For real. Athena was originally like a ghost that helped/inspired the saints during their battles. The idea was that every saint had his personal Athena, as a representation of what they wanted to protect/attained. Seiya had his sister, Hyoga his mother, etc. This idea was disregarded in favor of a physical Athena and that's how Saori born

It actually is because invalidates that a delicate man can also be a powerful warrior. And by the trailer we only got the character saying a "told ya" wich is out of character for the Shun we know, meaning she's probably a Strong Female Character now.
