Look, here's the deal. Edgy doesn't always equal bad, but in Berserk's case it often does. Miura uses edge to create cheap drama and tension, and it's often just pathetic how poorly he'll right something in just to force edge into a scene.
99% the time when Casca is in "danger", it's because she's going to be raped or some shit. It's never "Oh no! Casca's about to be killed!", it's "Oh no! Casca's about to be raped!...again!"

You can just tell how completely immature and childish Miura and his work is. Like Miura, I like Casca, i'd be just as scared for her if her life was in danger, you don't have to have her be nearly raped every single time.
What really gets me is the lengths he'll go to just to shove nudity into a scene. Casca's clothing will magically defy all laws of physiques to turn to paper when the "plot" demands, like some history strong disciple shit, except being 100% unironic.

It's just bad writing, and the worst kind of edge, pic related is just embarrassing, I can't take anyone seriously when they try to pretend berserk is mature, or it isn't any worse then the other shows that get ripped on for being edgy.
I'm not even scratching the surface. Berserk is the worst kind of edgelord shit. Anons just have a double standard.
