Is this the biggest letdown in anime history? Togashi had a perfectly decent arc and suddenly it goes
>We won't fight you anymore
And let Gon & Killua live because of friendship. It's like the whole arc peaked at Kurapika vs Uvogin and you think more amazing stuff will happen but it stops, what a subversion. And we didn't know about the stronger nen after death at that point, he just created the rule on the spot to move on.
Is this the biggest letdown in anime history? Togashi had a perfectly decent arc and suddenly it goes
>Is this the biggest letdown in anime history?
it's not even the biggest letdown in that arc. The Shadow Beasts jobbing and Chrollo vs. the Zoldycks were both way worse
The Troupe let up on Gon and Killua because of Pakunoda's memories
>biggest letdown
>when this was one of the best scenes in the series
I was kinda referring to the entire arc as a letdown but yeah I focused too much on the ending. It constantly looked like something big was gonna happen but no. And Chrollo VS the Zoldycks was too short, even ignoring that it didn't finish it could have been a full episode.
Rewatch the arc and turn your brain on this time. Hunter x Hunter may be good but it doesn't fall to unnecessary edgy grimdark shit.
The Troupe are psychopathic assholes but they're also humans. They felt Pakunoda "warming up" to the kids and decided to spare them instead of just brutally killing them, because they're humans. That scene also made the Troupe sympathetic
>That scene also made the Troupe sympathetic
It didn't. The shit they did to Kurapikola's village was beyond fucked. There is no redemption for them. Based Hisoka better kill them all. (2040)
Also the whole confrontation Kurapika vs Troupe taking place in one single arc would be way too tedious. Which is why it came back some arcs later in a boat.
You're ACTUALLY brain dead if you think this arc is about Kurapika vs Spiders
I said sympathetic, not empathetic
Dumb fucking retard, it's not just about Kurapika vs the Spiders but the conflict will obviously happen on the boat. Why do I even need to precise this you mouthbreather.
I know that is why I quoted you on it.
Well how did it come back then you stupid fucking idiot. It's the same thing as "oh they live in the same world so it came back" no you fucking moron this isn't about Kurapika's revenge at all this is about progressing the story behind the world of HxH and the bigger picture you fucking cretin
that's how toga always ends it though
>gon gets knocked out during the hunter exam and we don't get to see anyone else competing in the final tournament, despite the fact that we see things outside his pov all the time
>killua literally just walks out of his home in the rescue arc
>referee ends the fight early and then a rule is introduced to gon, killua and the viewer that results in them walking right out of heaven's arena
it's part of the reason I dropped hxh, just felt lazy on togashi's part. Like when the shadow beasts job and all get killed cause of "overconfidence"
Togashi doesn't want redemption for them. He doesn't even want you to feel bad for them. You just need to know that they're humans.
Yes I also want Hisoka and Kurapika to finish them. Except Machi though.
>An arc contains the Spiders and Kurapika on the same boat
>Conflict didn't happen yet
>Thus it is unsafe to say that those two will have a conflict on the boat although this is one of Kurapika's major plot points
Damn you really are retarded.
Machi will prob be killed by Kurapika. Hisoka will probably feel slightly sad and comment on it.
HxH must be really disappointing for fightfags.
I'm glad Togashi saved the spiders for a later (much bigger) arc, without Gon and Killua.
I wonder which members of the Phantom Troupe participated in the massacre and which weapons did they used.
>psychopathic assholes have empathy.
terrible writting. you're in denial.
Either they get used to how the series does fights/encounters or they go back to whatever series they are comparing it to. I still enjoy the fights for what they are.
Hitler loved children.
I'm still waiting for nen to be used in any way complicated as the fans claim it is used
I wonder how shalnark passed the hunter exam.
he seems fit enough to pass, especially if he already knew nen beforehand like some people do
Yeah but he work alone or did he team up with sokken? How did his exam looked like?
>Be a Phantom Troupe member
>Get abandoned in a dumpster city
>All you experience is poberty, death and survival
>Get to make friends while you live there
>They are like a family to you as you grow up
>You will take what you want from the world because it has taken everything for you, even your identity.
>Be Paku
>Loves daichou
>Daichou gets kidnapped
>This kids show her that there's people with a heart of gold out there and her daichou gets to live thanks to them
>She ends up killing herself so her family members don't fight each other, sending them her feelings about them and the boss and why she did what she did and how thankful she is to the kids.
It's by far one of the most emotional and sweet endings in any anime arc, brainlet. Just to respect Paku they won't touch them ever again.
More greentext about the universe and Logic of HxH? I love to hear them all.
