It's not just the introduction of the whole Moe movement that has caused me to despise some anime so deeply. But it is also the laziness that I have observed in recent anime shows. Anime shows of today rely heavily on canned 3D animations. These CGI scenes clash quite badly with the scenes in the show. Gone are the days of shows where everything is drawn and animated in the traditional 2D way. Some of these shows cell-shade their environment or use 3D objects to fill in the background. And is hard not to notice the monotonous movements of template 3-D characters. Is quite awful actually.

I despise moe as well but there is still some good anime released here and there. Opm comes to mind. You can still watch older anime there is plenty to watch.

The moe movement started in the late 80's friend. And the market for it grew considerably to match the tastes of the people who support the industry the most. There are still non-moe shows being produced too, why are you cherry picking so bad. CGI alsi isn't going anywhere, it's up to you to find productions that do not use it or use it to an extent that you are okay with.
