Mob Psycho is better than average right now but currently the standards for anime are very bad. Everybody is working at extremely rushed schedules with low funding and animators working constant overtime with no rest and quality has dropped as a result. And of course, we have the horrible plague that keeps popping up in different anime: cheap, shitty looking 3D CGI for things that are hard to draw.
Also, the best era of animation wasn't even anime anyway, it was golden age Disney.
