ground the characters in reality.
Togashi is the great artist to ever exist in the industry, he, who knows his handiwork like no other. His panel composotion is unmatched, his distinctive use of different line weights and his unique artstyle is just incredible. The man only uses ink and a pencil for his drawings without having to rely on garbage looking digital programs. Togashi is very subtle when it comes to art and it requires a trained eye to see the brilliancy in his style.
Tsutomu Takahashi's art is great. I love the combination of loose, sketchy line work, unique character designs and heavy inking and brush strokes. He does a great job at portraying light and mood through his art alone.
One of the best looking ongoing mangas right now. My only gripe is that poses outside of battles tend to look super stiff.
The art is Vagabond is pretty fucking glorious.
Great taste.
lol gay
Incoming opinions that no one has asked for.
GOAT tier:
Masanori Morita (my personal favourite)
Keichii Koike
Katsuhiro Otomo
Goseki Kojima
Excellent tier:
Takahashi Tsutomu
Ryoichi Ikegami
Taiyou Matsumoto
Kentaro Miura
Tetsuo Hara
Jiro Taniguchi
Yamaguchi Takayuki
Good tier.
Hiroaki Samura
Inoue Takehiko
Masasumi Kakizaki
Hirohiko Araki
Kazuhiko Shimamoto
Bakuon Rettou was amazing, his influence on Nihei and subseqently Hayashida Q is really obvious.
Usogui's art style just fits my taste just right, great expressions and good choreography helps too.
>Kakizaki this low
>Togashi not even included
Yeah, shit list.
I like Yoshikadu, the one from Dont melt away Mizore-san!, Dorohedoro or Douman Seiman. Pretty much unique art.
Togashi is a mediocre artist and is shilled here by people with genuine brain damage or trolls. He isn't bad but is nowhere near the contender for best artist in any capacity.
Something about the style just does it for me.
I like that the art reflects the royal and norse fantasy the story has.
I really like both of these, pic related as well.
it was on my mind for some time now and i decided to check it out because of this thread, opening random chapter (55) and im hit in the face with uncensored nips and c****
is this a massive fucking doujin?
i like it
I love his magic and backgrounds in general but hate how he draws characters
Kinda reverse Horikoshi
Mediocre by your shitty standards? I'm not even surprised judging by your failed list.
Goseki Kojima is lame, and Kakizaki is objectively one of the best, he makes Miura look like a lil bitch
Itoh Sei has to be one of the most underrated artists/mangaka
All his stuff is fucking amazing
His pages are so fucking stylish
let this guy make dark fantasy, and he would be the most complete artist in history of manga.
> inb4 muh girls face
I will never understand people who make such lists. I mean, what's even the point in comparing artists with a weekly schedule to someone like Miura or Inoue who has months to deliver a chapter. It's bullshit.
I shouldn't have said Inoue as he drew SM on a weekly basis, but I could've picked anyone else there.
Same but too bad everything he does gets the axe
I thought that other guy was being mean before you posted this. It does, indeed, look like absolute shit.
SD*
Dungeon meshi looks great while avoiding looking generic or boring, and having just a little western table top influence. I hope when it's inevitable anime spawns they don't fuck it up.
Gunnm
and from me ill go with Owari no Seraph just because the characters are done very well, the background and surroundings arent that special but the characters are just too good
Love him aswell, he uploads regularly his stuff on YT
youtube.com
An artist with a close artstyle is Satoshi Mizukami, you could check out his work too! It's a bit stiffer but has just as much SOUL.
Same. A thing I really loved from her is that image in which she mixes up the races of the main cast. It's neat and so easy on the eye.
Shit man, didn't know about him. Gonna check his stuff out.
Personally I love Takehiko Inoue for how fucking raw and accomplished everything he does look, and really appreciate how cute the Bokuben guy makes his girls look, they're just fucking adorable.
Also how come none mentionned Murata? The man is a fucking god.
How many manga artists were influenced by Mignola?
For me, it is 冨樫 義博.
>and really appreciate how cute the Bokuben guy makes his girls look, they're just fucking adorable
Not even close to how cute the MC is becoming
Tsukushi's art is amazing.
