I was under the impression that Deku and others close to him put up with his behavior because they are aware that he is good at heart, but his quirk just gives him a really short fuse.

The fight was not just Overhaul Kaiju vs Deku 100%, Deku "stomping" Overhaul at the very end isn't bad per se, what's important is everything leading to that point.

All in all I wish we got 1-B instead of 1-A and Monoma instead of Deku, but we get what we get

Actually, I thought it was quite good. I like character and ability development arcs, especially involving cast members that haven't been well explored, and this arc certainly had that. We got to see all the members of class 1-B in action, and it was a trip to see so many quirks being used in well developed ways (Kinoko Komori, the mushroom girl, is a strange mix of fairy tale like cuteness and dangerous power). We also got insight into Monoma and why he's such unspeakable birk. There were even some surprises on the 1-A side, like how well Tsu slots into being a team leader. And then we come to Shinso. I didn't like him at first, but his 'magnificent ruthless bastard with a heart' bit is winning me over. Hopefully he winds up in 1-A. For everyone's good.

It was awful, boring, dull. Didn't move the plot forward an inch by itself, what happened to Deku could've taken place literally anywhere else. Shinso drama is also absolutely terrible in my opinion, and the cherry on the cake was making Monoma completely useless in Eri's situation, what the characters did during that arc has absolutely no weight in the overall storyline.
It was a waste of time and space in the manga, it is a complete 2/10 for me.

Well, Shoto didn't do that. He made ice walls, which T4 smashed through, then threw fire at him, which he tanked. Again though, he was about to Prominence Burn his ass. It's a fight that'd go differently in a real-world scenario, and T4 says as much: that he has to put it on the line even in practice, which Shoto doesn't.

She didn't even have a plan, never communicated said nonexistant plan to her tam apart from 'group up' (which is basic fucking common sense), threw a fucking net at a living shadow (6/5 INT bw), told Aoyama to fall into the trap Kendou wanted (which in turn led to Shroom and Manga absoultely annhiliating the the team due to Momo telling Aoyama to give away their position), she was fundamentally incompetant at fighting Kendou when she could have made her trademark sticks so Kendou could impale herself while she was jumping around. Then to top it off, her grande ultimate keikakku was to gamble entirely on a single shot (which could have easily missed ot not be noticed by the rest of A2 or just land on the floor and be buried by shrooms) by giving her team what she should have made for them all before the match even started- and she used a fucking 18th century solid steel cannon to do this -with her trump card being to become a dead weight (literally) on the other team; which even then, she failed at because she restrained Kendous torso and not her fucking legs/arms

Momo quite literally did ~everything~ wrong. Yet she was praised for being a 6/5 supergenius. Worst fucking mach of the arc, Tokoyami was doomed the moment he was told he'd have to hardcarry three retards. He deserved better.

We don't know what Casca wants, but judging by her reaction after being woken for the first time after all that time she was rather grateful of Schierke and Farnese, and remembered Guts lovingly. She never said "why did you wake me up! I hate you!". Sure, her final reaction made her yell after remembering the events of the Eclipse, but she also was eager to see guts after all this time.
Her desire, after being woken, is what might be different to what Guts himself wants, but we've got yet to see that.