What is it with trashy shounen and solid black? Is it to get away with drawing no detail? Do the magazines mandate it for printing reasons?
Five Star Stories
What do you mean?
It doesn't though.
Sometimes.
Your picture looks like it lacks coloring/is incomplete.
Something more commonly posted
you could've picked a better cover, imo that one was his wasn't his best
No one fucks with Mignola, man. There's a reason why he's considered one of the best ever
Tonari no Kashiwagi san. DO NOT READ IT.
Came here to post this.
I fucking love Yabuki's layouts. Every little detail flows so naturally. I love the way he uses the architecture of the city and the people and objects in the background. The anatomy and points of view are just so damn playful. Sometimes the lewds almost feel incidental.
That's kind of like saying Christ almost feels incidental to The Last Supper, but I think there's some truth in that.
unironically yabuki kentaro's art
imagine what a world without shitposting would look like.
it's hard ecchi
Calling Togashi "mediocre" is an insult to actual meiocre artists. He's "meh" at best.
I like Q Hayashida's art a lot.
he can draw the dragon maid characters better than the dragon maid mangaka
Keyman was a great ride.
Everyone read Monster Collection
I never really follow who was who's assistant and stuff that closely but Takahashi --> Nihei --> Hayashida is a pretty good tree. Does Hayashida have any notable assistants and who did Takahashi apprentice under?
Hayashida was never Nihei's assistant.
Nagabe's art is fucking amazing. It has a really cool eerie fairy tale feel that reminds me a little of european comics.
True art, Japan and Japan fanboys BTFO. Chad Tintin is in town.
i also love Tintin as well, he is such an over powered anime character
Fuck Kubo for spreading the no background excuse, artists were actually sorry about their lack of skills to not fill it up but now they just say it's on purpose for minimalism.
yeah kubo did sort of start a bad habbit their before he started doing it i would see lots of manga with backgorunds for every panel even the goofy chibi exaggerated expressions panels that mangaka do sometimes. i hope this trend dies out of having characters float in the white void because the anime will fix it later.
Really digging this guy's art lately. I'm surprised how the harem is shit stigma got me to avoid the manga entirely before the anime aired and it turned out better than expected.
I like Tomi Akihito style which we get more Stravaganza updates
Unironically one of the greatest postmodern artists.
It was licensed in English so sooner or later
yozakura quartet
kinda looks like scott pilgrim
always wanted to read that, but seems uncomplete. Might give it a try If I like the movie.
Don't know their names without checking, but whoever's behind:
>Witch Hat Atelier
>Seikai no Monshou
>Drifting Dragons
Nihei maybe, he's kinda lazy with shading now-days but in general I like his style. Maybe the Eldlive mangaka too. Definitely Haruko Ichikawa, and Miyazaki too.
If non-japs count, then Madeline Rosca from Hollow Fields is damn nice looking also.
excellent art. would place it in a top 20.
pic related, it's sekai no monshou's excellent smug
>98 post

>no Kaoru Mori
I am disappointed Yea Forums, disappointed
I was going to say that. She got me at the first page.
>You will never have this.
Not familiar with anything else Yako Gureishi has done, but Somali is absolutely stunning with its details (I'm a sucker for details)
Along those lines, I love shit by Miura and Itou, of course.
>tfw no steppe waifu who would play swing with you
It looks like shit.
>textile porn
Thanks for this. Looks incredible.
or this
>tfw no steppe waifu who would rides would you, singing all the way.
The guy had to marry her. I knew women are evil creatures preying on unsuspecting men.
I know right.
Bacha bazi arc when?
I just really love Sho's style. It can look a bit rough in the early chapters, but once he gets into the swing of things, it really shows the amount of time and effort he puts into each page. A lot of his stuff just has this Tim Burton-esque feel to it, and he excels at drawing characters emoting.
>Yozakura quartet
It kills me having to wait so long between releases.
yabuki is lowkey a god of paneling and angles. It helps make things "super interesting" . Nobody comes close with ecchi, even Yoshi. Yoshi is perhaps better at anatomical accuracy like greek sculpture, but his ecchi stuff is much less "super interesting"
